On the second story. People dont understand how big of a deal a lawyers billable hours are. If you dont bill enough hours, it looks like you're not working, and the firm isn't making money. Unproductive lawyers are a big no-no when it comes to any law firm. If you're not billing, then what are you doing? This guy stealing OPs work and lowering his billable hours is the equivalent of wage theft times 10!

First Story: Teachers who bully a student and encourages other kids to bully said student shouldn’t be a teacher at all. Of course OP's dad would remember such a vile woman because she bullied his daughter. I hope she enjoys that insurance fraud charge
Second Story: First off, how is OP's boss a lawyer if he doesn’t know the law well and is scared to go to court? Second, it seems like this man tried to take OP's work and claim it as his own but it backfired insanely.
Third Story: OP isn’t an asshole for doing what they did. OP's mom wasn’t married when she was talking to other men online while her husband was dying; why should she be recognized as the wife during his funeral?

Story 1: Should have sent that video to the school board and local news channel as well if she still is a teacher, and maybe post it online tagging her in it. Some districts really frown on teachers publicly committing fraud, and local news love a good gossip piece on prominent community members, especially on a slow news day.

My GF was on the drill team in high school. The drill instructor was a former majorette and professional dancer, while the cheer instructor had only been a cheerleader during high school. Many kids ridiculed the drill team, saying they were the rejects who couldnt make the cheer squad. My GF and the gals on the drill team had the last laugh. Every one of the drill team members that tried out for their college's drill team made it. My GF and some of her drill teammates were given full scholarships. None of the cheerleaders that tried out for their college's cheer squad made the team.

As a teacher, I have worked with teacher’s who were bullies… I hated them. I hated what they did to my kids. They shouldn’t have been teachers, they shouldn’t have been allowed to be teachers. The silver lining, although thin, was, I got to have those kids after they did… I always did my best to build them back up again, put the pieces back in place, give them a supportive environment where they could feel safe. But it never should’ve happened. Those kids… everyone of them wonderful kids, should never have had to deal with those two teachers.

I always wonder how schools get away with bullying or punishing a student who is late when that student can't control their parents driving or their parents leaving work on time. I remember a article about a school that had basically put a child behind a partition during lunch because they were tardy so often. Basically ostracizing the child because of something that their parents did and those out of the child's control entirely.

I'm not even halfway through the first story, and boy, does that sound familiar. My bully started bullying me since the first day of kindergarten to graduation ((I graduated in 2002)). Her mommy was on the staff in my high school, so when I *DID* defend myself from her, the bully got off with a slap on the wrist ((because bully went cwying to mommeh)) and *I* was the one that got punished.
    But, I digress.
This takes place on a normal day, not like any other day. The two main characters you need to focus on are Bully A and Z ((she's important, don't forget her)).
Bully A is up to her usual spiel of bullying me, while I'm the hapless victim without a spine to stand up to her.
((I can clearly remember this day because it still make me giggle like a hyena at the thought.)) Here I am, thinking that this day could not get any worse.
    But, it got better.
I suddenly hear a voice ring out behind me:
    Z: KNOCK IT OFF, A!
Angry, A whirls around and stares down whoever D A R E D to speak up to her. Suddenly, her cruel smirk melts off her face as Z, *THE CO CAPTAIN OF THE DANCE/CHEER SQUAD* , and a few other members of said squad stalk over to her and step in front of me.
Of course, A tries to say that she "wasn't doing anything!!", but Z speaks up.
Z: I saw everything! Don't even try to lie. You were bullying her, AGAIN, and I'm putting a stop to it.
A: But, but, but, I was just joking around! I swear!
Z: *over her shoulder to me* Ya okay, (me)??
    Me: *absolutely baffled* Uh...uh-huh.
Z: You try that again with her and I'm going to the coach.
    A: *stalks off*
Any time I think back on that, it makes me smile. Any time A started up her shenanigans, it was like Z had a radar because there she was, just casually strolling past, causing A to back down.
I don't think this is QUITE prorevenge, but it's revenge nonetheless.

