Cut quality is great. I have been very impressed with how it tackles tall and think grass with what seems like no effort. I installed a stripping kit so I can say how it strips on its own, but if it’s similar to the overall performance so far I a confident I would not be disappointed.
@@MurphyMower We have a friend that works for a fire alarm company and we use the best of the batteries he changes. The one we use are 26AH batteries which do not have a CCA rating. They are an odd size and we have to make some changes to the battery location but they seem to work well and as they do not cost anything, the price is right 🙂
My hustler battery is on its sixth season. My neighbor is on 7th year same battery I asked my dealer if he sold those and he said no. He said the original battery could last 8-10 years, but he said good luck finding one to last that long after the original battery.
So the company I work for just bought this same exact mower not even two weeks old. BOTH front wheel bearings have already went out on both sides just days apart. and we've had to replace them. Now we are having issues with the blades not Spinning correctly
Yeah I’ve had one bearing go out in the 2 years I’ve ran mine and a solenoid (not blaming hustler) I unfortunately had to leave outside for a week or 2. Been great so far though…bearing I figured it was just flook
Great mower and spec for the $. I would be tempted to add a power equipment man air filter upgrade kit to it. The location/style of air filter is the weak link on those Kawasaki fr engines. Speaking from experience from many clogged stock filters on a raptor sd.
I recently bought this same mower and have noticed two issues. First, I have the 22 inch tires and have noticed they have no traction at all, they spin on the least incline. Second, I hear a squeal for a split second when I engage the blades, it didn’t do it when I first starting using it. Any thoughts?
When I engage the blades on any mower, I do it at half throttle and then proceed to go full throttle as it is easier on the belt, and that should help the squeak
As far as the tires are concerned, the ones that are on this unit seem to perform well Maybe let some air out of the tires Just make them the same on each side that should give you better traction
I have a 13 year old FasTrac 36" 2 blade deck with the 16 HP Honda twin cylinder which I bought new years ago. I have since learned this engine was "discontinued" years ago and I have had problems with the carburetor and rectifier along with the Hydro Gear 2200 "sealed" transmissions. Both of which have gone out, replaced, and still can't climb a 5-degree incline. My engine will not turn up over 3000 rpm which causes my mowing pattern to leave a stripe between the blade radii. The best quality of the mower along with the heavy weight is it is built like a TANK!! It is heavy!! I wonder how much it may be worth?
You can repower it no problem. Don't sell it in or scrap it...keep it. Longs as the hydros are ok and hold good pressure. Maybe a cheap Predator repower might help.
Can you tell me if it stripes well? And even cut quality is what I'm most concerned with before I buy. I finally found a 54 after calling 10 dealerships, going this week to sit on it. Thanks again
Apparently some dealers don't set these mowers up. They must come from the factory like that. You think they give them a once-over and adjust them. Make sure the levers are matched straight and tuned etc.
You don't change hydro oil after 50 hours ..not sure who told you that..the regular oil from engine should be changed at 10 hours ..then every 50-100 hours ..hydro oil should be changed every 500 hours ..

It looks like a good machine. We have put some of those batteries on our old garden tractors and so far we are very pleased with them.
Can you get the same size cold, cranking amps as the other ones and is the price really less?

Wow - this is all new to me. I need to find out where I can buy those batteries.

Wow - hopefully it’s covered under warranty

@@benjamingagne9357 well yeah I don’t care what manufacturer It is all of them break down and will have issues that’s just how it is.

Good information. Thanks for watching.
Well done Wes

Thanks for the reply, I put 15 lbs in each tire so hopefully that will help
@@DarrenDay66 let us know how that does😀

What's your opinion now of the mower, looking at the same one, cut quality, does deck rattle when you mow or solid feel? thanks
Still solid with no issues.

been very pleased with everything so far.

Is there a difference in the 2022 and 2023 model?
I’m afraid I did not see a 22 so I could not answer with Accuracy

Yeah- I think that is the way they are shipped
Now, thats a great machine
I like it
Very nice machine !!
For some reason, the 54 inch cut blades had the highest rpm of all of them that hustler makes
Nice beefy looking machine and Hustler has a great reputation 💪🏽. I wonder about these new batteries they running now.
The guy at the dealership was trying to sell us on the idea that they are less expensive and last longer
I suppose time will tell
Awesome machine, should last a long time
All of the hustlers appear to be good machines
I have an xd the oil drain set up is very much in need of redesign get real Hustler research and development!
Some are better than others
Thanks for watching
🎉🎉❤

Typical salesman B.S.
23 horsepower with the blades engaged. ( ...And they bought it.)
I’m not sure about all that, but the specs did show this particular engine with that deck, had higher, RPMs of any of the others, thanks for watching
Higher RPMs at the blades
These two guys know nothing about zero turn lawn mowers
Thanks for watching

This mower is a turd. I've got one and it sux. DON'T BUY ONE
All brands have their set of lemons the most of these have been pretty dependable
Do you mind sharing the issues you’re having
I've had my 3 for 2 years now with no problems
