100+fps?? I'm struggling to hit 60 with a 4070ti at 1440, DLSS on RT off. Nothing I do changes anything, Low to high settings all give 50-60fps no matter what and it feels like a choppy mess. I don't know what changed between when I first installed a few weeks ago (I was getting 80+ max settings + RT) and now, but this is insane.
I havent touched this game since making a few videos about it, but it's highly likely some updates impacted performance negatively. Wouldnt be surprised. This game is also very CPU limited, what CPU do you have?
@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews I see.. I have a 10900k. 15th gen performance will dictate whether I upgrade to a 13th gen or not. Performance difference between the 13 and 14 gens seem pretty negligible. This game in particular also has my cpu hitting 100c with fresh thermal paste and a Noctua d15 so, I'm probably just gonna drop it honestly. It's a shame, I really enjoy playing it too.
Do you know how hard your CPU is throttling? Could be the reason for your lower than usual framerate. Yeah, very little difference between 13th and 14th gen. I only bought the 14600KF as it was cheaper than the 13600KF at the time.
Don't know if this tells if the CPU is throttling or not, but task manager says SS is using 50-70% CPU usage while playing, and around 50-55% GPU. HWMonitor clocks CPU temps at 80-90C average, 8 of 9 cores spiked to 100C in the little 5 min test I just did, running, jumping, grenades and Boomerang traversal abilities around the city. Actually had a decent 70fps when I was way above ground, but averages 55 at rooftop level. CPU core clock speeds between 4800 and 5300, according to HWM.
4.8Ghz seems normal yeah, but the cores downclock when they hit 100C, which will result in a loss of performance. If your boost clock stays at 4.8Ghz though I dont think that's causing your lower framerate. It could just be that heavy and the older 10th gen struggles a bit. Wouldve tested this if I had a 10th gen, but unfortunately the only one I have is an i5 10500, so nit going to be very helpful.

The hate train is definitely exaggerated. I get why some people dont like it, but it is very easy for others to just jump on that train and ride it into the ground. If you like it, that's great. If you dont like it, that's also great, but let others enjoy what they find enjoyable. (Obviously not talking about you here specifically 😀)
@@MrEditsCinema Some people claim it stays above 100 fps, but I have seen videos from these same people where it drops into the 70's still. The average is about 20% higher, but the CPU bound drops still occur, and still to a large degree unfortunately.
I have i7 12700kf 32 gb of ram ,rtx 4070 rog strix .I play on 1440p with dlss quality and once during fights fps goes below 60fps, Missing frame genration is a shame as well, not sure if my rig is not working proply or game isnt that good optimilazed? I dont even speak abut rtx on, with that fps goes below 40 :)
Yeah, I have seen instances of it dropping below 60 as well even without RT. The CPU is struggling to keep up in this game, but it shouldnt be THIS demanding. Hopefully they can patch this soon.
Nah, it should, it's a great CPU still, more than capable of keeping an RTX 4070 used to its maximum potential at 1440p in most modern games. Game definitely needs some work.
ray tracing performance reminds me of hogwarts legacy where you would get cpu bound regardless of the cpu model.. i think all unreal engine 4 games with RT on have the same issue..
Yeah indeed. It's a brand new GPU by the way 😔. Will open and repaste it soon, it usually resolves the issue with these entry-level model GPUs like the Palit Dual and Zotac etc. Appreciate the heads-up 👍

I get 90-120 fps on my 3070 and 13-600k. My biggest issue is ram, game uses 14.5gb of my 16gigs🤣. I play on a mix of high and medium settings at 1080p
