Sorry Jimmy but the ps5 metal liquid issue was rubbish. It happened to one or two consoles. Playstation even came out and said this would only happen if you dropped your ps5 several times.
Never dropped mine and never opened and when it was broken the liquid was leaked. So i must be the one person lol. You have to know what sony say doesnt mean it has to be true they do a calculation of what is most expensive or cheap for them to do. most big companies have that kind of garbage fraudulent behavior.Its even worst with insurance companies.

Absolutely agree. I still wanna play my favorite games in 10 ore more years. With digital games this is nearly impossible, when Sony takes 'em off the store. Also I'm a collector. I want my games in my shelf. I still have my NES, Super NES, Gameboy, PS1, 2, 3 and 4. And I play the old games from time to time
The ps5 pro made me finally upgrade from my ps4. I have had it for less than a month and am liking it a lot. The original ps5 didn’t seem like big of an upgrade.
It’s good to hear that Sony fixed the liquid cooling issue. I think the PS5, PS5 Slim, and PS5 Pro looks better in the vertical position. Gaming on consoles is my jam! Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation. I prefer gaming on consoles.

Got a pro for my son for xmas.. daughter already had a 5.. Subnautica below zero and Elden Ring shine bright on the pro even tho they have ps5 versions. High resolutions, better framerate and overall performance. Very happy with this purchase. And OMG if anyone wants to see the difference play Cyperpunk on a ps5 then switch to the pro... that comparison really shows the difference in power 💯
@BrianBaastrup oh the difference is huge overall. Higher framerate, higher resolution. The PSSR helps upscale, it's just generally as close as your going to get to the PC version on a console.
All I see is comments about “upgrading” from a base ps5 whenever the pro is brought up… I specifically waited for a pro version and glad I did. Running a game like ragnarok in 4k while also running 80-90 fps thanks to pssr is a blessing. Obviously I know it’s upscaled but if you put it on a pc on my display running native 4k I promise I couldn’t tell the difference 😂
Most reviewers are saying it's a waste. Currently the hardware does not result in any significantly noticeable improvements. Most reviewers average 1 to 2 FPS.
same here, people not taking care of their things and then complaining when they break is a joke. There will surely be exceptions with manufacturer defects but that's usually a small amount.
@@MegaBobby36 correct. Information about the issue did suggest it was people who opened them up and messed around or had “someone” try and fix something. I had the PS5 since day one and it stood upright, traveled across country 15 times and never had any issue. Worked great and traded it in for PS5 pro. Take care of your stuff and it will last.
I've been mainly an Xbox guy since 360 but prior to that PS1 and PS2 eventually an original Xbox and a few different Gameboys. I was lucky enough to get the 30th anniversary pro bundle and figured I would get the portal too. I was skeptical but man it's been awesome. The only thing that we're missing is full backwards compatibility. There are quite a few PS1 and PS2 games I'd like to play natively. I've got a BC PS3 and got both handheld before they shut down. Even with a 4090 Desktop I'll still always want a console.

I have a launch edition ps5 and mine usually just randomly shuts off if it gets too hot I usually lay my ps5 flat horizontal and if I use my ps5 too long over 15 hours it can turn off. All of the launch ps5s don't give you a message that it's overheating it just turns off and it's annoying. My friend has a newer ps5 and he gets a message that his is overheating. They need to give og ps5s a message so I can know when to turn mine off and let it rest. ATM I'm saving up for a ps5 pro I hope it does not have heating problems.
As for the yellow paint or arrows and stuff like that . Developers should just make it an option in settings so you can turn it off if you don't want it . Seems like a simple solution 🤷🏻♂
It's pretty funny how gaming has turned now, today we have a lot more PC gamers than ever before, which is cool I am a PC gamer and love the fact I can just upgrade my PC to fit the specs I want, but also I enjoy my PS5 the fact I just turn it on and start up the game while relaxing. It just also breaks the time I do my work to having some fun because I work at my desk all day in front my my computer screen so just need that time to separate from it lol.

