    I would look at the “before” condition, and cry. Rotten wood. Corrosion. They pulled off a miracle restoration and it’s so beautiful.

    Sure you don’t remember me Zoe, but we went to school together in France for a couple of years. Glad to see you doing beautiful things. All the best.

    It's not often you see a piece of art history cut in half.

    So much appreciate your posting these particular conservation efforts on such a beautiful piece of art. It is both fascinating and satisfying to know that there are people with such skill and ability to preserve the beauty in our lives.

    a piece of wood on a metal stick left out in the rain and snow...how was this ever a good idea? Were they copying the Versaille statues? Anyway great work from the restoration team.

      Might have been a power move from a previous owner.
      "Priceless piece of art? Pah, I get a handful of those every Christmas, so what."

    •  5 лет назад +4

      It was a good idea because it was never meant to last.

    Interesting posting, but why muddy the voice track by overlaying echo effects and superfluous music?

    Is gaiety where the term gay (as in the old meaning happy) came from

    • @juliahcornell
      @juliahcornell 6 лет назад +6

      Gay didn't necessarily come from gaiety, both words come from Old French. They are, of course, related, but in English at least, neither evolved from the other.
