Thanks for the info, my school has already sent a mail regarding the delays in visa approval, stating that we have until ending of October to ask for a full refund or withdrawal from program if not approved. On another hand I wanted to defer, but too late now cause the next session for my program of study is September 2022☹️☹️. Hoping for the best … Would start classes online though. Ve gotta risk the risk and sip my tea in front of my virtual-learning laptop while waiting for IRCC😆😆

Yemisi thank you for the info. I just deferred to winter intake January 2022. I was suppose to start in September and I’ve paid my fees too. My immigration lawyer told me if I do it online they’ll deny my visa again cos it has already been denied the first time. So I hope it will be in very soon. Cos I started this whole process from January this year. It’s not easy especially considering the amount of money I’ve really paid in all of the visa application. I am from Ghana and these people who are suppose to help you with the visa processing are just concerned about the money that’s how come I got denied the first time and this second one I got an immigration lawyer in Toronto who’s helping me so we just communicate on phone. Truthfully she’s been very good & patient. So I’m hoping for the best.

My admission came 2 weeks before resumption so I had to differ for January But then my school canceled the admission and said I’ll have to wait for them to go true my application again Finally my admission came in and I applied for my visa next day (2nd week of September) Now am scared I might not still get my visa before January and I don’t want to differ again
Now! In short you should have started since but once you dont get your visa approved, then you can do either of the two options in the video you just watched.

Hey Queen, going to the Biometrics centre is a complete waste of time. They aren't the one in charge of your vis decision. Theirs is only to do your Biometrics which they've completed.

Hi, my visa was approved and i got returned back home from Egypt on my way to Canada due to not having ArrivalCan ! When i went online to check i saw an update from the CiC saying my document is non invalid and there’s message explaining why.my program starting September 7 2022 and i already deferred to January 2023 ! Do you mean the message on CIC says valid? If yes, since you’ve deferred to January, you could travel again in December. And this time, don’t forget your Arrivecan, it is so important.

Good morning! If you're submitting the application inxluding that you'll be travelling together, then he should get his open work permit as soon as your visa is approved. For the second question, it depends. There's no one that doesn't want to travel with their spouse, it's just that you need sufficient funds to prove.

You can delay for as long. Just make sure your school accepts deferral and allows you to start classes in your home country (ask your program advisor) in case IRCC does not attend to you on time.

Have a business or buy a share or acquire land and prove with the documents, always convince a visa officer, you will be coming back to your home country, with your family ties and assets it's absolutely imperative and job availability of your program back home.

Yes. Defer and update IRCC. Or get into the country in Aug at least and apply for study permit extension once it’s 6 months to expiry and you’re still in school. I believe that’s what you’ll do. You cannot come into Canada if you’re not ienrolled for classes yet.

I believe they should have started sending you emails on tuition deadlines (it is followed strictly) and I think that deadline for Jan semester is end of January (confirm this) If you can still travel this month, there is no point deferring except you have other reasons. However, before you defer, always carry your program advisor along.

Hello, So, just to buttress what I said in the video. You can either continue the course even though you haven't gotten the visa but if you can't do that, then just defer.

Hello, All you need to do is email the person that sent the admission letter notifying them of your new decision. Mind you, you can only defer to Winter (Jan) and not to next year fall (September). I also deferred mine so I’m speaking from experience.🤣

Hello Ibrahim. You can raise a webform to inquire the status of your application. Also, you can send a mail to your program advisor explaining your situation and also ask if you can start classes online.

Guys I have an issue, recently got my PPR, but my school (Memorial University Newfoundland) said course registration has closed and they sent me a New Admission letter for fall 2022. So for me I contacted the school and I was told to wait. However, I have extended my study permit now and it was a very easy process. Contact your school, if they can reinstate your admission, however if they can't, wait till the new admission date and extend your study permit. It's relatively easy.
@okprosunday1451 Please Pardon me for asking too much. You mean after your visa was stamped on your passport, you extended it? So they granted you a visa to last till the next admission. Mine is from January 2023 deferred to September 2022 that's 9 months.
Your Visa is only to get you into Canada. Even if it's just remaining a day to expiration. You can extend your visa anytime you get in. Same as your permit which allows you to study in Canada. Make sure u get in to Canada before your Visa expires, the one that is stamped and sent to you in Nigeria. You will find it easy to extend any document once you are in.