I think PC running environment gets improved a lot in the recent 5 years, resulting in an increase in PC gaming market. The console market is relatively stable, showing decrease or stalled increase. This does not mean PC will replace console hardware at the end. I wish they have a pro max version console in the future to complete with high end PC.
Nah it’s become trendy and that’s why the scenes improving, but I’m sure at the end of the day it’s still going to be just that. The only reason it’s become trendy is because Xbox and Fortnite literally ruining the scene and showing everyone’s investors trash ideas.

Had pro going on my 4k tv (silent hill 2 remake) then hooked the OG ps5 and tried silent hill, then went back to pro Oh my, its literally night and day difference. I did this because i wasn't happy with the silent hill pro patch so i wanted to see if the OG was better, nope.
1/7/25 Your now where I have been at for years, my first gaming computer was a 286 MS Win OS computer that I used a mouse and keys to play games like doom and other shooters while constantly having to upgrade the hardware to just play new games that came out. My friend got the original Xbox console, bit to me it was too big and bulky, but got it right with the Xbox 360 after fixing the red ring of death and adding features to Xbox Live that increased the number of online multi players on some of its games, since then my only preference is playing on console know that I won't have to reconfigure or purchase endless hardware upgrades when new games come out or learn a whole new set of keyboard commands when starting a different game, plus setup once made all I need to do is turn on my console dedicate to where I game. Plus having my old consoles Xbox and PS still working and a library of games on discs I can still play offline gives me the best of both worlds of old and new consoles that cover my gaming interests now and into the future. I do see how both MS and Sony have upgraded the Online experience some of it I like other parts no like so many unfinished game releases and so many game with micro game $$$ add Ons. Plus removing some digital games purchased online only. Give me a console any day like the phrase KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). I am not one that likes playing games a long time now on a computer or a tablet, handheld, cell phone when I can play on a decent size console setup.
Love motorfest, too. I love playing it through my sim rig instead of playing on a remote. Also love the 120 fps that my 7900xtx is giving me a hell of a lot better than I was getting on my ps5
I bought the PS5 pro. I was still playing my PS4 until then. I love it! Every game I'm playing looks great. I have only played Horizon burning shores, Grand Turismo, Dragons Dogma 2 and Path of Exile 2 so far but all are great. I think it's worth the money.

My launch PS5 disc drive quit on me last week which annoys me for obvious reasons, but the main one is that I rarely have ever used the disc drive. Most everything I play is digitally downloaded.

I was partially successful converting my offspring away from their 3090 P.C. to the P.S.5 with Kitty. When they felt the purrs in the game; their eyes were opened to different input methods.
Did I make a bad choice spending all that money on the PS4 Pro for my first PS five I bought the PS five disc version Slimm and then I got nervous thinking I made a mistake and I returned it to Best Buy and they didn’t open it. I did not take out the Fortnite paper for that free stuff. That’s not me. I’m not gonna do that and I want to trade it in for a PS five Pro and they did not have the disc drive. Hey Jimmy, Great ps ready video today. I often look at videos PlayStation news with you and Xbox news with ray. As a Xbox person and a PlayStation person having the best of both worlds through console. Totally removing console gaming or should I say the thing that made my childhood/teenage/adult life great is a mistake that a company like Xbox will not recover from, so I am glad that the that CEO of PlayStation understands the importance of console gaming. When gaming consoles become obsolete I am not going to play games any longer.
To be honest, the PS5 Pro is actually the PS5. Sony just realized that they couldn’t sell the console for $800 back then. So they dumbed it down to achieve the $500 price tag. Nothing wrong with that. With the way technology is nowadays we all know they could’ve made a huge improvement to consoles, but this means it will get the price tag improvement as well like PC. I wonder if eventually consoles would become PCS and you will be able to upgrade more than just the internal hard drive. But then again that’s impossible because we already have PCs and companies like Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo would want most games to be on their platform, so the most we will eventually get to upgrade would be cooling and the SSD drive.

