      I feel like I’m watching quiet confidence: a steady, though creative, thoughtful fellow in Bill Wilson. Humility does not necessarily play well (um, ‘fit’ well?) with that list of characteristics.

    I've spent my life with a 1911 X .045 ! However as a Mayor of a city I recommended adopting Glocks for our Police Department. At that time they were married to their S&W/Colt revolvers. The presented the Glocks for two weeks. Then after the range and their realization that they had more than doubled their firepower they no longer grumbled! The Glocks worked as they are light, simple, accurate and relatively inexpensive! Now folks like Wilson Combat are making Glock pistols reallly beautiful and highly engineered and prized handguns!

    • @williamgates5652

      They work. I'll always prefer a model 66 or a 1911 to shoot at the range. But when it matters, I want a Glock.

    Glock perfection.....now let’s customize the hell outta of it. 😂

    • @baker90338
      @baker90338 3 года назад +3

      The "glock perfection" is being able to get a modern holster cheaply for a gun made on 1989. it's the aftermarket that is GIANT.

    • @seppshlllearningcenter419
      @seppshlllearningcenter419 3 года назад +3

      It's such perfection that my brand new issued gen 5 glock 17 had a chipped front sight within a month, and my rear sight started walking out within 6 months just from average duty use.
      The gun was free to me, but having to spend $120 or so on a brand new gun seems a little less like perfection to me when the competition...Walthers, H&K, hell, even the M&P, come with way better sights. I qualified the same with the gen 5 über elite marksman barrel as the old worn out gen 3 I got as a rookie. Idk.

My father was and old ww2 mp carried 1911 for years and that was the gun he introduced to us to learn to shoot. Which to this day I shoot very well , but glock is lighter and more compact , more rounds. K

      I bought a match grade .357sig KKM barrel in 2020 for my M&Ps 4.25". I had a 33 Glock too but rarely shot it. I would say the .357SIG is not over rated but it's not a real benefit to most users. The recoil, muzzle flash, 💥 is a tad much 😬. My cousin has a .357sig model P320 full size. Hes very satisfied with the .357 round but also has a .40S&W P320 barrel. I'm ok with 9mm +P or .40S&W.

    I definitely appreciate the way to look at Glock. I have a buddy that's the same way- doesn't really like 'em but has five or six. They're relatively cheap and parts are cheap, so you can keep one running easily. And if it gets dinged up who cares? It's only a Glock! I'm more of an HK guy myself and don't own a Glock although I have in the past. But if all I had was a Glock 19 I'd get by.

    After years of sub par 1911's , I finally got a Wilson Combat ; loved it, it was a flawless performer, got married, a bunch of tricycle motors ; sold my Wilson Combat, sad day! Well years later, the boss( my wife), said why dont you order that WC, you always wanted! Yahoo! Ultra Light Commander, ( in .45 Bill!), flawless performer , light, awesome! I had to go through customer service, and Tessa was so nasty to me , for no reason, several times,I decided not to buy at Wilson Combat any more! After a Recon Rifle, and ULC , I went to Nighthawk, she disrespected me that much I said "never again," I asked questions yes,.but was always polite before I spent about 8-9k, so I ordered a 3.8" carry plus from night hawk, but I do love your guns Bill, and I was so upset; which is rare for me, I couldnt go past Tessa, to someone over her? who I hear is gone now?Love your videos love your guns, moved over to Nighthawk, I treat my customers like gold, when I'm the customer I'm gonna eat crow! Hey Guys, I’ve been a 1911 guy my whole life, but as you guys say, it’s a Glock world. So I use both. Off body in my EDC go bag it’s a Glock 21, when I go running in my load out vest it’s a Glock 30. When I’m not wearing shorts here in Florida and have on jeans or BDUs I carry a 1911 commander .45 ACP. I’m looking for a trigger replacement does Vickers manufactures a trigger for Glock 21s and 30s ?
    What stuff does Wilson have for Glock 21 and 30 ?
    On the range doing testing as improve as 9mm projectiles are the .45 projectiles are also improved. The Glocks are +P rated and even not using +P, testing the .45 ACP and 9mm against steel pepper poppers the you still need to do a double tap to knock them down where as one shot with a .45 ACP will not just knock them down but slam them to the ground.
    I like the fire power of the Glock. In an active shooter situation with multiple shooter or a shooter with a semiautomatic rifle not having to do a speed reload after 8 rounds is critical. But my accuracy is significantly better with the 1911. It’s my favorite handgun.
    Thanks for the presentation you do !!!!!

