He has a great voice. Hopefully seeing him on this video will show people that yes, we as disabled people can sing amazingly too and that we are not just a wheelchair or crutches, we are humans too and have emotions and talent.
Did anyone follow the male students journey? At the beginning he arrives. A long way from home. In the course of the song he gets to school, attends school. Then at school they do all those practical experiments. Then theres the scene where the books are so overwhelming for him. Then when the kids are singing Alex Boye hands him the directors'rod so he's the one conducting the choir. Showing he is getting good...and in the last scene he has his graduation gown on. Wow. A million dreams is all its gonna take
Because the powers that control the music industry would not allow a God driven man to succeed in todays music world. Sad but true. But it is changing... NOTHING CAN STOP WHAT IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!! A million dreams.... are changing the world now.... Nothing can stop us!!!
it's because while there are a few songs here and there, a lot of them are confusing. And some of his songs did get promoted, like with Disney and it's on youtube - but it didn't go anywhere - so it probably boils down to him. If you really want him to be big, you gotta put in the work for it to be promoted. I just don't see it going far. For me, the africanized stuff isn't africanized enough - and it's confusing why it's africanized in the first place - like alex boye said himself. If he pushes past that, he can achieve superstardom.

The MUSIC was very inspiring, which I suspect was your greatest motivation. One question - - What is the intent of putting the word "AFRICAN" in quotation marks? I get that fact that the song is a parody/rethinking of the movie theme song to "The Greatest Showman", but the quotation marks gives a connotation/implicatiion that something is "not quite right". Just curious - - Just sayin'....
I don't know why you replied to my comment with this but it's because it's in the middle of the original title "The Greatest Showman" That's what is technically not right, is African has been added into the original title.
This guy is a fantastic singer, and I love how much emotion he puts into his singing 😁 normally I'm not a person who is so enthusiastic about music and singing. This guy makes me enthusiastic about it😁
Alex's Showmanship is unbeatable his voice Unstoppable I hope he has a long career and he really makes you think with some of the songs that he chooses
This shows that it doesn’t matter who you are because when all our different races and ages are forgotten and we work together it is truly something beautiful 😁
That original piece at 3:03, is actually the part I remember most when hearing this rendition. It's so beautiful lyrics wise and theme wise for the song. Kudos.
Alex i don't know why u weren't original on AGT years back. This is your music and i love it. The pop with African rich harmonies and voices. Love from Nigeria
Because back then he had not yet REALIZED what he needed to learn to BE his genuine self. But now he is a force with which to be rekoned. AND he knows it.

As someone that has spent some time in the hospital throughout my life, the part with the doctors really meant so much to me. This is such a great video showing that every person has the capability to do something great in this world if they believe they can. I love it!

This is exactly the type of video that continues to give me hope for the human race. Well done visually, vocally, artistically, and most importantly it's a tribute to the human spirit and what it can accomplish despite different interests or cultures. Absolutely incredible!
I got to watch this in my school assembly because the girl in the yellow dress with the solo was in 4th grade from my school. It’s still so cool to think about it even coming back a year later.

Somethign about the Nigerian accent that just ALWAYS sounds good in music. It adds this power and attack to the words that just gives it emotion that you won't find anywhere else.
Well, Alex Boye has gone and done it again! Along with all these other wonderful people! Fabulous, fabulous! Thank you one and all! Love, Sister Gay Michaelis ❤️👍
This was ABSOLUTELY beautiful with your rendition of this amazing song. This shows diversity, this shows pride in our culture and who we are. And this shows that we are all Human Beings who should live harmoniously amongst ourselves!! ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS
I just broke down listening to this song. Some of it may come from my deep emotional connection to The Lion King and music with an African feel because of that. I think the main thing though is just how heartbroken the message being told to young black children is today. How angry and destructive they are being channeled by organizations like black lives matter and antifa. It breaks my heart to think this next generation will find messages like this song less and less. This video shows so much togetherness and working together and inclusivity and true diversity! They are all optimistic singing about making a world that is different and better! All I hear and see is hatred, division, destruction, and rage nowadays. Jesus, please have your hand on this nation and world in these dark times. Thank you Alex Boye and all these people involved for spreading some light!
WOW! So many wonderful feelings. Alex makes me believe that there are Angels among us. This is how all of God's children should love each other. Thanks to all of you involved in this. God bless you for the joy you bring!

