Nice to see someone working on a wire wheel car instead of metal wheel, not that there is much difference between the two, but wondering why he is doing all this work when he isn’t replacing either the shoes or drums?
If only ! Can’t remember if I made it clear but I agree you should let the brake adjuster right off. On my mini the drums are then easy to take off, on the MGB they still need levering off, never understood why exactly

So much power to remove the drum. You better release the brake adjuster. The drum will come loose instantly. Did this more than a thousant times😀
