- We are off travelling the Philippines with Isabella (our teenage daughter) to give her an idea of where she will be living for a couple of years and also a family vacation. It's certainly a vacation we will never forget!...

Love the beautiful capiz lamps at the hotel. Wow could you really see how windy it was! Ginger chews may help for sea sickness. I get motion sickness as well. I’ve also gotten a doctor’s prescription for scopolomine patch to wear behind the ears during sea travel and that helped tremendously. Happy family vacation! 🌞🫶🏼

It really is! Even with a storm and high wind it doesn't matter. We love it there 😊
Fabulous resort. I vote with Adam, prefer the higher floors with the views. No noise from peeps above stomping or running about in middle of night either. To me, only drawback of upper floors is fire. When the kids are small ie under 9 or so, that’s only time I preferred ground floor near pool. When they got bigger, , it was fine to walk a bit & have views & none of the pool hectic-ness.

That was a bit of a choppy sea, evet when boarding.i suspect that in addition to her vertigo, Jane was also nervous because she is more awat of how many ferry accidents there are in the Philippines.
Thankfully you made it Cebu safely, despite the damage to the boat and got to your lovely hotel.
It was probably the roughest we have experienced. Even more so than when we came back from Bohol last year. It was so rough i couldn't even film it but just hold on. Something definitely broke under the floor in the boat.

I came from a coastal zone in the northern Philippines on Bataan Peninsula y had not that deep sea water experience but I hated it btw we had trawlers or motorized fishing boats( I didn’t fish but had workers so)y my buddy had the largest size that fish around the Philippines’ seas from north to south…I got motion sickness lol even in vehicles that’s on a zigzagging road lol😅 y I puke every time…that was in the 60’s😂…ty guys

I was waiting for some coverage of the crossing, but that didn't come. I had two bad crossings myself last time I came to Ormoc but I can only imagine that this one must have been worse, as there were already big waves in the harbour. I'm looking forward to the day that I can fly from Cebu (or Manila) to Ormoc. Have a nice vacation, my friends!
Thanks Paul. No joke, it was so bad I couldn't even film as had to hold on with 2 hands. It lasted about 2 hours of the trip and especially bad near Camotes Islands. It was fortunate we made it as seems the boat was damaged as was taken out of service quickly after. Still it's ok and definitely we would travel by Ferry again 😊

@@AdamandJanesLifestyle I'm glad you all made it to Cebu alive! One of these days I expect a terrible tragedy with one of these vessels and I can only cross my fingers that I won't be on it when that happens.
Poor Jane didn't seem to enjoy that ferry at all, I want to try riding one at least once but since airfare is cheap there I would likely fly between islands. Can't wait to get back there in Nov. Hope the typhoon didn't make your trip too bad.
Jane was feeling a little dizzy at the start but fine afterwards. It was an experience for sure. We hope the airport near us opens soon as a short flight would be better. Have a great day 😊

Yes it was. We booked a hotel for our family vacation before Isabella goes back to school. Jane really wanted to go as did we all. If anything I was the one not sure if we should travel but I'm glad we did. Thank you 😊

There is a good treatment you do at home for vertigo. You lay on the bed and turn your head from side to side holding in each position for 2 mins. Im sure there is a video about it. It works for me. Crystals in her middle ear are out of wack.

It probably was worse at some stages but i didn't film as was holding on hard but it was ok. Just lasted for most of the journey. Health insurance is such a complex topic. We would answer more in a video as there are lots of considerations. Have a great day my friend 😊

OK, I can tell they think you crazy..........
They know I was joking... It was a VERY bumpy ride with lots of big waves. At one point the boat seemed to suffer damage and it turns out it did as was out of action later in the week for repair.

We viewers always comment this, but Isabella is truly STUNNING. I not even actually knowing her but enjoying viewing your family for a while now, hate to think of her going far away from home, but if she were to school in Manila; she could perhaps pursue concurrent modelling or TV ads, etc…But maybe that world is not her calling. Pros & cons to that world, for sure.
P.s. I found it cute how Mama & daughter styled similarly with black tops & pink and lilac backpacks-stuffed full! Good packing though, all backpack-efficient. Isa’s pants with one leg with the print looked very chic! 🐥
