Yep,in private ryan the bags were indeed clear,but contemporary black n white pics do show some bags a darker shade....speaking about private ryan theres something missing from the assault scene....none of the soldiers are wearing m26 life belts!!!..which will be the subject of a video uploaded later.

They tend to get some interesting stuff in quantity..which keeps the retail price down.
Funny enough I bought a whole box of these years ago and sold them on eBay, the ones I had were dated January 1944.
I think the green bags can be found dated 43 to 45

It's an interesting item ,wouldn't mind the pistol and machine gun types,but they are harder to find
