My grandfather worked for NASA in the 60's and 70's. He worked on the design team to build the air stream that they used to quarantine the astronauts after they came back from space. When I was a teenager my family went to the Space Center a few years after my grandfather had passed away. We were in one building and were looking at lots of huge photographs of the different Apollo missions. We turned the corner and there was this huge photograph and right in the middle was my grandfather! It was amazing. My mother, her brother and sister, and my grandmother were all there. It was so wonderful to see that. We were there to remember him and there he was. Another favorite memory was having my grandfather take us down to the launch pads and getting to climb on the steps of the rocket transport vehicles. My mother still has a picture of me when I was about 6 (I won't tell you how old I am now) standing on the steps. Those were huge! Thanks for showing us the Space Center. It always brings me wonderful memories of my grandparents.
Tim, so nice to meet you at the Kennedy Space Center Saturday. That was an awesome surprise!!! My shy boy likes watching you and Jenn too. For all your fans, Tim is much taller than he looks on a tablet. Very chill to talk to as well. Thanks for all the travel tips thru the years including Dollywood which my family loved. Wish I could make that cinnamon bread too. Congrats again to you on soon becoming a father- it is awesome. Thanks for including us in your vlog too!!!!!!!
Let's just say, everything in space floats. Everything. So you gotta turn the vacuum on in the toilet so everything gets sucked down. Water waste is reused and turned into drinking water. Same reason they used the Tang to drink so it wouldnt taste as bad. Compost is stored then disposed of.
The windows rattling during the Apollo 8 launch re-creation was an awesome detail. That alone would make me want to visit the Space Center, but the whole place looks awesome!
I love when Tim goes to places like this. I live about 2 hours away and now really want to take the kids there! I would have thought my young kids would find it boring but now seeing the inside they would enjoy it.
This place is amazing! I really need to take some time and go there during my next visit to Florida!! YUMMY!!!! peanut butter and chocolate in ice cream, YES PLEASE!! Looked so so so good! Thanks for sharing!
I've never been to Kennedy Space Center, but this makes me want to go! So interesting to see the Apollo 1 exhibit and memorial. My grandma knew those three men and other astronauts from her job, and never liked to talk about any of it because it was so sad.
Beautiful historical experience. Sad thinking the three astronauts in Apollo 1 were sitting there overwhelmed with emotion on how they will have a chance to go to space and witness the beauty of it, but sadly they didn't get that chance. Nice how they honor those men
I think, luckily, they had been to space before each. One of them worked on the Gemini missions before apollo 1 for certain. He performed the first space walk. I think it was White, may have been Roger however.
Hi Tim & Jenn You guys should try to go to the John & Mable Ringling Museum here in Sarasota Florida, I've been there many times. The Museum even has all types of art and the winter home of John & Mable Ringling
@@savannahhendrickson685 Yeah it's a perfect place to enjoy a day I believe Mondays are free but the Mansion tour is separate price and the Circus Museum The grounds & the Art buildings are free entry only on Mondays
Yes! We’re in Lake County and hubby and I visited two summers ago and loved it! We keep saying we’re going to visit again. It was fascinating and fun. That would make an awesome vlog!
I love Alan Bean's art! He uses actual moon equipment and moon dust in his art. Did you know Apollo 12 would have been in serious trouble if it wasn't for Beano knowing what "SCE to AUX" meant, right after the spacecraft got hit by lightning seconds after launch! Google him!
What a fun NASA adventure day 👍. We love NASA and we recommend it to everyone because it is fun, exciting and a learning adventure. Thank you for sharing. We love you kids 💕🐶🍼
Thank you Tim and Jenn for sure this was a wonderful video. Nasa is impressive and absolutely amazing. Truly an American scientific and engineering masterpiece. I truly teared up listening to your explanation about Apollo 1 and Space Shuttle tragedies. Truly all the astronauts who lost their lives will always be remembered and our salute to them.
