When I first saw this commander, the first thing I thought of was wirewood symbiote since this card is an elf.
Another birthing pod combo with Rocco is to cast him to get dockside, sac rocco to pod, search out temur sabertooth or emiel, and now you have infinite mana.
Temur sabertooth could also just bounce your commander to re-tutor. This deck's going to be a big contender

The moment I saw Rocco I knew it would be CEDH viable, that's such a powerful ability in solid colours. Food Chain definitely seems like a fantastic home for him.
I love the idea to use hatebears to slow down the game and protect yourself and just toss them into the chain when you want to win the game.
I love toolbox commanders and this deck looks like so much fun.
It can also with with Cloudstone curio. Cast Rocco for five and search dockside creating 7 treasures, when dockside enters bounce Rocco, cast him for five to search magda, the brazen outlaw bouncing dockside, use last two treasures to cast dockside boncing magda and repeat, once you have inmeasurable treasures, sac five of them to search terror of the peaks and continue bouncing magda and dockside to kill everyone

One important thing with Vivien is that you can use Arena Rector + Sac Effect to get Vivien from Deck and Full kiki combo. I enjoy that line since it is fully executable while ouphe is in play.
That plus it’s faster and more consistent
I think this will be yet another perfect foodchain deck that will eventually be so good it stops playing foodchain and becomes a real deck😉

Yeah Winita could be great here. And the best part is that it is a 7 mana winita from the command zone! But that is honestly fine!

A card that seems solid in the deck is the three mana Vivien from war of the spark. This turns Rocco into chord of calling without convoke, and has a pretty good chance to be solid card advantage because of the high creature count.
Great video mons gave me a lot of Idea on how I should brew my own version. Another creature I thought he could search would be winota after dumping some hatebears then you can immediately get value from her
That's a spicy plan, I like it! Definitely a ton of options to consider with this card
I like that plan too. Not bad. You could look at it like 7 mana winota from command zone. But you also gain a winota creature. People might even block the elf commander to prevent winota triggers.

greater good with phyrexian dreadnaught is solid. layers as a sac outlet with academy rector, greater good plus the rocco is 8 mana draw 12. Greater good also turns craterhoof into a peer into the abyss. dreadnaught also turns rocco into a sac outlet. seems like it could be flexible and powerful. dreadnaught can be tutored with dryad arbor off a pod effect
Planebound Accomplice to cheat out Vivien and planebound is 3 cmc so that can get sacrificed to Viviens +2 for Felidar Guardian and create the combo you were talking about at 7:45
Another line that we forget about in may is devoted Druid and swift reclamation. Skyshroud elf filters for this commander. Also it’s an elf so let’s put wire wood symbiote into the mix.
I like this deck with Arena Rector and a few sac outlets.

It is finally a decent naya commander. Minsc was the best so far and he is mostly a sac outlet. I do not like craterhoof as much as terror of the peaks with endurance loops.(because i do not require combat and can win with an emegence zone)
Have you considered a condensed toolbox version of this where the win con is Godo? You just rush to that big mana count for godo, but now you get ROL effects and dorks like Orcish Lumberjack and Tinder wall to speed it up!
Food chain seems awesome, but I don't know if godo and food chain would pair off well together ✍️
I think food chain is faster. And I think you still have the toolbox option with the food chain combo. I don't know if you gain that much with Godo as the combo instead. But sure you can play Godo with Rocco to. Would probobly work great,

Wouldn't searching out Temur Sabertooth be viable to skirt around the commander tax? Plus then you can just search out the Sabertooth/Dockside combo and win from there.
The cards are in the deck. It can be a bit slow. 7 mana for temur. Then 2 mana to return and 5 mana so 7 again next turn. Or 14 to win all in same turn. Can happen. I more look at it like you draw into 1 of them and find the other.
Great commander but im not really sold in the FC plan, but it have great lines with birthing pod and makes easy to find cards when you need them as long you have the mana. It definitely has good things going for it but it really have to fight off with Minc being a commander in the same colors with a similar game plan and im not really sure Rocco its going to be better than Minsc

naya best colors
Naya is really cool color combination. I think naya and Bant are colors that kinda make seans. Yes they could work here togheter.
Including Whitemane Lion in the deck means you can tutor it with Rocco, bounce Rocco, use Rocco to tutor Kiki Jiki, tap Kiki Jiki to clone Whitemane Lion, use Whitemane Lion's trigger to bounce Rocco, use Rocco to tutor Felidar Guardian, use Felidar Guardian's trigger to go infinite with Kiki Jiki. Its a 20 mana win without any enchantments or artifacts.
Edit: Getting Felidar Guardian first and then sending Rocco to the command zone to recast with tax and get Kiki Jiki is 17 mana total, and easier on the colors. Bonus points for Bard Class lvl 2 or Unbound Flourishing maybe?
I made a change because Kiki needs the combat step to win, and I really didn’t like the options for haste enabling creatures. So for an easy way to win outside the combat step I swapped from Craterhoof to Twinshot Sniper to win with etb damage. Because I cut two cards (2nd being the hasty dude) I also added Endurance so I can loop creatures infinitely and win without needing any non-creature mana off dockside either to win. Hoof is good but diversification to win outside of combat was worth the swap to me.

That is nice! I will actually add it to the list. But it is a bit slow. It is not something you can do every game. Turbo decks and be to fast sometimes.

I'm actually curious as to why you added Magda, Brazen Outlaw to the decklist. The only real treasure producer is Dockside and I'm guessing you're trying to grab Cloudstone Curio.
Would you recommend Magda as another way to go with Birthing Pod?
I was looking some decent ramp creature and yes. I am looking a bit towards cloudstone. I think Magda is a decent creature overall.
@@cedhtv ah thank you for the reason. I'm brewing a list with using birthing Pod and food chain as main win cons so it's hard to find room for Magda, but I will have to test her at one point.

Instead of Academy Rector, you could also do Arena Rector and find Viv.

is there a cheaper card that does the same thing? like inf etbs should be able to win with a 2 or 3 mana card in naya
like mogg fanatic or ember hauler off emiel+karmic guide. or eternal witness and lightning bolt after dockside emiel is prolly better
@@iansamuel1811 if you already have infinite mana, you can sac a squee to goblin bombardment and cast him from your graveyard.
