The line in jack is 3.5 mm and the microphone input is a 2.5 mm jack. You will need an adaptor to use a mic with a 3.5mm plug.

Question.
Does the device that is the source of the sound (your phone in this example) need to have its volume up for you hear the sound through the transmitter. Or can the volume of the phone be turned all the way down.
Context: if you have a TV in a bar, and the sports game is on, but patrons want to listen to the in house music while others want to listen to the sports commentary, could you have the TV on mute while still providing sound for those listening in through the transmitter?

You always want to screw the antenna on before powering on a transmitter to avoid damaging the device.

I have this fm transmitter. If you press cycle and mute at the same time, the fm transmitter goes into high power mode.
