We pay for our college in one way or another. Education is NEVER free. And also, $22k worth of debt shouldn't be a problem to pay off as long as you're going to college for something that actually pays well (which is the only reason anyone should go to college)
that college is absolute s***hole if you ask me. there, no professor knows anything. the way they make money is by showing up "pitiful students" and attracting donors. the whole college acts like you should be grateful for whatever you have and don't ask anything. a waste of four years. they consider you as disposable and a toy to brainwash.
