My roommate's brother is in the one in the wheelchair. He has muscular dystrophy, but, as you all heard, also has an amazing voice.
Hannah Simon
Yes! Yes he does. His voice is amazing! Let him know the world thinks he is an inspiration and is incredibly talented.
Let him know that he did a great job!
He sung beautifully
He has a great voice. Hopefully seeing him on this video will show people that yes, we as disabled people can sing amazingly too and that we are not just a wheelchair or crutches, we are humans too and have emotions and talent.
Give him all the props man, he was fantastic
The world is a better place with Alex Boyé in it

✊✊✊ Alex!
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Did anyone follow the male students journey? At the beginning he arrives. A long way from home. In the course of the song he gets to school, attends school. Then at school they do all those practical experiments. Then theres the scene where the books are so overwhelming for him. Then when the kids are singing Alex Boye hands him the directors'rod so he's the one conducting the choir. Showing he is getting good...and in the last scene he has his graduation gown on. Wow. A million dreams is all its gonna take
I agree
I didnt see that, thank you
I picked up that Alex was teaching him from the Tree of Life.
Wow I missed that and I’ve watch this video so many times!
@@nadjahlover he was passing the baton so to speak- teaching him and being a mentor so he could excel and take his place eventually. Lovely video..
I don't understand why Alex Boye hasn't got any recognition. Every video they make is just too beautiful and epic.
Because the powers that control the music industry would not allow a God driven man to succeed in todays music world. Sad but true. But it is changing... NOTHING CAN STOP WHAT IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!! A million dreams.... are changing the world now.... Nothing can stop us!!!
Because we are different.
Gods time is the best....at his appropriate time no one shall stop him from shinning
It's coming
it's because while there are a few songs here and there, a lot of them are confusing. And some of his songs did get promoted, like with Disney and it's on youtube - but it didn't go anywhere - so it probably boils down to him. If you really want him to be big, you gotta put in the work for it to be promoted. I just don't see it going far. For me, the africanized stuff isn't africanized enough - and it's confusing why it's africanized in the first place - like alex boye said himself. If he pushes past that, he can achieve superstardom.
I don't think that I've seen something this positive in a very long time. Seriously, there was not an ounce of negativity. That's very rare.
The lead singer's videos are all like this. Look him up.

"The Greatest Showman" Cast is definitely proud of this cover. Dreams crossed all the Globle.
Dj Hugo B. Really?the globle that’s a milestone lol
i expected this to be a satire and was just blown away, like wow
This guy could go a long way to unifying a vast majority of people. He is incredibly talented and obviously VERY proud of his heritage and he celebrates it while being so inclusive to such a large variety of people without excluding or vilifying anyone. All I can see from this guy is one love!
To quote from "The Greatest Showman" ; this video is a Celebration of Humanity!
As an Igbo student that left his home for Europe and to hear him say "mama mu no na St George"
, I felt it....
A million dreams is all it's gonna to take
Kedu my brother
Wish you all the best.
Dreams do live....
i felt so happy when i heard igbo language
A MILLION PRAISES FROM US
A Million replays too ; )
U ARE EVERYWHERE
2.6 million now!
Showing what our African culture is about no matter what race. Whether your Nigerian, South African or Zimbabwean. Amazing work.
Or Algerian proud to be African
Or Mozambican... proud of being African...
Or Cameroonian proud to be African
Or Ghanaian, I hate Africa
Or Tanzanian.... Proud of being African
Alex has vision, passion, and masterful showmanship. He should be a juggernaut. This piece is even more powerful now than it was when it was released. In a world that seems to jeep spiraling downward, the positivity and passion of this message is all the more needed. Alex…thank you. The world is too addicted to anger and outrage to accept your messages, but you are a beacon in darkness. Bless you.
Yes those are teardrops on my face no I’m not sad I’m proud of being here with wonderful people, but I am sad for those who are angry, lost, hurt, sad, and forgotten. I pray for everyone to find happiness and peace
Just show them what true happiness looks like. Build it and they will come.
@@psivast8007 yes but remember, timing is everything. Frequently it doesn't have to be perfect, if it's close enough but, perfectly timed.