This is my all time fav version of this song. Mr. Boye.... just pure WOW. It still blows my heart away... every time I hear it. XOXOXOXOOXOXOXO Best arrangement EVER.
I just learned about Alex tonight at his concert in Zion. I went to the funeral of my grandmother’s younger brother Marion Bentley who put on countless musicals and was an English teacher at Dixie State. What a treat celebrating my great uncle and learning about Alex Boyé and getting to hear him perform in the same day.
I am in my final semester of my senior year of college now. I am finishing my K-8 education degree. In the fall, (hopefully after Covid-19 passes), I am set to complete my student teaching. This beautiful rendition brought tears to my eyes! This motivated me immensely to keep pushing. It gave me hope that, through education, we can make this world a better place by allowing students to learn the skills necessary to pursue their passions and their life choices. Beautiful, thank you!
Ok... Ok... Fine... I'm crying. There. I admitted it. Its been my dream to fly beyond my boundaries. And I just got the opportunity. A million dreams its all its gonna take.
I don't know how many times I've watched this video, but it always brings tears to my eyes. Not sad tears, but happy tears. Especially when the children's choir joins in.
Alex Boye, you are an inspiration and an incredibly talented person! I love that you bring together so many people/styles into your music. This is my favorite version of this song!
I love Alex Boye! I took a picture with him at My high School Pine View!I also love DSU!!!Alex Boye is My favorite he has inspired me and is inspirational to me and everyone else!!!!!💝💝💝I LOVE YOU ALEX BOYE!!!💯
I know this was mostly just a commercial. But damn if it wasnt so much better than the actual movie. Everything felt magical and alive and compelling and fit the words to the song. This was how I pictured the movie and Im glad this exists. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
I honestly think I could watch this on repeat 24 hours a day and not get tired of it. Now more than ever we NEED this kind positivity. We need to celebrate each others' unique cultures, world experiences, talents and abilities in positive ways that bring us all together instead of focusing on how we're all different.
I've been playing it non stop for a week now... even on my phone full blast in the grocery store... I sing and dance with it.... People have been taking off their masks and dancing and singing with me!!! Its been GLORIOUS!!!!
Beautiful. Props to Alex Boye for recognizing that the color of a person's skin is the least interesting thing about them. I love the fusion of this song with African cultural influences. 10/10
We all have dreams some let it die, no! don't ever let go of your little dream, make it big, don't let it sleep in your heart. Life is beautiful, life is full of colors, don't let your dreams die. Blessing to all of you.
I am an Alex Boyé fan. Such a good and talented person...his versions of the great songs are made more precious and beautiful by the incredible skills of all the singers. Wow!
+Jonatha Teixeira if you take into account that about 85% of Utah is white (where the producing university is located), then this is a VERY diverse video
Generally yes except the large chorus of young children. That is not at all diverse, from the brief views. This is around 4:00 and slowing down the video and taking a look didn't change my perception.
I think the diversity that the choir adds is that they are children compared more (young) adult artists before that. So diversity in age. I agree that if you are talking about diversity in race in that choir there is very little. What I have noticed with choirs it really depends on where the choir is situated. Knowing that Alex Boye lives in Utah and the video being sponsored by Dixie State from Utah, that choir is probably also from Utah. Utah consists of about 85% whites... then it makes sense the choir is mostly white children.
The world is a better place with Alex Boyé in it

It gave me hope that, through education, we can make this world a better place by allowing students to learn the skills necessary to pursue their passions and their life choices. Beautiful, thank you!
Ok... Ok... Fine... I'm crying. There. I admitted it.
Its been my dream to fly beyond my boundaries. And I just got the opportunity. A million dreams its all its gonna take.
Watch it again
I don't know how many times I've watched this video, but it always brings tears to my eyes. Not sad tears, but happy tears. Especially when the children's choir joins in.

I know this was mostly just a commercial. But damn if it wasnt so much better than the actual movie. Everything felt magical and alive and compelling and fit the words to the song.
This was how I pictured the movie and Im glad this exists. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

IGBO Language: Hello! Mama, m'nno na St. George.
ENGLISH: Hello! Mama, I am in St. George.
Igbo language is really beautiful.
My language. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it
Martin Luther King jr would be proud of this!
ALL PEOPLE WHO FOUGHT FOR UNITY AND PEACE WOULD BE PROUD!
What about Nelson Mandela?
SunFlowur absolutely!!! And every since person whom has died for equal rights!.
May he be proud of us all!
Alex Boye & Dixie State University, you guys are Amazing..... 👍👍👍👍👍
Beter than the Original. 💪
Who lied to you bro😂😂💔
The fact that it has nice arrangements doesn’t make the the original work less better😂
Far better!
I agree.
😬 Beides sehr toll! 😁
I couldn't help but smile throughout this entire video. It's such a heart-warming song and the kids chorus at the end was just beautiful. Well done!
Wow!
Lmao its kinda sad to see such a masterpiece with less than 10 mil views.
It's our hidden Gem...much like all true masterpieces.
Looks and sounds like a wonderful place to study, live and grow! Beautiful production!
Why doesn't Alex have more subscribers??? This is amazing!!!
Wow, now that is how to sell a University!!
What a film, what rhythm, what fab voices. I could just watch it over and over xx
Alex. You have done something wonderful. You are literally one of the best people of all time. Please never stop being you
Wooooow !!! This was more than beautiful ! Made me tear up .
I love it!! Great job! You included so many people. :)
The Tiny Violinist sooo many white people...
Hey, it's not necessary to say that. This is a great video and it's diverse.
I agree! :)
When did it become a sin to be "white"? Whatever that actually means.
+Jonatha Teixeira if you take into account that about 85% of Utah is white (where the producing university is located), then this is a VERY diverse video
Oh, Alex! This is so beautiful! Thank you so much!
I love your art Alex Boye
I'm from TAIWAN!
I really really love you, Alex Boye!! Thanks for everything that you bringing us!!!
I immediately recognized the dude from the frozen one
Edit: THIS IS SO INCLUSIVE I LOVE IT
AVery well diverse video it shows how great we are as a people. If we just come together very unified.
100% AGREE!
Generally yes except the large chorus of young children. That is not at all diverse, from the brief views. This is around 4:00 and slowing down the video and taking a look didn't change my perception.
Wayne Burnett true true but there is still diversity within the video. No doubt.
Diederik Linders I'm talking about age diversity. No need to get technical.
idk why but by the end I'm crying each time
Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Keep singing.
As soon as he started singing... my face lit up, a massive smile. This is incredible. Bloody brilliant.
