  • This was months of work, with little bits and pieces of video, thrown together. I am super happy with how it turned out, there are some imperfections I missed while sanding, but will show in the next video how I take care of them.

You definately need a real dolly. No way you can succed in getting those corners out if you keep using your hammer as a dolly when dealing with a curved surface. Problems with your bondo aren't the low spots, but the high spots. as soon as metal shows up, it's useless to go on sanding. you either need to add more bondo, or tap down the high spots ( preferably). Apart from that, good work, go on!

Thank you for the advice. The next time, after the first round of sanding down just the primer I will take better care to tap down the high spots yes, they cause all sorts of problems.
If you watch the previous video where I sanded down the door, you will see there was between 2mm and 4mm of bondo on the entire surface, probably because of high spots they wanted to "hide"... I am trying not to do that and minimize the bondo.
