you know what? quit yer bellyachin'. none of us want our movie heroes to fade away. NOR our ROCK GODS. I was a teen in the early 80's, and remember these guys when they were in their early 20's,and they were off the fuckin hook. I am happy that they are still around and still making music, and trying to keep their fans happy in ANY CAPACITY. because a lot of the bands from the 80's have fallen by the wayside. be grateful for what you have, and don't complain.. live is not forever, people. we all get old.. voices go to shit... guitar abilities suffer too. enjoy our music while we have it.
All of us who were around in the 80's are getting old and slowly falling apart. It is a sad fact of life. But I still like seeing the old bands, and am glad that they're still around. Don may not be able to sing anymore, but then I can't stand and bang my head for a 90 minute show anymore. I just sit there and enjoy the music and hope that I'll be in bed before 11pm. I hope they tour the US!
Lynch with regular hair for the first time ever. I almost didn’t recognize him. He can still play! Don still sounds better than any of today’s so called singers. He’s in the twilight of his career and that’s sad because he could really sing before. One of the greatest singers of all time! He had an incredible range. I still like Dokken and grew up in the Eighties with this music that’s a part of me forever. This is one their best songs. Rock on Dokken! 👏🏻🎸😎
Poor Don. Dokken is and always will be one of my favorites. Years of vocal abuse takes its toll. I have played live for almost 40 years as a hard rock/metal singer and one day my voice just said “no more”.
Saw them live at the '88' Monsters of Rock in Irving, TX. George played the solo just like the "Official Video" dropped the pick hand down away from the guitar and did the legato part with just the left hand. He was on fire!!!! They were the best band on the tour in my opinion. Kingdom Come sucked, Metallica sounded like the record, Scorpions were almost playing as well as George and company, and the mighty VH were pretty good not great. This was the best Dokken ever sounded. I have seen them several times even with Reb Beach, Who smoked on the Erase the Slate tour, while Don tanked on vocals. Don hasn't been up to even his standards for a long time. Especially not since vocal surgery. Just my opinion don't get Butt Hurt over it, from some one who seen Dokken in their prime and not so prime. Still a good band.
My first ever concert was Monsters of Rock at Foxboro Stadium in June of 1988. Dokken was off the charts that night!!!! To be fair, all of the bands brought it for that gig. I lost my voice for three days and I didn't care!! Great memories.
I was fortunate enough to see them when don was in his prime he was a great singer. But unfortunately we all have an expiration date. It hurts to see him like this but he has to pay the bills.
George was dead on with the solo. You may be mistaken, George is always trying to make things a little bit different. He mentioned this in one of his interviews, how the fans are conservative and don't like his new changes. He hasn't lost his ability to solo, he's just making it a little bit different.
Well not every single time he solos, but throughout the years he plays things a little bit different, just to be different. Check out his REvolution album. He rehashed his old Dokken/Lynch Mob songs but more in a contemporary metal style.
It's a real pity, because you can hear Don still has great tone in his voice, he just can't hit the high notes. Time is a bitch. George, on the other hand... Just superb. God, I love his playing. They had some great songs, and that's their legacy.
George's tone sounds very dry. This is not a knock on George and I'm not gonna knock on Don or the rest of them, but it's as though something's wrong with Georgey's rig. He usually sounds fantastic and I can tell that he played very well, and for a gig like this you can be he brought a solid rig. Maybe something shorted out. This is how my Marshall sounded when the tubes drained down. Unfortunately, I didn't sound anywhere as good as George.
Matthew Mcintire yeah , I think reb is stronger rhythm player than George. George is trying to do too much here. Just do a straight rhythm part would be better

And what about Mr.Steven Tyler condicion..?? It is not about age... but lifestile ;-)
I love how George is using the album cover art for Lynch Mob’s debut album “Wicked Sensations”
This version of "In My Dreams" sounded better than I thought it would! 👍
Lynch with regular hair for the first time ever. I almost didn’t recognize him. He can still play!

Rock on Dokken! 👏🏻🎸😎
Love It! Lynch still has it!
Thanks for keeping the camera on George

Actually his voice is better here than his performance in 2023, but this was nearly 8 years ago.
My favorite of all George's guitars, the Green Skull & Serpent, Fucking Beautiful Instrument!
Yeah it's the art from the Lynch Mob album right? Cool looking guitar. Personally I'm all about the kamikaze.
All of King George's guitars are 🔥
Don playing backup guitar is like George singing backup vocals.
🤣👍🏻
@@BountyHunterBootcamp lol!
That was a rift between George and Don. Who would play guitar
George still plays amazing, if not better than back in the day.
In my dreams, Don still can sing. His voice is strong, it still remains...
I love this song
I kept expecting the singer to scream "AHH AHH AAAAHHHHHHHH" until I realized it wasn't Sam Kennison.

