As a rabid btd fan and td fan, here were some of my thoughts Mine layer: For the version thats hyper focused on damage over splash, how about allowing it to smartly throw mines all in one place? This gurantee's that every mine will have maximum value, especially if your game only explodes enough mines to gurantee a kill on the mob that is currently above it The more aoe focused one could probably spew them faster as a trade off to not having a 'smart' targeting option Cryo: can be balanced if the top path is the only path that allows it to induce any effect on a boss, while the bottom can only effect the smaller mobs - this forces a player into paying for one or the other and not spreading cheaper versions out to get the same effect for less DJ: I strongly suggest splitting your dj into being just attack range, or just price reduction, and having a different tower be your attack speed increase. If you ever plan on having material immunites like lead, flying, anti magic/energy, then a DJ enabling towers to effect all types could be that added spice at the end of either route Laser Gunner: Energy immune towers would mean your explosive ones give more value, but you could still give a 'lead' melting effect on your laser gunner. Another thought is the laser's attacks themselves being the thing that 'strips' camo/hidden properties off of mobs, or, having the laser gunner DO more damage to camo as the added benefit team play is best play! Having towers that can do everything doesn't lead to very interesting future content or scenarios, imo!
Advisor should be a replacement to DJ since it makes alot more sense Or Be a new tower itself that gives stun immune ( one or two towers only ) or forcefully upgrade someones tower ( if they agree and you'll pay with your own money ) and gives out commands that orders your towers to attack something or do something specificly this will be a very unique support tower that will add alot more gameplay diversity.
What about the idea of introducing a tower like Barracks. Would basically spawn some troops, like in the old TD classic "Kingdom Rush", which can engage the incoming enemies directly on the path.
Something cool for the DJ to have is smaller ranges going further and futher but get weaker, since the DJ is based on support by making music. Like in real life sounds get quieter the more distant you go, so imagine the DJ hvaing the blue range close to him making all towers in that range get full boost, and then theres a orange range outside the blue one giving only 30-50% of the boost and than a final red range giving only 10-25% of the original boost.
It would be cool to see the stealth guys jump over the mines from the mine layer. Because it doesn’t make much sense for a ghost of sorts to not trigger the mines. Although it could get laggy if there is a lot of mines
Suggestion: radio guy (base level basically does nothing) Top path: mortar strike(15s cooldown) -> better mortar strike(10s) -> artillery barrage(30-40s) -> A10 Air Support(40s) -> Tomahawk missile strike(60-80s cus op) Bottom path: Troops at the start of a wave -> Paratrooper support(30s) -> upgraded paratroopers(35s) -> better troops and some vehicles at the start of the wave -> bring in the entire fucking military(90s cooldown, includes the AC130 which lasts 45 seconds) would be kool if you could choose if you wanted a precise but small artillery barrage or just a large inaccurate artillery barrage, and maybe poison gas(troops wear gas masks when exposed to poison so like -10% range ig)
Mine layer is like the spike tower thing in btd 6! Its the thing that places spikes down and you can get explosive mines in one of the upgrades on the top path of it
You should add a unit medic alike that can heal from stuns on the first path and add more health to units like giving them armor on the second path and on the final upgrade the first path heals all units to max health and the second path gives units infinite health for a short period of time
Perhaps to now make it to similar to the mafia boss, the troops are paratroopers with spawn in in a certain radius around a point you select on the map or something

John know you might not listen to this comment but if you ever heard of temperature difference, it’s when something really hot gets cool down extremely fast. Well I’m trying to say here is you should add temperature difference so with the minelayer you could freeze it immediately and then it will do double damage. It’s just a suggestion.
Tower idea: The Commando. Top path: goes from burst fire pistol to submachine gun which has a grenade attachment so its like rangers abillity. Bottom path: Minigun or MG 42 Tower Idea: Mercenary. Top path: shotgun to ak 47. Bottom path: Dual revolvers with incendiary rounds and have a ability where he throw molotov. Also he could give money.
A small QoL maybe add a drag and select which allows u to drag and select a group of towers like how we select a group of texts in a notepad to either delete or activate ability so you dont have to click them individually

