I’m looking forward to using it… I just got one as a gift. My old 8 model is lost somewhere in my house… so I was given the 10 for Christmas..
So far I'm very impressed. I liked the price of the 9 coming on at 183.00 roll back Walmart. Of course they didn't have it available. So I jumped to 250.00 for the 10. I can't complain, I'm sure somewhere along this choice I did get a better camera.
I just don't know cause I'm so new to this. I'm all in though, my year plan is to be a full time RUclipsr. Idk... we'll see lol.

Even with your negative catches, I’m going with the GoPro 10. The selling point was the 10 being on sale saving me about $150. on the camera.
For the audio, i'm not using shotgun mic on my Gopro Hero 10 because it's kinda huge since gopro is a compact and small. If u use mirrorless camera, it's fine. I use wireless mic from Synco G2. It's small and more lite to use compare to shotgun mic and audio is bettter than built in mic or mic on the media mod. If got extra money, can go for Rode.

I’m still rocking the hero 8. I’m filming a sunset time lapse with it right now. Biggest reason I’m hesitant to upgrade is because I already have 8 batteries for the hero 8. I film for hours when I go out and I don’t really want to reinvest in batteries again for the newest model. Plus I’d also need to upgrade my computer to actually be able to do anything with the footage in post.
SAME!!!! However, there's supposed to be an adapter so you can use your 8 batteries in the 10.....
Damn 8 batteries. I use only 3 and it works for me in one whole day. But I'm still not gonna upgrade either. I have the hero 7. Go pro needs to make a big change in order for me to buy a new one or maybe if something happens to my hero 7. but I take good care of it anyways.
Try transcoding your GoPro footage to an intermediate codec then your NLE should (?) process it smoothly
Hero 10 is fast to overheat
I have the 8 too but I'm curious about having a front screen. I also have the media mod and it would be a waste
GoPro is crazy. I started my video creator journey with the GoPro 3+ and it was amazing. But this camera, wow, they did a great job over the past years with upgrading. Currently I'm still using the 7 and I'm total happy about it. Great Video ^^ Btw not me here in Austria watching this Video in 480p, bc my internet is trash, while he talks about 5,2k :)
I literally sold my 3+ and 4 to buy the new 10 haha they've been great cameras
my first GoPro was the 3+ black edition. I didn't get into it because the battery life sucks! How is the battery life of the GoPro 10?
I feel like the Hero 8 has decent mics. Sometimes you need a foam housing to block wind.
Not mentioned GoPro 9 vs 10. The 10 has way shorter battery life. Even with new firmware. The GoPro 10 also overheats fairly easy when using high performance setting. I was disappointed the first time I used the GoPro 10 in 5.3K 60FPS. After an initial 5 minute clip with wouldn't last more than a couple minutes before shutting off.

Great video, new to Gopro so really needed this, but the adapter you showed and the one for the link are completely different. if possible could i maybe have a link to the one you showed? it looked like it would work better, also a link to the shotgun microphone that's compatible.
Appreciate this overview. I’m looking to buy one of these to capture motorcycle rides and off-road 4WD adventures. He mentioned not buying to make RUclips videos. Does it not work well for RUclips videos? I’d like to do some posting every now and then. Totally new at these gizmos.
I use the Osmo Pocket for almost all my videos now. Though it's not as hardy as the Go Pro, I really don't need the action part, just like the portability and it's so much better than a phone. Would love if you'd do a video on it!

@Think Media, I need a small portable camera that is capable of getting great video shots, & decent audio. Said camera needs to be able to film for hours on end, NON STOP! What do you recommend? I've tried GoPro Hero7 black, GoPro Session, & GoPro 10, & ALL overheat & shutdown! Any suggestions?

Google finds all kinds of adapters to mount the GoPro on a standard tripod, but none like showed (at 8:36). Where did you get it ? Good video by the way,,,,

Got it for $350 w/ one year sub during black Friday deal. Pretty good that I got it now going from no cam. Also just in time for the new batteries so luckily I don't have a ton of older ones to replace.

good video, I'm actually going to buy this for a dash cam for my car. Every video i watch on dash cams they all have horrible quality if it's not for daytime then it's bad for nighttime and vice versa. Its probably over kill but worth the money it seems with great video quality.
Is it worth buying the hero 10 bundle right now for streaming outdoors and indoors?

I am very new to this. I will be using possibly as a alternate room view for live music streaming on Twitch and/or RUclips. Motocycle riding, 4 wheel driving in the woods, I want to put on my America Fox hound when she runs, mounting on airplane or on my head while flying...not sure any under water stuff, but it rains a lot in Oregon. I would like to use it for 360 but not sure that is possible. Is there a cheaper good quality alternative option?
Question: I am reading everywhere that you need to use the Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter for an external mic, yet when I plugged my Rode Videomicro right into the camera, it seems to work just fine. Am I missing something?

Great video and I’m new to GoPro … I hear what you’re saying about image quality vs 9 not that much better and you’re paying $100 just more pixels and frame rate but doesn’t the faster processor also make a difference? I’m still thinking 10 is a better deal
The processor makes a huge difference, in day to day use you’ll really notice it when using the touch screen. Previous models had such a large lag and weren’t responsive
It's better to buy the newest one when you don't own a GoPro at all. but for those who do own one but have a hard time deciding to upgrade due to how the one they own already does what they need it for. I have the 7 and the 10 still didn't convince me to upgrade.

