Oh good grief. Children are to be seen and not heard. That is drastic but when you are out to watch with your mom and her friend that's how it work. My niece threw up at the dinner table when my dad and I took her out to eat and the two of us were talking. Kids are way too spoiled today. She was fine afterwards. She wasn't getting attention and found a way to real fast 😮

Just saw a touching interview of Drew with Steven. She said he was the first person who cared about her. He said she is his train wheel to fatherhood. Heart warming bond between two deserving human beings.
Probably still my favorite actress. She had a rough childhood. Ended up in rehab at 13 for drug addiction then almost ruined her career. She made it somehow despite all the crap that happened and now she has her own talk show. She's still gorgeous as ever too! ❤❤❤

Drew was 4/5 years old when she starred in "Altered States" in 1980...Steven Spielberg recently called her the "Blonde Hurricane" when she was in his office in 1981 for the E.T. interview but what followed is downward spiral into drinking in 1983 and I don't know if it was her father or her mother who got her hooked on cocaine in 1987 (I'm sure I read somewhere that she was sharing the cocaine needle with her father or mother) but Drew herself said that if she hadn't entered rehab at the age of 14 in 1989, she probably would have been dead by the time she reached 15 or 16...how her mother could let this happen to her own daughter is beyond me...I seem to remember an interview with Drew in the late 1990s where she blamed her mother and stated that she was non-existent in their mother/daughter relationship.

I’ve seen several interviews of her young and she seems very prepped, staged and rehearsed. She was constantly “on” which is entertaining but slightly concerning. Now she seems very off, I’ve seen clips from her talk show. She seems SO phony. Ridiculously over the top with her expressions and actions. It just doesn’t come across as sincere. As a CPTSD survivor myself, I can recognize problems and she has a lot of them. Pretty heartbreaking, actually.

When I watched SNL in the mid 80s, some of the things they said were shocking and just wrong. A lot of sexual innuendos, or distasteful jokes. But most of it was hilarious. I miss the original cast. They were legends and there was some great bands who performed. Fun memories 😊❤