My PS5 has become a nearly dedicated DVD player, excepting some highly cinnematic games, alongside my portable Switch for Nintendo games, and PC for aught else ^^ Xbox is missed on me =/
I love the PC for certain games like Apex, But i really love my PS5 for everything else and as far as My phone video game experience is playing candy crush or RAID:shadow legends while sitting in the doctors office or on a flight! ✌🏼

Sounding a bit out of touch saying his laptop is the dedicated gaming pc when everyone knows they don't cool as well as desktops but then doesn't want games on his phone which has been the biggest gaming platform for several years and arm chips being such great performers that even the Mac that he uses for editing videos is now based on that... I got bad news for you bud, everything is going arm in the next 2 generations if it hasn't went to the cloud already. Linux is going places and Valve Fremont is going to be big for Linux marketshare if that OS becomes available for everyone like HoloISO is.

Millennial casual gamer, almost exclusively single player games, I literally have or had every console since Nintendo 64, every PS , every Xbox, never been a pc guy. With the industry thinking it’s ok to sell consoles without a disk drive and the rising cost of consoles the PS5 pro is likely going to be my last console purchase. I’m still on PS4 pro and Xbox one but end of the month I’m buying a PS5 Pro and instead of buying a new Xbox I’m just going to build a pc , exclusives aren’t exclusive anymore both Sony and Microsoft release to pc but not each other, consoles are becoming useless which is sad in a nostalgic sense.

I have both an Xbox series X and A PS5 slim disc Edition and I'll be honest I'm rarely on Xbox.. I got 4TB 990 Pro on my PS5 Slim and I just like the console better. But every now and then I turn my Xbox series X on and play some of the older games I still have. Everything I have is on Physical Media So have no worries about Digital Library BS. I was raised correctly

Luckily the power still on so I haven't had to break out my generator. So I'm a happily snuggled in my home playing my PS5 Slim.. Always have mine Horizontal anyway. Dbrand Plates an stand is AWESOME Wish the Pro would of actually been worth the money. But a PS5 Slim Disc Edition(No Digital in my world) with a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro[$760 total] was far more worth the money.. The Placebo effect is hitting Pro buyers hard. Witch I Understand.. But 99% of games are Proven to show No visible nor Proformitive differences on the PS5 Pro to the PS5 Pro..

Never really did get the gist of cloud gaming.
Mine PS5 had no problems at all. Got the PS5 Pro no problems at all.
I've been mainly an Xbox guy since 360 but prior to that PS1 and PS2 eventually an original Xbox and a few different Gameboys. I was lucky enough to get the 30th anniversary pro bundle and figured I would get the portal too. I was skeptical but man it's been awesome. The only thing that we're missing is full backwards compatibility. There are quite a few PS1 and PS2 games I'd like to play natively. I've got a BC PS3 and got both handheld before they shut down. Even with a 4090 Desktop I'll still always want a console.
I have my launch PS5 still and it still runs great. I have my launch PS5 Pro and it shows no sign of tearing up either.
PS5 Pro reinforces the digital future, so I wont be supporting it. Physical disk support forever.

I have a launch edition ps5 and mine usually just randomly shuts off if it gets too hot I usually lay my ps5 flat horizontal and if I use my ps5 too long over 15 hours it can turn off. All of the launch ps5s don't give you a message that it's overheating it just turns off and it's annoying. My friend has a newer ps5 and he gets a message that his is overheating. They need to give og ps5s a message so I can know when to turn mine off and let it rest. ATM I'm saving up for a ps5 pro I hope it does not have heating problems.
As for the yellow paint or arrows and stuff like that . Developers should just make it an option in settings so you can turn it off if you don't want it . Seems like a simple solution 🤷🏻♂

It's pretty funny how gaming has turned now, today we have a lot more PC gamers than ever before, which is cool I am a PC gamer and love the fact I can just upgrade my PC to fit the specs I want, but also I enjoy my PS5 the fact I just turn it on and start up the game while relaxing. It just also breaks the time I do my work to having some fun because I work at my desk all day in front my my computer screen so just need that time to separate from it lol.
Arcade style games is what brings fun competition ...competition brings players back to hone skills n beat high scores......

I think PC running environment gets improved a lot in the recent 5 years, resulting in an increase in PC gaming market. The console market is relatively stable, showing decrease or stalled increase. This does not mean PC will replace console hardware at the end. I wish they have a pro max version console in the future to complete with high end PC.
Nah it’s become trendy and that’s why the scenes improving, but I’m sure at the end of the day it’s still going to be just that.
The only reason it’s become trendy is because Xbox and Fortnite literally ruining the scene and showing everyone’s investors trash ideas.