    . I am going to get a lone Wolf distributors 9 mm conversion barrel for it. I already bought two of the Magpul 27 round 9 mm magazines.
    I know people love to hate on the 40 caliber these days but with good quality 160 grain self defense ammo it has some really nice ballistics.
    I also have a lot of ammunition for it so that's a plus. I didn't know Wilson did anything with Glocks.
    I'm also in the process of building a full size 1911 and I plan to put some Wilson parts in it. Definitely getting Wilson magazines for it. I like a lot of different guns.

    I have 5 Glocks in different calibers and different generations and I am able to shot them fairly well.
    One way Glock could archive perfection is to stopping putting those shitty finger groves on the grip. Some texturing on the panels so that we don’t have to be stippling them with a hot iron also would be nice. A better, more precise trigger wouldn’t be a hard feat to do either. And just how cheap are those sights as issued? They should start listening to the consumer.

    In almost every Glock video/article made by those in the industry, there's always the "Glock apology." At just 56 seconds in, Ken does it. "Whether we like Glocks or not...". Why is this always done? You don't apologize for other polymer guns. I am thankful for Glock. They forced the rest of the industry to respond with better handguns, when it used to just be a 1911 and revolver world. They keep our police and spec ops soldiers safe. Why keep apologizing? After 30 years in the field, this platform has been thoroughly vetted and accepted.

      grantorino2009 because they’re not fun to shoot. They have one purpose: to be ready to go when you need it. They won’t let you down, they need very little maintenance, but they’re just so boring to shoot. Horrible trigger and ok sights from factory, etc. They need a lot of customizing in order to make it a fun gun to take out.
      When I go to the range the Glock is literally the last thing I wanna take.

      Glocks are not very user friendly for everyone. Glocks are not a one size fits all, most complain about the grip being " square" and bulky for a lot of people and ugly as a biker chick. If Glocks were so outstanding why are all the other pistol makers still in business. Glocks are ok, not stellar nor are they a majical do all pistol and lets be honest some people just flat don't like them as much as it may pain the Glock cult.

      Cause they need so many upgrades after you buy them to complete it. Like buying a build "build it yourself" kit. Just get a CZ, Beretta, Smith &Wesson or Springfield XDM 5.25" and have better sights, grip, and trigger.

    There's nothing wrong with factory Glock sights other than being plastic. For a nominal fee, the factory will swap you some steelies or night sights. The ball in a basket sight picture is extremely fast, moreso than 3-dot, and certainly more visible than a Gold bead.

  • @51Dss
    @51Dss 4 года назад

    I gave this vid a thumbs up but it would've been very nice if you had shown the stippling pattern and the front sight up close.
    The only reason I can think of to carry a glock for protection over the Wilson Combat 1911/2011 is relative value/cost of the guns.
    If God forbid you should have to pull your personal firearm and shoot somebody just know that the police will take possession of your gun (as evidence) and you may or may not get it back - if you do get it back it will be a very long time before that happens as the wheels of the justice system move very slowly.
    So, carry the Glock - you can afford to lose it (both financially and emotionally) compared to losing your Wilson Combat pistol - even temporarily. Just my 2 cents.

We own two Honda Civics and two glocks don't see myself paying three grand for one gun I will stick to the Honda Civic of guns and stick with stock Glocks Maybe a 1911 in the $600 range from Rock Island or another a used one from a different manufacturer and go from there. I love America though and the free market system there is something for everyone
