Ren's album Freckled Angels needs to be everywhere now that he's blowing up 2023. It so bloody amazing. He's the best musician/artist/poet I've discovered in over 20 years. He's an inspiration, a treasure, and much needed in today's society. I wish his treatment for Lyme's Disease in Canada is 100% successful and that he goes on to live a long, full, and satisfying life that fills us all with his continued music. His light is needed to help push back the darkness. Peace and love to all of my fellow brothers and sisters who read this.
My 4 children just buried there dad 2 days ago. We are all going heavily through our feels. Sadly, multiple fights have happened. I needed this song to remind me that we will work through this pain in time. 💔

I've lived with chronic depression for a quarter of a century since the diagnosis, and in that time there have been a lot of ups and downs. Some periods where medication worked well. Some where I thought it was working and symptoms crept up on me one by one. Some where I was entirely desolate and alone in my mindscape, divorced from reality. Hearing this song can literally bring me to tears, not for the sadness of those times but because it feels like a comforting, understanding, knowing, and loving hand reached out to the part of me that lives through those times. It reminds me of that pain, but also reminds me of the light that I need to see and feel to take my life with both hands and pull my way out of it. It's a thing of beauty, raw and simple and perfect.
Sometimes I just need to hear 'it's alright, it's alright, it's alright' 🙏
I’ve been going through some pretty heavy thing’s recently. This song simultaneously breaks me and then puts me back together. It’s like a hug that gives you permission to cry, it’s like a warm blanket that gives security and hope. Thank you, Ren. I know everything will be alright, in the end.
I'm a 58yr old piss head and misfit (not all by choice) and probably shouldn't be allowed to listen but this song has so much depth and meaning I wish something like this was produced so long ago, maybe wouldn't be where life is now. Please please keep this music going.

My struggles are minor to most but I am human and have some. This song actually takes me away from myself and I empathize for everyone else then fills me with hope for a better tomorrow for anyone who needs it. I pray for all those who know loss, addiction, pain, and illness to see a good end to all of it. In hi Ren he says his music is connected and the people who find it respect it. I respect it because it connects me to the world. This is by far still my favorite Ren song.
Can we all give this guy praise he went through tough times and preserved threw them and made music during these times that help me and so much others get through there tough times

Diving into the Ren rabbit hole. Why it’s taken 8 years to discover this beautiful song makes me a little sad. It’s timeless and so relevant to anyone that has had hardships in life. I can’t help but think of my dysfunctional childhood and the struggles getting through those difficult times. Music can be so healing. I’m so thankful to have discovered Ren’s music. I hope Ren finds continued success and joy in the art he gives to people. 💗

You're so damn versatile. From songs that tell intricate tales, to lyrical mindblasters filled with grit to feel dood songs that are just beautiful to listen to.
It's so funny, I usually wait a couple days and the listen to 1 or 2 Ren tracks I haven't listened to yet. There's been a couple that I don't connect with, a couple. There's been a couple that rezonate in ways I don't wait to relive so after one listen I avoid them although none of the few I don't vibe with are bad... But everything else... Hits me in a place so deep and so hard and on so many levels, I find myself just sitting there for a minute or two just to gather my thoughts. Like this one.

Hi, I'm learning guitar and send all songs with samples to my mentor. I now have to train Bare Accords to play this song and it really hurts and I can't train it as long as I want to, but it gets better from time to time and I love training it to an actual song.
And I completely butchered the strumming into a similar but simpler version so I don't have to worry until I play the Bare effortless.
Don't know if you read this cause the release is 5 years ago, but I wanted you to now that Artist like you keep my passion for learning guitar.

Seriously, thank you for all that you do. I've made efforts to become a better musician as I deal with my own medical issues that have kept me not feeling well a lot of the time. Uncontrollable epilepsy, fun 🤣 I sure understand what you've been through Ren. However, I have time on my hands & I've been singing & playing more. My big brother left me a little bit of $ before he left for heaven in January. A sound engineer in Vancouver, who worked the club scene & more for over 20 years! I'm pretty sure my big brother would want me to buy an 88 key, hammer action, electronic piano ☺️ Singing & playing guitar is great. I'm an excellent vocalist but I've always wanted a piano again & I'm doing it. I wouldn't be here right now if I didn't find you. The inspiration & motivation from you is so helpful. Can't wait to get those fingers on those keys! ✌️💙🎵