@@sideswipe147 I agree, but we often times don't know when that time will be, so being persistent and consistent will hopefully lead us to that time when success will happen. Otherwise if you only try when you think it's the right time, you may miss it. I hope I am not coming across as contentious, I like your comment.
@@psivast8007 true. And I could see how you might think my comment contentious or even pretentious. However, there are people who know EXACTLY when which part or parts must be played. I am one such as that. That I did not clarify that with my inital comment was not a failing. It was calculated. There are enough people who already think I am insane as it is. So, you'll please forgive me for trying to keep my head a bit under the radar while I leave a much needed trail of oft needfully vague breadcrumbs to follow.
No harm no foul. It's good to see people are paying attention. And your reply was sound and true, considdering the information to which you are privy. Soon though you will be afforded the opportunity to understand so much more.
@@sideswipe147 I am sorry people think your insane.
I really like Africans singing they have this distinctive voice 😆
The young man in the wheelchair - exceptional voice. Everyone was good, too.
James Adams agreed I like him too
James Adams no hes not lol u just feel bad for him so u feel the need to compliment him
Wdym, he's not bad يسوع عبد
Not at all! But you are definitely have every right to think that about me.
Disabled people arent here to be your inspo porn.
Humanity is one family. We are all related. Beautiful performance.
Imagine how sad it would feel to be a racist. This is such a great song, young, old and everyone in between.
Only separated by culture. Beyond that, race does not exist.
I lost it at the damn kids. The world is changing for the better
EmLee Gee yes!!!! The kids is where I cried too!
Me too 😭
The MUSIC was very inspiring, which I suspect was your greatest motivation. One question - - What is the intent of putting the word "AFRICAN" in quotation marks? I get that fact that the song is a parody/rethinking of the movie theme song to "The Greatest Showman", but the quotation marks gives a connotation/implicatiion that something is "not quite right". Just curious - - Just sayin'....
I don't know why you replied to my comment with this but it's because it's in the middle of the original title "The Greatest Showman" That's what is technically not right, is African has been added into the original title.
EmLee Gee lies
This is truly one of my favorite covers of this song.
"They can say, they can say I've lost my mind"
I mean, you do have a sword in a dude's mouth.
throat
Don't kink shame!
This is the best cover I've ever seen of this song. LOVE IT!!!
WOW, that’s one amazing video. I love the message. I’m 56 years old and I’m going to school, I have about two more years, They have been days that I have wanted to quit, but your has helped me realize why I’m following my dream.
Hey Jill,
I just saw your comment and just wanted to take the time to appreciate your dedication. I think that it is amazing that you are still willing to work so hard towards your dream. I am still young, only 16, and the future scares me sometimes. Sometimes, I just don't know where I'm going because I'm afraid that if I go after my dream it will be crushed. But you are an inspiration to many, definitely to me. So thank you. I just want to make sure you know that you are an amazing person and should be proud of what you are doing. On the hard days, take it one breath at a time and don't get overwhelmed.
All the best for your days ahead of dream catching.
Jill Christiansen you have my respect.
Jill Christiansen i am inspired by your determination.Keep it up...there is no limit.
This is amazing you're so inspirational , continue your dream you deserve it ... I'm really proud that there's still some people with unstoppable ambition like you ... keep going
I was having goosebumps the entire time! I dunno if it’s just the electric fan hitting my skin, but dayum this is an awe-inspiring rendition of “A Million Dreams”.
This is one if the greatest covers, if not the greatest cover I’ve ever seen and heard!
Zeus Flores, Amen. 😊
Zeus Flores
Same, it’s my favorite cover.
Zeus Flores well said. 😭
Agreed
Zeus Flores
So true!!! It was so amazing and beautiful! I’m just listening to it over and over again! I can’t get enough.
I love the diversity. It is so beautiful to see. Imagine if we just worked together, truly worked together.
I really come to this video whenever I think I made the wrong decision. Here is for you, myself, if you come here to motivated yourself here :
Hey, I know you're so sure about your desicion about your life, or about the path you take. I know you're thinking about it, a lot. So, keep dreaming, keep believing, keep trying.