1988
David lee Roth was still in VH in 1984

No dude his vocals suck now. But I will give him credit for not using backing tracks.
good god don...
Lynch is fire
When are people going to realize cellphone footage usually sounds like crap ?
Not unless you use an iPhone and record it not too close the speakers
I was fortunate enough to see them when don was in his prime he was a great singer. But unfortunately we all have an expiration date. It hurts to see him like this but he has to pay the bills.
The soundman was turning down Don's mic on purpose for sure lol
Pass me the mic Don...I'll take over!
I'm pretty sure Jeff Pilson is singing the lead vocal on this. At least during the chorus.
Hitch Slap I'm pretty sure your right Jeff was overpowering don on a different song almost sounded better lol
Jeff is in Foreigner
i give them props for this show but man i miss the old days
D'oh! George cant nail the solo anymore. They sound decent. Thanks for posting.
George was dead on with the solo. You may be mistaken, George is always trying to make things a little bit different. He mentioned this in one of his interviews, how the fans are conservative and don't like his new changes. He hasn't lost his ability to solo, he's just making it a little bit different.
He actually played it pretty similar to the way he did in the live in philly video.
Well not every single time he solos, but throughout the years he plays things a little bit different, just to be different.

Im memory Erica Evans
lynch is a beast..
I was a huge Dokken fan during the 80s. This is just horrible. Poor fellows. We all have to get old, and that, and this, makes me very sad.
In fact, only Don Dokken is in pretty bad shape here...
Play that fiddle George....👍👍👍
It's a real pity, because you can hear Don still has great tone in his voice, he just can't hit the high notes. Time is a bitch.
George, on the other hand... Just superb. God, I love his playing.
They had some great songs, and that's their legacy.
Don is singing tasteful and in tone, considering the age and everything that’s a good performance. I’d rather listen to him than some young bands.
George still has it, Jeff sings well, Dont and Mick should make cookies
When 900 years old you are, sing so good you will not.
George #1 ❤️❤️👍
Thank you Twinkie Gurl !!! King George is 🔥 🔥
And yes Lynch is my favorite always has been and always will be!! Facts 🎸 🎸 🎸 LIVING LEGEND 💯 👌 🙌 😎 👏 💪 🔥 PEACE ✌
🤘
Someone please lower don’s mic next time😢❤
Don, it’s over buddy. Dokken was one of my favorite bands in the 80’s. You had a great career but the voice is gone!
I was one of their biggest fans, it's just sad to me to see them like this now. A for effort though
rock on
DOH @2:35 George butchered that...Cool to see the effort though guys and George singing is cool. One of my faves bands in the 80s \m/
George! Shut up and play your electric Twanger!
George's tone sounds very dry. This is not a knock on George and I'm not gonna knock on Don or the rest of them, but it's as though something's wrong with Georgey's rig. Agreed too dry.
😍😍😍😍
ジョージは歳とってもカッコいいな。
wy dint you film he rest of the band
I think george is an amazing guitarist, but if u watch reb beach playing this stuff ,i think reb's playing is alot cleaner! Maybe it was a off night
Matthew Mcintire yeah , I think reb is stronger rhythm player than George. George is trying to do too much here. Just do a straight rhythm part would be better
Best part 3:14
You got the time wrong. The best part is the lynch solo
Axel, are you? hahaha
FUCK!! what the hell just happened?? Sure not the Dokken from the 80's!!
Really? Please don't tell me that time goes ever forward; that people get older and change. How can such a thing be true!?
Can you read numb nuts? The date clearly isn't from the 80's LOLLLL When you figure out how to stop time, let us know clown.
40 years is what happened. Find what your best at in life, well see how good you are in 40 years.
HD?
Не плохо ! 🖒
Don’t like this too loose kinda sad because I have seen many old school metal bands sound just as good as in the 80s on here now bummer
Somebody is out of key.
i think thats the guy posting it
or maybe not
George.
この頃の仲は もう 大丈夫なんかな?
Wow I love George he's a legend but this was not good at all.

Yes George sounded terrible
Didnt even play the solo correctly
Out of tune out of timing dokken sucks

Loose as hell. Very disappointing
