    Wow - this dude has the head movements of a Baryshnikov. Dancers forget how much head placements finish a line or gesture or step.

    • @ntricker
      @ntricker 10 месяцев назад +4

      Absolutely. Too many dancers (mostly male, it has to be said) forget the importance of the use of the head for both line and added expression. It’s something I have always loved about Vadim’s dancing (as well as everything else!). He has a beautiful long neck, which also helps.

      It's called "épaulement" and it's to do with the angle of your shoulders/upper body to the audience and simultaneously the opposing angle of your head to your shoulders. Difficult to describe but, yes, Muntagirov demonstrates the art to perfection. (Emmanuel Thibaut, Paris Opéra Ballet, is known as the "master of épaulement").

      @@elizzy8754 yep difficult describe as delicate and makes a big difference. Fonteyn and Carla Fracci had it perfectly

    He’s beautiful, and so graceful and tall. His lines are elegant and he is a real pleasure to watch. His technique is nearly perfect. And I love what I can see of his personality from the interviews. He seems to be humble and sweet. However, for me, he is just missing that secret sweet Sergei sauce that Polunin brings to the stage every time I see him dance! God bless both of them and keep them safe! 🩷🩷🩷. I can’t wait to see more of Vadim the Dream! 🥰

    • @classicalaid1
      @classicalaid1 2 месяца назад

      Polunin has a dangerous, unpredictable side. Muntagirov is saner, more grounded and less needy. Keep in mind Polunin has three tattoos of Putin across his chest.
      Pathetic. It speaks volumes of who is living rent free in his head. I would trust Muntagirov with the key to my home. Polunin.....are you kidding???

      True. It makes it really difficult to see the perfection of Muntagirov's dancing. I know it's supposed to be a "military" uniform but is it really in character? I don't know how anyyin seats at the back or top of the theatre sees anything.

    If you are already dancing solo then the 5th position, why not the 5th position? There are basic rules.It would be good if classical ballet would return to the principle that it is not important how many tours it does, but that what it does should be precise and clean according to the rules. For an opera singer, it's not just how loud he is, but how clear the voice that comes out of his throat is.
