Ok translation: Every branch had levels of bone stock gourmet chow calls, but they were limited to "why" & "when".
Except: Yep, you guessed it, the USAF.
If you were Army, Navy or Marine and had any sort of backdoor (think about it) opportunity at the nearest USAF chow hall, you'd find a way. They ate like that 24/7, 365 a year. No BS. It's part of the military life to raid (quietly enter) USAF chow halls clandestinely, and linger unnoticed while partaking in the pure wonder of it all!
But it's usually unsuccessful until you gain experience. This separates the boys from the men. And also the females, same idea.
I'm USMC and my success rate at Kadena was about 33.33% gaining entry. But it was worth it.
Remember, every branch eats really, really good. But the frickin' Air Force eats WELL!

So if you do US Marine basic training, and try to switch branches u don’t have to redo boot camp? It makes sense cause I know it’s hard it’s just kinda interesting.
@@harrybalsick1020 Yeah, I won’t have to do any of the other branch’s boot camps. For enlisted that is, if I wanted to commission as an Officer, I would have to go through the Officer’s course.
If your MOS isn't one that's available in the Army you will have to at least go through AIT. You wouldn't want to be in AIT having not been through basic training and even then you wouldn't want to got to a duty station without at least having gone through AIT. They let a guy in from the Navy like that when I was in AIT and the majority of is free time was spent reading the book, I don't remember the name, they give you at reception that has all the stuff they train you on. It would be an easier transition for a Marine because there are a large amount of similarities but there are a lot of small differences like marching that will trip you up. Probably the biggest difference is riffle qualification because the Army use pop up targets. The targets y'all qualify on is what the Army use to see if you can hit a target before you start training to qualify but you wouldn't have to worry about that until it's time to requalify
