  • Watch as I repair one of a pair of low-fired ceramic white deer. This is a rather simple repair, and I've made most of it in real time (not sped up, except in the most boring parts).
    Thanks, as usual to Ellen Wight for help with the camera work.

    I really enjoy your videos, thanks for taking the time to make them. Do you add anything to the glue? Can you maybe make a video showing removing old repairs?

    Hi Martin, may I ask what type of glue you did use there? Wood glue? Regarding the tape strips you use, are those fiberglass reinforced tape? If not, what is it exactly as it looks very effective. Thanks a lot.

      Elmer's glue is the adhesive: works great on porous material. The tape is plain old masking tape.

    Hi Martin , may i ask you what type of airbrush do you use for painting ,, ?

      I use several, most of them Iwata brand. My main airbrush is an Iwata HP CH. The brand isn't all that important as long as you use a quality brand.

    I’m curious about the decision to use white glue rather than some stronger epoxy? Is white glue strong enough?

    • @marsgitar
      @marsgitar  2 года назад

      I use white glue for low fired, tight fitting porous materials. It is very strong.

    I’d love to know what the cost is to repair these items ?

      I think this one was in the neighborhood of $150 U.S. dollars.