It's okay if the path that you choose is wrong, then just keep trying your best and make it right. You can do it, you can make it. Your dreams will come true.
So inspiring Alex!! Did justice to the original while still making it your own. Awesome job!
Suport my new video here 🤗🤗🤗 ruclips.net/video/LN7HtGzl2iE/видео.html
AVery well diverse video it shows how great we are as a people. If we just come together very unified.
100% AGREE!
Generally yes except the large chorus of young children. That is not at all diverse, from the brief views. This is around 4:00 and slowing down the video and taking a look didn't change my perception.
Wayne Burnett true true but there is still diversity within the video. No doubt.
I think the diversity that the choir adds is that they are children compared more (young) adult artists before that. So diversity in age. I agree that if you are talking about diversity in race in that choir there is very little.
What I have noticed with choirs it really depends on where the choir is situated. Knowing that Alex Boye lives in Utah and the video being sponsored by Dixie State from Utah, that choir is probably also from Utah. Utah consists of about 85% whites... then it makes sense the choir is mostly white children.
Diederik Linders I'm talking about age diversity. No need to get technical.
The kids singing gives me HUGE feels
Alex's Showmanship is unbeatable his voice Unstoppable I hope he has a long career and he really makes you think with some of the songs that he chooses
This guy is a fantastic singer, and I love how much emotion he puts into his singing 😁 normally I'm not a person who is so enthusiastic about music and singing. This guy makes me enthusiastic about it😁
Alex i don't know why u weren't original on AGT years back. This is your music and i love it. The pop with African rich harmonies and voices. Love from Nigeria
Because back then he had not yet REALIZED what he needed to learn to BE his genuine self. But now he is a force with which to be rekoned. AND he knows it.
This video is stunning. It's one of those I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for the brainstorming session .
"we're going to have a hot air balloon, and a choir of little girls, AND SCIENCE!"
This deserves more than A Million Views
This cover deserves an award❤️ Truly beautiful.
What a song from Alex boye better version only heard for the first time ❤❤❤
That original piece at 3:03, is actually the part I remember most when hearing this rendition. It's so beautiful lyrics wise and theme wise for the song. Kudos.
As someone that has spent some time in the hospital throughout my life, the part with the doctors really meant so much to me. This is such a great video showing that every person has the capability to do something great in this world if they believe they can. I love it!
Anyone else want to go back to college just so they can go here? Cuz hard same. This was beautiful.
I go there. I absolutely love my University. Not only that I know some of the soloists. Great people!
I'm Japanese people.
But I like this song.
This song changed my life.
Thank you!
I'm from South Africa and this all made my heart sing!
This. Hit. My. Soul. I love seeing songs done with different cultures but this? This is golden
Happy, happy, happy......I've watched this video so often and it gives me goose bumps every time. Just love Alex Boye. What a talent he has.
A beautifully and well orchestrated work of art. Man I love this song it truly is a work of art it is beautiful. 👏👏👏👏👏
Yssach petty you're right
+Ccdaphn3 Jessyca 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I just broke down listening to this song. Some of it may come from my deep emotional connection to The Lion King and music with an African feel because of that. I think the main thing though is just how heartbroken the message being told to young black children is today. How angry and destructive they are being channeled by organizations like black lives matter and antifa. It breaks my heart to think this next generation will find messages like this song less and less. This video shows so much togetherness and working together and inclusivity and true diversity! They are all optimistic singing about making a world that is different and better! All I hear and see is hatred, division, destruction, and rage nowadays. Jesus, please have your hand on this nation and world in these dark times. Thank you Alex Boye and all these people involved for spreading some light!
dear Alex Boye...when i chanced your audition years ago in a Got Talent search... it was a big AWE..! now i was so inspired again by this MV with students. What a beautiful soul you are giving your 200% kind of music for the world.....
Ahh I lost it when the young man in a wheelchair sang. BEAUTIFUL.
I agree!
This shows that it doesn’t matter who you are because when all our different races and ages are forgotten and we work together it is truly something beautiful 😁
The soloist at 3:28 and the little girl in the choir at 4:02 (the one in the light blue dress) are my singing teachers daughters!!