The crew motor fest does have a PS4 variant. I bought it from my kid and on the boxes it says free upgrade to PS5.

I first noticed the yellow hint in the last of us on ps3. Its everywhere. I prefere being lost. Then the game gives u a hint. I'd rather that than yellow everywhere
Or add an option to remove it or lower the brightness of the yellow and white waypoints imo.
Love my Pro! Did my first ever comparison last night. Had pro going on my 4k tv (silent hill 2 remake) then hooked the OG ps5 and tried silent hill, then went back to pro
Oh my, its literally night and day difference. I did this because i wasn't happy with the silent hill pro patch so i wanted to see if the OG was better, nope.
1/7/25 Your now where I have been at for years, my first gaming computer was a 286 MS Win OS computer that I used a mouse and keys to play games like doom and other shooters while constantly having to upgrade the hardware to just play new games that came out. My friend got the original Xbox console, bit to me it was too big and bulky, but got it right with the Xbox 360 after fixing the red ring of death and adding features to Xbox Live that increased the number of online multi players on some of its games, since then my only preference is playing on console know that I won't have to reconfigure or purchase endless hardware upgrades when new games come out or learn a whole new set of keyboard commands when starting a different game, plus setup once made all I need to do is turn on my console dedicate to where I game. Plus having my old consoles Xbox and PS still working and a library of games on discs I can still play offline gives me the best of both worlds of old and new consoles that cover my gaming interests now and into the future. I do see how both MS and Sony have upgraded the Online experience some of it I like other parts no like so many unfinished game releases and so many game with micro game $$$ add Ons. Plus removing some digital games purchased online only. Give me a console any day like the phrase KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). I am not one that likes playing games a long time now on a computer or a tablet, handheld, cell phone when I can play on a decent size console setup.
Love motorfest, too. I love playing it through my sim rig instead of playing on a remote. Also love the 120 fps that my 7900xtx is giving me a hell of a lot better than I was getting on my ps5
I bought the PS5 pro. I was still playing my PS4 until then. I love it! Every game I'm playing looks great. I have only played Horizon burning shores, Grand Turismo, Dragons Dogma 2 and Path of Exile 2 so far but all are great. I think it's worth the money.

Yeah there seems to be a issue with the controllers big time at least for me I went through like four controllers and I have three of and I need to replace them I just haven't been able to get them on the count their expand as hell...

My launch PS5 disc drive quit on me last week which annoys me for obvious reasons, but the main one is that I rarely have ever used the disc drive. Most everything I play is digitally downloaded.
That could be the problem. for mechanical products its best to have regular use imho.
It's like driving a car. If it sits around too long not being used, it won't work as efficiently.
My Ps5 shuts off all the time. Barely had a year and shuts off ...can only use for Netflix

You aren't alone. My PS5 slim is amazing. I didn't think Id need it but they stopped making PS4 games last year.
I feel the same way you do in this video I paid my hard-earned money for games I don't want a game that screwed up like need for speed unbound with all the error codes it's ridiculous in games that are only 60% done
I totally agree with what you said!!! Wait to buy a PlayStation!!! Going forward I will be waiting on pro versions on the PlayStation to purchase cause like you said I will be buying a system that will future proof me until the next gen pro version. Thanks for the great advice.

I had the same problem with my PlayStation five when I first bought mine the liquid cooling it overheated all the time so I had to take it in, but thank God I got it fixed for free

I was partially successful converting my offspring away from their 3090 P.C. to the P.S.5 with Kitty. When they felt the purrs in the game; their eyes were opened to different input methods.

Did I make a bad choice spending all that money on the PS4 Pro for my first PS five I bought the PS five disc version Slimm and then I got nervous thinking I made a mistake and I returned it to Best Buy and they didn’t open it. I did not take out the Fortnite paper for that free stuff. That’s not me. I’m not gonna do that and I want to trade it in for a PS five Pro and they did not have the disc drive. It’s sold out everywhere. I’ll wait for that. Eventually did I make a mistake? Yes, or no Need someone’s advice thank you. I have not opened the PS five pro . I’ve been too busy at work.

