Victoria Ryann Hi Victoria. I’m going to get a blue Quaker I didn’t know they also had blue ones till I saw yours. I just fell in love when I saw yours. The eggs have not hatched yet. I’m waiting
omg I can't believe that woman did that! I had a similar exp at a bird store, there was a guy who asked if I wanted to hold a green cheek & I was like " if its tamed and willing, sure" and he opened a cage and the birds were terrified- he went to GRAB one out & I was like "they are scared, its fine don't force them" and he ignored me, I felt so bad. he said " oh I do it all the time, they don't like to come out" NO WONDER. Destroys any hope or progress of trust when they are forced when scared. it was a mess. I hate "experts" in stores who know nothing lol
Oh my lanta!!! See point proven I totally understand why people are so confused and don't know how to handle birds. When you got people like that misleading others 🙄 poor birbs. Well I guess we will keep doing our jobs and try our best to keep informing others! The world will get better if we keep fighting 😊
Victoria Ryann yes ma’am! It was a disaster & I hatedddd that he was the worker responsible for dealing with bird/customer interactions. Loved the video 💕
I loved this video and always a pleasure to see poples! You explained everything so well and I agree with it all!!!! Our priority is protecting our current birds!
Thank you very much for having your videos out there. And other people who put information out there. I've turned to the web to help me handle my new little birdie. And have found a lot of great information out there thank you all.
Hi Victoria, You are helping so many new bird owners and even birb owners in general, like me, (I'm not a novice) but the way you explain is so elegant , just can't wait for ur videos, always, (Jake's Mom)
Carol, you are always so kind to me. Its definitely refreshing from dealing with the moron bullies of the internet lol I hope I am because there are sooooo many things I wish I knew when I first got a bird. So to be able to help is awesome! I hope you and lil Jakey are having a good week!!!
Great video. It's great that your two birds get along in the same cage but that can change at any time. I always recommend separate cages that go side by side for safety reasons especially if different species. Same species may be okay and different species may be okay but always keep a close eye on them. Never house a small bird with a big bird as you may come home to only one bird sadly. That was strange that the bird store lady did that. Maybe they were baby birds as most baby birds get along until hormones kick in.
I needed this video lool cuz my cockatiel passed away and my green cheek and him never got along. In a few months I definitely want to get another bird. I was thinking of a Quaker to be honest.
Awe I'm sorry about your lil cockatiel. A bird passing away is rough. I may be somewhat biased but Quakers are awesome as long as you enjoy miniature grumpy old men 😅 but my gcc and Quaker are best buds. Good luck with your decision and hoping for you to get through the loss of your cockatiel 😊💕
So sorry bout your cocketial, I'm not an expert but a Quaker sounds like a good addition for you! Working out great for Victoria, so why not, they are very nice
Hi, our beloved Kakatoo j yesterday, she became 38 years old and Im crying non stop. We have an Ara of the same age and she's mourning, heart breaking to see, we give her time but I wonder how long I need to wait to maybe find a compagnon.
Can you do a video on how to tell the difference between bird playing and bird fighting? I have a quaker and a sun conure, and they pick at each other fairly often but don't cause damage. (They have co-existed in the same bedroom for almost a year.) I can't tell if they're roughhousing or actually don't like each other.
Hi, I recently acquired a parakeet from a breeder. And I was told to keep grabbing it and forcibly stroking and petting it until it liked it. After having it 3 days the bird hates me. I have finally given him some respect and space. And he's stepping up nicely now and letting me gently pet him. So moral of the story even if the breed of tells you to molest the bird. No bird wants to be squished in your hands. Breeders don't know it all. Use common sense people.
@@jeffreyspencer6844 thank you very much for the helpful info. Thank goodness for the web! My bird he's doing a lot better now that I have given him respect. Thank you everyone for all of your info and help.
I also want to say, so sorry that the breeder told you that, my goodness! Glad things are coming around for u and your feathered companion, as u have now found out that breeder was wrong, best of birding!
HELP please. Question(s): I have a pineapple conure who is 1 years old (Nebby), and we recently bought a yellow-sided conure who is 3-4 months old (Nova) . We followed the guide on having them in separate cages, and slowly introduced them in a neutral zone. I cant find anywhere a guide of "is it aggressive or play'. Nebby put the baby conure's tails and wings in her beak, but the baby conure did not react. (side note, the baby conure grew up in a cage with other conures, while Nebby did not). So I thought it maybe play? But then, Nebby put the younger conure's beak in her beak, and started doing the regurgitating, quick up and down, behavior. Is this normal? Is this okay? Again, is it play or is it aggression?
Hey! I'm actually making a future video on this. My first initial thought was this is play. What are their genders do you know? Is there any squacking involved during this? When they Bob their head up and down this is play and contentment. Birds often times wrestle and play with each other's beak. The tail thing sounds like the one was simply preening and cleaning the other. If I read all of this correctly... If they aren't squacking and eye pinning thats a good sign. If the wrestling is from the side of the beak and not lunging forward with mouth normal biting position that's a good sign.
I almost rescued a cockatoo but I have a bourke and I was scared on bringing in a larger bird. I think only professional or people who are somewhat experience should do that. He ended up getting a good home anyway. I enjoyed your video this was real good
@@breakingbrandon7541 Maybe you should get a Linnie/Lineolated Parakeet for your Bourke, or another Bourke, or the other grasskeets and Australian parakeets.
my quaker has laid 4 eggs and it seems she will lay more - so i bought a male (atleast I am been told its male) so they can mingle. question : shall I remove the eggs and put them be in same cage? they will fight more but not lesser the new quaker can be in her cage she doesn’t bother. shall i keep both together in one cage in least light exposure?
Girllll macaw and gc😱😱😱 so i have a gc but also have a chihuahua yorkie baby and had two, a pair. my husband bought a German female who literally ate my tiny girl.....
Oh I know right!? I think what's helped with that is it was Yoshi's cage first. So it was like Popples needed acceptance from Yoshi to live there. Plus it was before Popples started to show signs of being territorial.

Wow... That breeder was a little off. Glad things are starting to work out with you and your birb. Sorry you were misled like that!!
That's a total opposite of what I've learned over the years of having birds...
I'll also add, birds are very fragile, and have air sacs all over their body, never squish or squeeze a bird

Yeah I agree or at least someone super patient and willing to put in the work. Thank you so much !!!
That cockatoo probably would have demolished that that little Bourke
@@THEE.apples that is what I'm scared of. The cockatoo instantly bonded with me I wanted to take him home but I feared for my bourkes safety

sterile eggs - i mean
Do you think a Quaker and budgie could live together in the same house (NOT SAME CAGE)
You dropped your marker
😂
Bahahahaha omg I just now noticed that that's going to drive me nuts 😂
You make me wanna go get a job a pet store so I can take care better care of them birds so they can be healthy and go to a good home healthy

That's not nice silly women for doing that
