Hi everyone , here is the latest episode hope you enjoy it. The Thomas Croxton of Ravenscroft I refer to in the film is a colonel in the parliamentarian army around 1650. He was born in 1603 and died in 1663. He is the son of George Croxton of Ravenscroft. Feel free to do some digging and let me know if you find anything...The Croxton line gets a little confused with Ravenscroft and this threw me off the trail for a while. Forgot to add - the historical research is great to see. Always had a love of history, and it is fascinating really that such information can still be traced today.
I wonder what future historians will say about our recent generations- too much information uploaded?! 🤨⁉️

i love the research side of it too, I tend to think that everything should be on the internet but there are huge swathes of history that just havent been uploaded , I think future generations will have everything at their finger tips...

I’ve watched your channel and a few other painting conservator videos. What I see is the same types of principles with slightly different techniques sometimes, but always a passion to do it right and what is best for the painting. So brilliant to watch, thank you 🙏 🖼️🎨👨‍🎨🫶

I’m hoping that all that overpaint is unnecessary and these a nice background or signature …?😬

I think we have to be grateful to the owners of this portrait that it means enough to have it come to you to be repaired. I can't wait to watch the entire process. Happy New Year and I joined on patreon 😊

Youre already getting paid to work on the Art. Are you splitting the money with the owner of the Art?

    • @Bloomfield_Art_Restoration
      @Bloomfield_Art_Restoration  7 месяцев назад +3

No but the filming and editing process takes so much time that the restoration process takes so much longer. RUclips pays very little in comparison to the amount of time the videos take. I’m just looking to find a balance between creating the films and keeping my business running . I like making the videos and would love to be able to make more …

@@Bloomfield_Art_Restoration Have you been told by YT to do this and to do that and this and that makes more views? A lot of ppl have been conned by YT that they can make a fortune if they spend a fortune on production. It works for .00001% of creators. Do what you want to do. If you do anything on here to make money as a side business be aware of the massive YT con.
YT pays hundreds of Psychologists to steer people so that YT can make money.'
They dont care if you spend 30k on cameras and lights and pay an Editor who knows nothing about your business. No matter what you make the YT Algorithm compares digitally what you have produced ans compares it to other videos, gives it a score of x/100 and promotes your video accordingly. Then in real tine YT looks at views and length and clicks and moves your video around the Search category world until it finds its fit then views drive the promotion. You are in a specific niche and that puts you miles behind a Cat video.
Sorry no offense but these are the facts.
Then Patreon and all manner of platforms just take OUR money and YOUR money.
What are you left with 30% net after tax?
Well YT and Patreon they make 90% after tax.
If you want to fund this video hobby you need to double up. Create a web site and all money donated in support goes to you.
Anyone who donates by whatever means ONCE on YT is then directed to the website that pays SFA commission. If they want an ongoing subscription they pay there.
Post your vids on YT and your own site.
Not many people understand how much YT and Patreon etc take and Creators have been conned into anything is better than nothing.
People have been conned into making TV quality videos and copping all the costs but they dont get paid TV quality royalties.
You own nothing for your efforts.
I can copy all of your videos and host them on a site and theres nothing you can do about it. I can be you and theres nothing you can do about it. You will go broke trying to track me down to Sue me.
      Thats how it works mate.
You dont work for yourself youre enslaved.

@@Bloomfield_Art_Restoration have long been a fan of Baumgartner Restoration, of which I'm sure you're aware. Was very happy to see another similar channel and look forward to seeing more of your work! If there's anything you can do to stop the sound of the very loud creaky floorboards coming through on the video that would be great. A lot of youtubers use a script to keep the dialogue flowing, which would really cut down on the distracting umming and erring.