Great ps ready video today. I often look at videos PlayStation news with you and Xbox news with ray. As a Xbox person and a PlayStation person having the best of both worlds through console. Totally removing console gaming or should I say the thing that made my childhood/teenage/adult life great is a mistake that a company like Xbox will not recover from, so I am glad that the that CEO of PlayStation understands the importance of console gaming. When gaming consoles become obsolete I am not going to play games any longer.

To be honest, the PS5 Pro is actually the PS5. Sony just realized that they couldn’t sell the console for $800 back then. So they dumbed it down to achieve the $500 price tag.
Nothing wrong with that. With the way technology is nowadays we all know they could’ve made a huge improvement to consoles, but this means it will get the price tag improvement as well like PC. I wonder if eventually consoles would become PCS and you will be able to upgrade more than just the internal hard drive. But then again that’s impossible because we already have PCs and companies like Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo would want most games to be on their platform, so the most we will eventually get to upgrade would be cooling and the SSD drive.
I agree with you on consoles continuing. I will continue to buy a PlayStation and Nintendo whatever every 4 years.

I believe that before the 6 comes out that they will drop price of the 5 and the 5 Pro like they did on a black Friday deal 3 years before on the 4 slim and 4 Pro. I bought my slim for $199.99+ tax and my psvr1 for $249.99 + tax 2017
It was a black friday sale from Sony them self. So I believe this will happen again but the difference this time they will make exclusive to playstation direct.
I just bought a PS5 and I’m loving it. My friends all have Xbox, but I like the PS better. Consoles are just better over streaming games.

Some companies may think so but who would buy say… a Nintendo switch if Nintendo had to make it run on everything and if it runs on everything that eliminates Nintendo’s ecosystem and folds it all back into the PC and if we fold everything into the PC we get less targeted development where there is a known dedicated platform where developers can squeeze as much out of the target platform as possible. My PS5 has become a nearly dedicated DVD player, excepting some highly cinnematic games, alongside my portable Switch for Nintendo games, and PC for aught else ^^ Xbox is missed on me =/

I love the PC for certain games like Apex, But i really love my PS5 for everything else and as far as My phone video game experience is playing candy crush or RAID:shadow legends while sitting in the doctors office or on a flight! ✌🏼

Sounding a bit out of touch saying his laptop is the dedicated gaming pc when everyone knows they don't cool as well as desktops but then doesn't want games on his phone which has been the biggest gaming platform for several years and arm chips being such great performers that even the Mac that he uses for editing videos is now based on that... I got bad news for you bud, everything is going arm in the next 2 generations if it hasn't went to the cloud already.
Linux is going places and Valve Fremont is going to be big for Linux marketshare if that OS becomes available for everyone like HoloISO is.

Millennial casual gamer, almost exclusively single player games, I literally have or had every console since Nintendo 64, every PS , every Xbox, never been a pc guy. With the industry thinking it’s ok to sell consoles without a disk drive and the rising cost of consoles the PS5 pro is likely going to be my last console purchase. I’m still on PS4 pro and Xbox one but end of the month I’m buying a PS5 Pro and instead of buying a new Xbox I’m just going to build a pc , exclusives aren’t exclusive anymore both Sony and Microsoft release to pc but not each other, consoles are becoming useless which is sad in a nostalgic sense.

The thing I get heated over is when I BUY a digital version through the PlayStation store and then I’m told that I only buy the license to play the game. If it says BUY then I am buying the game…. I have both an Xbox series X and A PS5 slim disc Edition and I'll be honest I'm rarely on Xbox..
I got 4TB 990 Pro on my PS5 Slim and I just like the console better. But every now and then I turn my Xbox series X on and play some of the older games I still have.
Everything I have is on Physical Media So have no worries about Digital Library BS. I was raised correctly

Wish the Pro would of actually been worth the money. But a PS5 Slim Disc Edition(No Digital in my world) with a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro[$760 total] was far more worth the money.. The Placebo effect is hitting Pro buyers hard. Witch I Understand..
But 99% of games are Proven to show No visible nor Proformitive differences on the PS5 Pro to the PS5 Pro..