If you add a plane to the game maybe make it so it won’t have a runway but the plane has to periodically leave to refuel and rearm, but the tower itself could be like an air commander person. The plane could have a bomber plane path and a combat plane path. The bomber plane could have a atomic bomb ability on max level. The combat plane max could have 4 minigun turrets and some rocket pods and homing missles. The the rocket pod missles would not home but would cause a lot of area damage and the homing missles would home on the strongest target and cause a lot more damage but not as much area damage because the missles would be armour piercing. If you like the idea could you maybe credit me if you add it?

Day 1 of asking gdi (john) Add this feature after release of the game : Add like a hardcore kinda thingy (like in tds) and when you add it make it like this or like a lil different: - To access hardcore you need to have lv 10 (if you are adding this lvl feature) - In hardcore you can use only towers that have skins OR towers that cost in the tower shop higher than 1k coins or some currency like that (plz add this , it will make hardcore real hardcore)

You should add an boss rush gamemode in the future, so then pros will have at least something to do other than boringly grinding coins when the game is finished ofc
Enemy idea: A enemy that copies nearby towers and summons then as enemies, it will always spawn in the max ones even though the tower is on lvl 3 or 2, ranger or other low health towers will be important because if the enemy targets a high health tower the enemy will have that hp and can summon multiple Enemy idea: a enemy that steals 50 cash away from you every 15 seconds Cash taker: steals 50 cash Advance cash taker: steals 500 cash Elite cash taker: steals 1000 cash Enemy idea: an enemy that sabotages towers with advanced guns like cryoblaster, laser-gunner and chemical thrower, makimg them unusable. If the zombie has not died after 20 seconds the advanced guns will explode killing the tower and damaging other towers around it, it will only target 2 towers with advance guns.

Cutscenes would be hard to make and will annoy the players cuz they couldnt do anything to defend and stuff

You should add chemical guy or what that give some boosts,damage,poison maybe, fire and etc if u wanna add something else it would be really cool to add cutscenes for bosses too

the vampire tower will be able to teleport to the strongest enemy dealing damage and then eventually the enemies take over time damage for 3 secs that will be called "bleed" any enemy bitten will take the overtime damage and the overall damage.
cryo blaster to op shoudn't be able to freeze end game bosses and should only be able to slow them at best
actually it is very expensive you need like 8 of them

Day 1 of asking gdi (john) Add this feature after release of the game :
Add like a hardcore kinda thingy (like in tds) and when you add it make it like this or like a lil different:
- To access hardcore you need to have lv 10 (if you are adding this lvl feature)
- In hardcore you can use only towers that have skins OR towers that cost in the tower shop higher than 1k coins or some currency like that (plz add this , it will make hardcore real hardcore)

Bro everytime john uploads a update about tdx my hands gets more itchy to grind this game everything starting from the mechanics,towers and enemies everything is just keep getting better and better i cant wait till the game release
I think mine layer got reference from trapper in tbz (tower blitz) since they both got bomb and a place "trap" tower only thing different is trapper have to upgrade to get bomb (idk which path anymore but i think its 2-4? Maybe)

You should add an boss rush gamemode in the future, so then pros will have at least something to do other than boringly grinding coins

Enemy idea:
A enemy that copies nearby towers and summons then as enemies, it will always spawn in the max ones even though the tower is on lvl 3 or 2, ranger or other low health towers will be important because if the enemy targets a high health tower the enemy will have that hp and can summon multiple
Enemy idea: a enemy that steals 50 cash away from you every 15 seconds
Cash taker: steals 50 cash
Advance cash taker: steals 500 cash
Elite cash taker: steals 1000 cash
Enemy idea:
an enemy that sabotages towers with advanced guns like cryoblaster, laser-gunner and chemical thrower, makimg them unusable. If the zombie has not died after 20 seconds the advanced guns will explode killing the tower and damaging other towers around it, it will only target 2 towers with advance guns.