Same! Lisa?
are they have utub channel ?
Not really, Lisa has a channel that has some of Ellie Felice’s Live performances though. :)
The channel is called Lisa Seegmiller
That note at 3:12 tho
They're both so talented! I wish them the best!
This didnt just bring tears to my eyes, it left me sobbing ❤
Somethign about the Nigerian accent that just ALWAYS sounds good in music. It adds this power and attack to the words that just gives it emotion that you won't find anywhere else.
I think this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE version. It brings tears of happiness to my eyes!
Yes, I love how original it sounds.
I personally prefer the original by a long shot
Oh yeah definitely
My favorite is P!nk's version!
Cassie Dodgen amen!
The boy in the wheelchair was great. Just like everyone one else! This was amazing! A million dreams is also my favorite song!
I love this rendition. So inspiring to have the students sing this song with you. And the kids. Absolutely beautiful.
HE PLAYED THIS AT MY SCHOOL AND MY LIFE HAS FOREVER CHANGED SINCE I LOVE ALEX BOYÉ AND WHAT HES DONE!!!!
A beautiful world filled with God's love, humanity, peace and mercy. ✝️
OH MY GOSH!!!! You have no idea how much I love this! The diversity, the message, EVERYTHING! It is absolutely AMAZING! I have chills and start crying every time I listen to it. I love how you can feel the emotions and how it just grabs your heart. You always do a fantastic job Mr. Alex! Thank you for what you do. I pray that God will continue to bless you and you can keep reaching everyone with your awesome creativity and emotion! :D This is absolutely the BEST! The best cover ever!
The most beautiful music I ever heard👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Daunnet Films - Anjas Maradita Indeed
It was so fun working with Alex and Dixie on this song!!
You have a lot of talent Ricky! Keep making more amazing music like this!👍
You are awesome Ricky! Love your arrangements! This is our favorite song from the greatest showman!
I was the director assistant for this music video project of Alex (also a guest actor for few seconds in the video).
Have been a fan of him for years, never knew that one day I could actually meet him!
It was crazy fun working with him and the crew, can say that that was the best memory in my life so far. From Viet Nam with love Alex!
I got to watch this in my school assembly because the girl in the yellow dress with the solo was in 4th grade from my school. It’s still so cool to think about it even coming back a year later.
humanity is a wonderful thing! God never makes a mistake, all are wonderfully and fearfully created. Everyone matters
Lovingly created. There is no fear in God. That's a human problem. ❤😊
Ok... Ok... Fine... I'm crying. There. I admitted it.
Its been my dream to fly beyond my boundaries. And I just got the opportunity. A million dreams its all its gonna take.
Watch it again
From Nigeria and Igbo too! Love the diversity in this one. Great cover too!
QristalQuin ! They really spoke igbo
This is exactly the type of video that continues to give me hope for the human race. Well done visually, vocally, artistically, and most importantly it's a tribute to the human spirit and what it can accomplish despite different interests or cultures. Absolutely incredible!
Alex Boye great song
You never disappoint! This was beautiful!
Man if a group performed a rendition of this song on America's got talent. I'd probably cry. Beautiful
Oh I got chills
Vikky Beer, ditto.
Alex, this is so fantastic, you are amazing. God bless you.
Every time I see this I don't think or see anything of racism, i see love and joy from all people and it makes my heart warm to see this.
I love it!! Great job! You included so many people. :)
The Tiny Violinist sooo many white people...
Hey, it's not necessary to say that. This is a great video and it's diverse.
I agree! :)
When did it become a sin to be "white"? Whatever that actually means.
+Jonatha Teixeira if you take into account that about 85% of Utah is white (where the producing university is located), then this is a VERY diverse video
This was ABSOLUTELY beautiful with your rendition of this amazing song. This shows diversity, this shows pride in our culture and who we are. And this shows that we are all Human Beings who should live harmoniously amongst ourselves!! ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS
You have always taken songs that are beautiful unique and gorgeous by showing that there's another way to do things that you accept everybody and allow everybody to help such beautiful work
This is my all time fav version of this song. Mr. Boye.... just pure WOW. It still blows my heart away... every time I hear it. XOXOXOXOOXOXOXO Best arrangement EVER.
