What thickness is the steel you are working with? Also, I assume you can buy harden steel blanks but 1.) do you have to do any further heat treating once you grind everything out 2.) Does the harden steel make it more difficult to grind/file?
Hello man!nice video!May I ask you something? In 7.41' you put the blade in a green bottle with a liquid. Can you tell what is this and what you are doing with it?Thank you!
Amazing knife! I’m getting into making my first one! What’s that tool called that holds the knife upside down at an angle so you can get the blade ground correctly? Thanks
я с этими перьевыми сверлами намучался, ломаются моментально. Покупаю бош либо гросс, синие, только упаковка разная, а сверла видать на одном заводе делаются. если скалываются, то можно тут же на убитой ленте подправить.
yes, Ferric Chloride is the most common steel etchant. you can get it on Amazon.com in all different amounts. but do your research on it first. its a dangerous chemical still.
Incredible! I really enjoyed seeing your tools that you accessorized with wood projects. Very ingenious. Keep it up!
Personally Koss one of the best RUclipsr for me!
I would proudly add that knife to my collection. Good job brother.
Really love the way you darken the blade
Very nice Brother! You have less than most but you do the most with what you have. I like and respect that. Keep it up. Thanks for the great videos.

You design some really great knives. Love the style. Thumbs up!
Beautiful work!
great work, I like especial the elegant narrow handle
Nice job! I was skeptical of weather the pre hardened blade would get too hot, but seems like you kept it cool enough.
Wow beautiful knife. Great job.
Super beautiful. Great job ✨
Very nice i love your knives ! And videos 👍
Nice design. I like your knife, very cool.
Hi Lisa! A great knife indeed! I have a question - if this is an already hardened steel, wouldn't the cutting mess the tempering of the blade?
Cool knife!

I appreciate the use of the hacksaw.
Great job 👍
Very nice work.
What thickness is the steel you are working with? Also, I assume you can buy harden steel blanks but 1.) do you have to do any further heat treating once you grind everything out 2.) Does the harden steel make it more difficult to grind/file?

how long do you dip the blade in the acid at 7:39 to get that matte finish, do you just do it by eye or is there a certain amount of time needed?

What angle did you grind the knife for the i think primary bevel or primary edge the cutting edge

Hi, Koss. Can you recall the dimensions of the template you printed, please? Mine feels smaller, when I printed it out on A4. Or just illusion, maybe.

I enjoyed watching you making blade. what music for your soundtrack? Because it went great with your video.

hey Koss what's the thickness of steel
Bravo ottimo coltello.
Hermoso cuchillo
Hello. Why you didn't use band saw for cutting steel blank? As for me it's much more convenient.
Love it
Ты реальный мастер!!!!!!!!
How did you collored the blade ? never saw this befor :)
Where did you learn how to do this
Where was the hardening and tempering
Yea as a blacksmith I cringe with off stock grinding but he either didn’t do or film the most crucial and essential part
Where did you get the blank from?
beauty!
what are you soaking the blade in to give it that look?
ferric chloride
Do you have a video on how you made your jig to do all the grinding on the blade
I'll make the new bevel jig soon, and share that video
Ciao, in cosa consiste il processo per brunire il coltello?
What kind of wood did you use
it was padauk
Koss that is a great job, congratulations, please tell me what liquid did you used to darken the knife.
Its most likely ferric chloride
Where did you get the music?
very nice knife good Jób

ruclips.net/video/w7qAjLyEyJMI/видео.htmlf you haven't already found it yet, this is his video on how to make it.

How would you make it so the ferric chloride etch is not sanded off when shaping the handle
Shane Bresnahan tape up the blade so it's protected from being sanded
Hello man!nice video!May I ask you something? In 7.41' you put the blade in a green bottle with a liquid. Can you tell what is this and what you are doing with it?Thank you!
That's feric-chloride. It gives the steel a darker colour.
nice looking knife. what oil did you use to finish the handle?
tung oil
No heat treat or temper?
its prehardened.
How do you get that matte finish?
Milo Man 7:46
I love the design of this knife do you have a template you could send me?
Nice
Amazing knife! I’m getting into making my first one! What’s that tool called that holds the knife upside down at an angle so you can get the blade ground correctly? Thanks
I'm not sure but I'd sure like to know too
It looks like he just made a home made rig using a hinge and block of wood
Good job!
Two questions: at the minute 7,40 in what have you dipped the blade?
What wood did you use for the handle?
thanks
it's ferric chloride, and scales are made from padauk
Thanks bro, quick and kind.
is it possible to buy this?
What is called this liquid *7:42*
How do you get that matte finish
Milo Man acid etching.most likely ferric chloride.
amazing knife, beautiful combination of etched steel and padouk... 😉 do you sell your knifes or it's just for entertainment?

Как и где можно скачать эскиз от этого ножа?
Hi sir wat kind of steel u use in that knife
D2
what do you have inside of the bottle in 7:41 ?
Ferric Chloride
What acid is that?
normal is ferric chloride
What's the thickness?
я с этими перьевыми сверлами намучался, ломаются моментально. Покупаю бош либо гросс, синие, только упаковка разная, а сверла видать на одном заводе делаются. если скалываются, то можно тут же на убитой ленте подправить.
Faltó el tratamiento termico. Igual, hermoso cuchillo
I think that scales are not padauk wood. The padauk wood is more reddish.
произведение искусства.
What liquid do you use at 7.44 mn ? Thanks :)
hugo fieve ferric chloride
what about heat treatment
It's pre-heat treated... that's why when he was cutting it out we didn't see and temper colours from the heat of grinding
krasna praca...cim sa mori cepel noza?
Chlorid železitý
What is the fluid you use at 3:37 minutes?
It's a diamond paste
thanks. Beautiful blades.
Do you sell these beautiful knifes?
and the hardened?
the steel blank was hardened before grinding
Koss doesn't all that grinding ruin the heat treat?
If you're careful not to overheat the steel during the grinding and sanding process the hardening should not be affected.
this is nice knife great job and how long you dipp the knife in acid
about 2 min
So that was ferric chloride? what kind of acid did you use?? :)
yes, Ferric Chloride is the most common steel etchant. you can get it on Amazon.com in all different amounts. but do your research on it first. its a dangerous chemical still.