I HV only gotten my conditional admission and the final later of acceptance will on be sent to me when I HV paid my full tuition fee
Oh that’s strange. What school is that? You need an unconditional offer but you could also use your conditional letter to apply for visa and explain that you’d pay up the balance but I will not advise you do so because it speaks financial difficulty and that can lead to denial. But then, you never know. All visa officers have their different views to these things. All the best!
To be honest, I know you may not want to hear this but you have to pay it all because once the visa officer sees that the reason you don’t have an unconditional offer is because you didn’t pay full fees as stated on the offer letter, they smell lack of finances which is the number one thing they look out for. They never want a liability in the country. My two-piece dear.
Hello Temitope, kindly watch the video to the end. There is no disadvantage and in case of doubt, reach out to your program advisor or International Student Centre in your school. My classes (in-person ) had started from 6th of september and last date of registration is 12 september , i got my visa stamped on 10th of september . What should i do defer my intake or wait for getting registered because i did not get any confirmation about my registration from the college side . Hello, the answer is actually simple. You either defer a semester or call the department on Monday to have your registration sorted and also explain you just got your visa.

@@kirandeepkaur277 impacting your studies is dependent on you. How well can you catch up? If you have fityher questions on the syllabus, I'll advise you call the program advisor. They're in the best position to give an answer.
You'll need to ask the school's International Student Centre to get a concrete answer.. But what I know is, if the program is a year course, then it's one year post graduate work permit
I dont have an answer for that. I only know people defer and work when they've done some semesters. Not when they land and didn't take any course. Double check with the International students office in your school.
It's crazzzzy. Time difference, limited understanding of the Canadian environment. But my advise, try to make friends quickly. I was lucky to have smart Africans that I rapport with every now and then

How fast can you get the admission? Because you also need to submit the new admission to IRCC before they approve the other one. If the admission is not out yet, best to withdraw your application or continue with the class. I have a video on what to do when your visa isn’t out. Nothing is different except if the school can’t approve your deferral for policy reasons. Otherwise, ask.

IRCC, processing period for a study permit is 2-13weeks period.

When i went online to check i saw an update from the CiC saying my document is non invalid and there’s message explaining why.my program starting September 7 2022 and i already deferred to January 2023 ! For the second question, it depends. There's no one that doesn't want to travel with their spouse, it's just that you need sufficient funds to prove.

If they cannot defer, ask them if you can start classes online. That’s the last option you have.

Yes. Defer and update IRCC. Or get into the country in Aug at least and apply for study permit extension once it’s 6 months to expiry and you’re still in school. I believe that’s what you’ll do.
You cannot come into Canada if you’re not ienrolled for classes yet.

I believe they should have started sending you emails on tuition deadlines (it is followed strictly) and I think that deadline for Jan semester is end of January (confirm this)
If you can still travel this month, there is no point deferring except you have other reasons.
However, before you defer, always carry your program advisor along.

All you need to do is email the person that sent the admission letter notifying them of your new decision.
Mind you, you can only defer to Winter (Jan) and not to next year fall (September).
I also deferred mine so I’m speaking from experience.🤣

Guys I have an issue, recently got my PPR, but my school (Memorial University Newfoundland) said course registration has closed and they sent me a New Admission letter for fall 2022.
The problem is I have submitted my passport to IRCC and my Course is a one year course, meaning the TVR issued might not Cover fall 2022.

Hello Sunday, please I am in the same situation. My admission is for January 2023 but my school just deferred my admission to September 2023 and I've sent my passport to IRCC. Please how were you able to resolve yours?
So for me I contacted the school and I was told to wait. However, I have extended my study permit now and it was a very easy process. Contact your school, if they can reinstate your admission, however if they can't, wait till the new admission date and extend your study permit. It's relatively easy.
@okprosunday1451 Please Pardon me for asking too much. You mean after your visa was stamped on your passport, you extended it? So they granted you a visa to last till the next admission. Mine is from January 2023 deferred to September 2022 that's 9 months.
Your Visa is only to get you into Canada. Even if it's just remaining a day to expiration. You can extend your visa anytime you get in. Same as your permit which allows you to study in Canada. Make sure u get in to Canada before your Visa expires, the one that is stamped and sent to you in Nigeria. You will find it easy to extend any document once you are in.

Oh that’s strange. What school is that? You need an unconditional offer but you could also use your conditional letter to apply for visa and explain that you’d pay up the balance but I will not advise you do so because it speaks financial difficulty and that can lead to denial.
But then, you never know. All visa officers have their different views to these things.

To be honest, I know you may not want to hear this but you have to pay it all because once the visa officer sees that the reason you don’t have an unconditional offer is because you didn’t pay full fees as stated on the offer letter, they smell lack of finances which is the number one thing they look out for. They never want a liability in the country.

My classes (in-person ) had started from 6th of september and last date of registration is 12 september , i got my visa stamped on 10th of september . Hello, the answer is actually simple. You either defer a semester or call the department on Monday to have your registration sorted and also explain you just got your visa.

How fast can you get the admission?
Because you also need to submit the new admission to IRCC before they approve the other one.
If the admission is not out yet, best to withdraw your application or continue with the class.