I am in my final semester of my senior year of college now. I am finishing my K-8 education degree. In the fall, (hopefully after Covid-19 passes), I am set to complete my student teaching. This beautiful rendition brought tears to my eyes! This motivated me immensely to keep pushing. It gave me hope that, through education, we can make this world a better place by allowing students to learn the skills necessary to pursue their passions and their life choices. Beautiful, thank you!
I know this was mostly just a commercial. But damn if it wasnt so much better than the actual movie. Everything felt magical and alive and compelling and fit the words to the song.
This was how I pictured the movie and Im glad this exists. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
I honestly get so excited when I see your videos pop up in my notification! They are always so creative and absolutely stunning visuals. You don't get the recognition you deserve 👏💚👏
truth
This brought tears to my eyes
I'm here again at the end of 2023 and this song is still as amazing as it was when I first heard it 🥰🥰🥰
Hello im from Brasil and im very very encated yours music take my heart
Tank you so much. I love ÁFRICA HUG EVERYONE
Martin Luther King jr would be proud of this!
ALL PEOPLE WHO FOUGHT FOR UNITY AND PEACE WOULD BE PROUD!
What about Nelson Mandela?
SunFlowur absolutely!!! And every since person whom has died for equal rights!.
May he be proud of us all!
I immediately recognized the dude from the frozen one
Edit: THIS IS SO INCLUSIVE I LOVE IT
Beautiful. Props to Alex Boye for recognizing that the color of a person's skin is the least interesting thing about them. I love the fusion of this song with African cultural influences. 10/10
We all have dreams some let it die, no! don't ever let go of your little dream, make it big, don't let it sleep in your heart. Life is beautiful, life is full of colors, don't let your dreams die. Blessing to all of you.
Seriously love the rapping part!
Loved this - especially all the kids singing in it - really hits all the emotional sweet spots! Outstanding. If I were younger this would make me want to go to Dixie State University.
Dadvice TV - Kidney Health Coach never too late to go for another round of school :)
@@stephanieclimer4320 So true!
WOW! So many wonderful feelings. Alex makes me believe that there are Angels among us. This is how all of God's children should love each other. Thanks to all of you involved in this. God bless you for the joy you bring!
Alex - WELL DONE! Thank you for living your dream - it blesses everyone who sees you.
Just another....AMAZING, PROFOUND, GLORIOUS, TERRIFIC.....song by Alex Boye. We love you Alex. Watching for more.
What could possibly sound even more beautiful than the _Greatest Showman_ OST?
The _Greatest Showman_ OST *with Alex Boyé!*
This is absolutely amazing! It was such a great opportunity to be a part of the children’s choir, and go record in the studio. You are so talented, and this is so cool!
Amazing Beautiful Song!
Strong hug from Brazil!
Pêral Lima not bad
Brs em todo lugar msm kkkkkk
Lmao its kinda sad to see such a masterpiece with less than 10 mil views.
It's our hidden Gem...much like all true masterpieces.
Alex boye PLEASE we are one (lion king 2) your way. This world NEEDS this
Well, Alex Boye has gone and done it again! Along with all these other wonderful people! Fabulous, fabulous! Thank you one and all! Love, Sister Gay Michaelis ❤️👍
This is amazing. Your version of the song and the music video have given me the same feeling that the movie did: I smiled the second the music started and didn't stop even after the video ended. You've managed to send across the same message and feelings that were present in the movie - that sort of optimistic hope in our children and the idea that we can make our world a better place. I loved how many different elements you incorporated in this and that new verse added in just changed it up and made it even better! Great job and I hope this gets the love and attention it deserves!
"A Million Dreams" is the most magical song to come out in a long time. 21st Century music seems to have largely lost that magical touch when you compare it to music from the 70's, 80's and 90's.
I just read your comment.
The funny ironic part of this comment.... is 21 century fox directed and distributed this song in the movie lol
Oh, Alex! This is so beautiful! Thank you so much!
CRYING REAL TEARS AMAZING ACCAPELLA
An African twist to things always makes it hit hard .
