- I love Manchester, and one of the best places in the city is West Didsbury. It has so many quirky little shops and bars. This is my guide to Burton Road and the heart of West Didsbury village.

I grew up in Withington off Burton Rd. I went to Cavendish Rd school, collected my first conkers from Cav Rd Park and scored my first weed from The Met pub when it was know as The Midland. The clientele was somewhat different in those days. It's quite amazing to see how the area has changed. The benefits of gentrification!

Best road in West Didsbury and Didsbury for sure, I live right in the middle of it and have done for 5 yrs, never tire of the place!
I love the place. So many things fit into so little space.
Oh wow ,I used to live on Burton road, my parents used to have a newsagents there ,I thinks it's a thai restaurant now☹,and I used to have menswear shop now another restaurant!☹on god how I miss Manchester,
I've only been to Manchester once but it was only to stay in a hotel overnight because our flight was cancelled! I'd love to explore Manchester more one day though! :)
You should. There's loads of former little villages that are their own communities in the city, all with their own character.
