Wow! I recently started using a Staedtler compass. but not as effective as you did. I like the techniques you used. Thanks so much for sharing. Dug the background tune you too. You made this a complete show.

It is amazing
Amazing ❤️❤️❤️
I love it
Even with guide lines you don't just draw this good takes years of practice 👍
Respectfully, that is false. It doesn't take years to be able to do this. If you understand technique, form, shapes and proportionate detail, anybody with SOME time, can achieve this.
@@nuscholar1979 it depends on how face-blind you are...if youre super face-blind it can take a while to learn the geometric cues that create a recognizable and accurate face...
Great drawing skills
Wow! I love it, but can you please tell us the radius of circle and the other measurements?

@@SketchShade how long does it take to finish the portrait
@@SketchShade Is this woman a model? If so, who is she and where can I find other portraits of her?

I am looking for a very good gray paper for the pencil or charcoal technique. I was using Paint'On Mixed Media - Clairefontaine - gray. This paper turned out to be disastrous because it can discolor. When I covered its fragments with a white sheet and left it for a few days, this fragment turned gray-pink under the influence of sunlight. Is Canson Graduate Media Gray a good paper?
I’ve been drawing for a life time I guess and I believe in using whatever technique works for you but this way does seem like a lot of a phaff, I get the impression that whoever drew this portrait could have made just a good a job without all of the geometric shapes, never-the-less a lovely piece of work, well done 👍