Nice review you must be the only one that don't have any problems , i bought the 10 my first gopro you can not use for pro use as it has too many problems such as freezing up , not changing properly , memory card errors , ive had exchanged where i got from , the second one was the same faults , had updates still the same , now ive sent to gopo they said they are sending a working one , i doubt it ,when you pay all that money it should be fully working from day one

I've been contemplating the gopro 9 or 10, or the DJI osmo action..Have you had any issues with your gopro freezing up? Most people's complaints are that they're buggy.. Especially the 9.. I've seen an overwhelming amount of comments and reviews saying the newer gopros are unreliable because of freezing and glitching.. I've also read that the 10s are overheating easily because of the new processor...Because of this, I've been leaning more toward the osmo action. I'm looking for an action camera to take with me to music festivals and also to stream my DJ sets online with. I've found that gopros have the best features and quality, but I'll need my gopro to be very reliable too. I'd be very upset to spend close to 400$ on one to discover my gopro overheated or froze up while trying to record. Thanks.
Yeah, I’ve been hearing that too. Unfortunately the GoPros are designed to take short videos and anything more than 20 minutes overheats them too much. But another thing (I’m an adventure guide and take people kloofing/canyoneering through waterfalls and pools down gorges.) and EVERY SINGLE trip, all the the guys who had GoPro 9’s had them randomly shut off, but the older go pros were fine. There’s no way they could have over heated because we are constantly in water and the videos taken are maybe 20 seconds long at most. So I don’t know, GoPro needs to pull their finger out their arse or DJI osmo will overtake them completely.
Well if you'd be upset don't buy a GoPro 10 because unless you're moving around outside it's going to over heat every single time.
My go pro 8 over heats then it turns itself on and off, it's not great
I own the 7 and this one still didn't convince me to upgrade maybe when the 15 comes out lol.
It's a shame they haven't figured out good audio yet, especially when the GoProMax actually has much better sound than any GoPro but it does have like 6 mics to sample
Now I just need a real fix for this damn pixelation issue once I upload my video to RUclips. (I edit on a MacBook Pro with iMovie). Any ideas?

Doesn’t the GoPro 9 have horrible reviews for software and battery life? I believe the 10 uses the same battery too so wouldn’t that apply to the 10 as well

My 8 just leaked when I jumped in the river. So much for it being waterproof. Be sure to use the casing if you go in water. :(

*Stick with Hero8. Both the 9 (which I have) and 10 tend to overheat if shooting at 5K otherwise, if you don't have a Dedicated GPU then the point of shooting in 5K makes no sense as the Hero 8 does 4K at i think 30fps which is STILL good.*

Can't stick with the Hero8 if you want 240 fps. Personally for me I don't need to shoot at 5k, 4k is enough.
I hear y’all talking about overheating, but I just bought the Hero 10 Black at BestBuy before going to Zion and attached it to the hood of the car for 28 minutes at 4k60 and no issues! Maybe it’s been resolved with update? Idk but so far no problems for me.
I think people are mostly talking about the 5k/all the unnecessary res settings. I ran it all day today in 4k 60/120 with no overheating.
If the car was moving it has plenty of airflow to keep cool

I'm returning my hero 10. 4K 60 FPS shoots for only 15 minutes before overheating. That's in 40 mph full wind. Nobody mentions these cameras break your footage up into little 5-minute segments either... Nobody ever mentions the fact that the GoPro will turn itself on and off all night long randomly with wireless connections turned off. It's a problem. It has memory card problems also. It's a garbage device.
I was mad as hell when I first bought my GOPRO 9 and discovered that the clips get broken up but I've learned to deal with it. My hero 9 broke so now I have the 10 but you're right it's even worst than the 9.
Isn't the breaking down of clips a consequence of using HC memory cards instead of XC?
Please have a video on DJI Osmo Action. It's cheaper, and easily competes with GoPro.
The Go Pro 10 will be out dated when the Hero 11 is released just wondering what kind of features the 11 will have.

I bought a Hero10 because my hero7 is buggy, glitches and sometimes requires a battery removal to respond to the buttons.
The Hero10 does the same things, but it also consumes battery power MUCH faster and has a little more capability.
The only thing I really gained is the front screen, better stability and I’m $400 lighter.

Does yours actually stop recording when over heating? I’ve seen tests where it will only stop recording in very high temps with 0 air flow!

Hi. I have 1 easy question. Everytime I take the battery out of GoPro and then put it back the GoPro still needs to set up time and date. It is very annoying setting it up if I take the battery out.

Hi! They released an update in July. You should visit their site or the app to update your camera. You can try a factory reset as well. All the best!
How come on my go pro hero 10 when I record in ultra slow motion when I play it back on the camera it plays in normal speed.

I bought one and it drains the hell out of the battery especially at 5.3K recording. Get a off brand charger that comes with 2 extra batteries.

The Gopro hero 10 crashed and corrupts the SD CARDS and I lost 50 gigs. I formatted them and used two different cards and it corrupted both of em. BEWARE
