- On 24 April 2021, I noticed a squirrel crossing a power line with a baby squirrel in its mouth. I pulled out my phone to capture this unusual scene. Mama squirrel wasn't able keep the baby in her mouth and let her drop to the ground. Baby seemed stunned but otherwise unharmed. They were reunited and continued on.
Oh the famous squirrels of Somerset! How I miss them!
I heard a plunk one day in my backyard and saw that a squirrel had fallen from a tall branch of my oak tree and he was knocked out cold! I was afraid he was dead, plus I didn't want my dog and cat who were in the yard with me to get him so I walked over real quick. Then all of a sudden he shook himself out of it and ran off! I was amazed! My dog and cat never did see any of it, so all was well. Of course the squirrel may have had a headache for the rest of the day - ha ha
That's pretty crazy! We don't think of them as losing their balance or making mistakes - but they do!!
Oh my gosh, is the little guy ok after that horrendous fall onto the concrete?
He made it safely!
Was hoping that this didn’t lead to you getting another hole in your hat...and glad both squirrels seemed to be doing alright.
Hey Chris! No, my hat remained unmolested during the filming of this adventure. And to the best of my knowledge no squirrels were injured in this video! Dane
Wow! Perfect timing to capture that. So, squirrels must somehow be related to cats because it looked like it pretty much landed on its feet.🤣 Hey, it's videos like this that go viral. Maybe it will have a million views in a few weeks and that will get you another couple thousand subscribers.
Yes, it was able to right it self and land on its feet.
I was going to upload the video on Facebook and then I thought that I'd just add the music and give it a go on RUclips. It took me a while to find the music that kind of fit, but it was fun!
Yeah, the music is sometimes the most difficult part. Trying to find music that fits the mood you want can be difficult, especially when looking for free, non-copyrigjted music.
I hope he's ok though
Is this the "falling away" spoken of in the Bible?
Could have heard some interesting British-like voiceover. 🤣
LOL
Haha... I'm sure there's a David Attenborough or Bob Ross sound bite out there that would be perfect.
@@GC-kp4tb David is exactly what I'd had in mind. 😉🤣
So what are the religious ramifications of this squirrel not being able to safely carry its baby across a phone line?
I don't know! Maybe it illustrates the *fall* of all creation??
Was that on your property? Oh mo
Yes!