Last story: Another way to destroy a narcissist is wreck their so called "perfect" image. My ex-husband was one. He was a cheater, liar & a thief. To top it off he was a pastor's son who was a well respected member in the community. My ex presented a "could do no wrong/holier than thou"image. He constantly told everyone that I was a terrible person & how I abused him verbally & financially. I am a petty & vindictive person & do not take any Bull$#!+. I documented every instance of his multiple affairs, theft of money from my bank account, items he had stolen from friends & work place & showed that to EVERYONE he knew. Plus he had just gotten arrested for stealing from his employer to pay for a hooker. When I busted his chops to all he lost his freaking mind screaming "I ruined his life over & over. I just laughed. The cherry on top he went to prison a little later. Life is good!

ngl, that taking credit story sorta reminds me of when I was tryna interview people virtually for a research project. I offered $5 gift cards per interview and had one person agree to it and then they would refer me to someone else at the end of each interview. I interviewed the first person and then they referred me to someone who sounded similar to them but with a different story and then they referred me to another person who sounded the same. This went on for 3 or 4 more times until I just stopped and asked them to be honest if they were the same person and that I'll need them to be honest since the research is needed to help people and false information would affect it. they denied it but it didn't matter since I already was suspicious after the 2nd interview and scraped all the other interviews as fake. Wasted $30 since it was converted from USD to CAD.
Point being, if you think you fooled someone, they may not be fooled but just giving you the benefit of the doubt or don't wanna cause trouble. People who take credit or do scams are shitty

The first story: Boy, oh, boy did that which have it coming. As someone else pointed out, teachers who bully students and encourage their fellow classmates to believe them as well, do not deserve to be teachers. I had one such teacher in high school and I have another in middle school. I will never forget it. Of course that horrible tyrant of a teacher didn't remember OP or her father. To her, it was just a Friday, to Opie and her dad it was a formidable defining moment in their lives. That's the way narcissists are. The people that they abuse or treat like they're just convenient options are nothing more than the bit players in the movie that is their life while the narcissist is the star. I'm absolutely elated that OP's horrible former teacher got slapped down by karma. Having an insurance fraud rap on her record is something that will follow her indefinitely.

for anyone finding themselves having to write a will or anything similar: i don't recommend leaving someone out entirely without mention. it can be argued against you that the will's owner 'forgot' that person existed, therefore their mental state may be put into question. acknowledging the person and then explicitly saying they get nothing is more solid.

I plan to go one step further. A true white elephant. Once I have money, I'm buying a particular flowering plant, it's my absolute favorite plant on the planet. It's incredibly expensive, so much so that I've never actually seen it in person. Unfortunately, because it isn't suited to living in the US at all, it's from the rainforest I think, I'll have to shell out a lot of money to keep it alive and happy here on top of buying it in the first place. I'm fine with that, I've wanted this plant since I was a kid, so it's kinda my one big bucket list item.
Once I get it, I'm rewriting my will. I have a few suspected health conditions that mean my siblings will probably live quite a bit longer than I will. One of my siblings is a terrible person, but he's got one weakness. Our mom. And my mom openly adores this flower. That social pressure alone will make him want to keep it. It'll be thousands of dollars and hours of tedious work for a single orchid that blooms maybe once every 15 years. I can't imagine a better final gift.
It's a Gold of Kinabalu orchid, btw. They cost about the same as a house and they very rarely go to auction, so it's a pipe dream for sure. I'm also not sure how legal it is to own, since poaching has put it on the endangered list.

OP dident only get revenge on their boss but also the firm and the higer ups and afther that they was able to show what they acctualy did without the boss stealing their work i would call that a great revenge with multiple people getting hit by it.

that second story screams fake to me. it comes off as someone practicing their creative writing skills, trying to be dramatic and interesting, but failing. either that or OP sucks at writing a coherent and logical narrative.

Was it because of their dad being late or just because

About narcissistic people I'm not one but one day on minecraft I was talking to this underage girl I was talking about anime and stuff she reported me fir flirting I asked mojang to send me the transcript of the chat logs they did and when I read them myself destroyed my brain because omg was there a narcissistic undertone in my chats to this girl but I wasn't flirting just a nerd talking about his favorite anime. So yeah I was banned from that server. I don't mind that but reading my chat logs destroyed my personality as a talkative person that could talk to any stranger to a true hermit.
