How to do a proper test:
    1) test the emergency braking with a single object moving slowly not a bunch of cones.
2)test if the optical sensors of elevate, mis+recognise any marking on road or pothole as an object.
    3) test the emergency braking on a slightly curved road.
    4) test with multiple objects on road like you are weaving through traffic and suddenly a person comes infront.

Without radar sensor the Elevate performed the best compared to other cars..
It's just honda's entry level Honda Sensing with only camera vs other other brands top notch ADAS..Honda also offers Honda sensing 360 & 360+ etc
People were saying bad about honda for not giving a radar etc etc but afterall it's the R&D & efforts which matter a lot in which Honda is ahead of chinese, koreans and indian brands which is proved in this video and they believes in making a car with proper R&D which also includes segment benchmark Ride quality+Handling balance despite 220mm ground clearance, space, comfort, reliability etc and does not believes in offering a toy with useless gimmicky features which other brands are offering..

Great video! It's refreshing to see comparisons focusing on ADAS features rather than just general car reviews, as it really gives a clear understanding of how these safety features work in real-world scenarios. I also think you covered all the right models for this analysis.
I had a couple of questions, though-if you could help clarify:
    a) Does ADAS work effectively at higher speeds as well?
    b) How does it handle situations with stationary objects like a truck or other obstacles that aren’t moving?
Thanks again for the in-depth comparison and for covering such an important aspect of modern cars.

    • @autoX
      @autoX  Месяц назад +1

ADAS works at high speeds but AEB might necessarily not since most systems do not bring the car to a complete halt from speeds above 80-100km/h. You only get warning and a light tap on the brakes, not full braking force. And, yes, it detects stationary objects as long as they are vehicles. ADAS systems work based on the imaging produced by the camera/radar. That's why it's categorically mentioned that these systems can only detect pedestrians, cyclists/motorcyclists, or vehicles.

    Pls read this comment carefully.
ADAS system needs to be calibrated timely. If the radar system is hit by anything, it needs to be sent to service centre and calibrated accordingly.
Even if same radar system is being used in different cars, based on the calibration, the response varies.
Kia and Hyundai are exactly same, but the response from both the cars are different.
Pls redo the test after calibrating all the cars properly.
I own MG Astor turbo. Pretty happy with the emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.

These systems work well regardless of the time of the day. As long as the headlamps are working, there’s no problem in detecting/imaging the dummy. Wasn’t an issue for the cam-based Honda. For foggy/bad weather conditions, we will have to plan the shoot based on the weather forecast. Maybe we can do a short video around Dec/Jan in Delhi. Let’s see…

Vow. You don’t care about the critics and sales numbers. You don’t need influencers to boost the sales. You don’t need competitive ads! You don’t need to throw in gimmick features and turbos just to compete in boosting sales. When it comes to automobiles and machines, reliability is the first to be seen. The No.1 smartphone brand don’t give you the latest hardware. But gives you the reliability. The loyal customers who buy those smartphones and cars will be consistent and never turn up to other brands or envy other brands. Being sold in less numbers doesn’t mean it has less value. It’s unique and those who bought them are unique as well in choosing. Value them as Independent thinkers who seeks reliability and those can be considered reliable, professional, trustworthy and loyal 😊