Thank you Tim for the update of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex it looks like you are having a great time up there and the food looks great to eat
Come see us in Huntsville at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center! We also have a rocket park and great exhibits. Plus, Space Camp! (And Space Shuttle Pathfinder!)
I went to the kennedy space center in 6th grade (2006!) And I remember seeing the rocket garden and Saturn V rocket. It was such a fun day, thanks for sharing!
Definitely want to visit when we come down for Disney! We actually live in Huntsville where a lot of the rockets and equipment are built. The Davidson center at our Space and Rocket Center also have a Saturn V rocket inside to get the full idea just how massive it truly is. We love going! It is insane that they had this technology in the 60s, but that is a huge and awkward thank you to Von Braun.
My husband and I have discussed visiting the Space Center and your video just sold us on the idea! Thank you for covering such wonderful places to visit in addition to your amazing park vlogs.
Well done man. Thanks for the tour. I live in North Florida, need to get down there and check it out. It's Amazing the technology in the 60's and 70's.
The first time I experienced the Apollo room presentation, I cried. It was so emotional for me. I wasn't born when it happened in real like but I dreamt my entire life of watching a launch in real life. It was close enough for me. It was amazing.
Thanks for this! I'm a Boeing brat. I'm proud to say that my father, an optical physicist, worked on the Lunar Orbiter program. In 1966 he and the crew were responsible for the first "Earthrise" photographs. He also was part of the team that produced me later that year.
I'm so glad to see Kennedy Space Center adding things and just getting more awesome. Everything up to 17 mins in was new to me I last went in 2001. Then things were more familiar with some new mixed in.
Thank you so much for doing this video. Haven’t been back since 1992. Visited with people who worked on various components of the shuttle. Mid blowing! Now that my sons are older can’t wait to take them back there!!!
I got the chance to meet tim last Thursday right before my first halloween horror nights and what an awesome fella! So sorry I was so awkward Tim because I was so caught off guard but thank you for being such a kind soul! I was so star struck I forgot to get a picture lol
You're so lucky! I have yet to meet him despite frequenting the theme parks often, considering I live in Orlando... I feel like id be so damn akward though!
Many of the Apollo items are (were) operational and could be filled with fuel and launched. Program was cancelled before usage. In mid-1960s, they started building everything with the idea of 1-2 launches of Apollo missions PER MONTH. The Vehicle Assembly building was sized to stack three rocket systems at once.
Greetings from Canada My husband and myself went to this center last vacation in Florida. It was amazing and so much more to see than the last time we were there. Love you guys xoxo 🚀🚀🚀🚀☀️🌚🌓💜💛💚
Oh Tim! Made my day! "uhh.... well ya see.... it's a vaccum... uhhh.... well..." ahh the joys of having a family friendly channel and keeping in mind that fact while trying to explain the grossness of a space toilet!
Loved seeing this. I remember KSC Visitor Complex from school field trips and it’s certainly changed with lots more stuff. Definitely stopping by the next time I’m back in town.
Wow this brings back some great childhood memories. My mom used to work at KSC and she would take my brother and I to the visitor center almost every weekend when i was living in Port St. John. I live in Cali now. Watching your videos always puts a smile on my face! Cause it reminds me of home back in good ol sunshine state of FLA. Keep it up with awesome videos! I hope to run into you guys one day at a theme park! Congrats on the baby! 😄👍 #nowitstimetopaytheprice
Thanks so much for this video! I'll be heading over to Florida end of next year and I've added a visit to NASA to my trip. Really interesting and inspiring.
It’s 2 years tomorrow since we went to the space centre, such an amazing day out, but we didn’t get to see everything. One day we will go back and finish it off! Thanks for sharing this video!
Gotta get there someday. Growing up in the 70’s I was really interested in the Space program. Would love to see this stuff in person. Thanks for the preview!!
Ever since seeing your story on Instagram over the weekend I was looking forward to this video. My wife and I went over for her bday in January. It was absolutely amazing and breathtaking. Want to go back again soon. The video does not do it justice. Even driving up to the complex and seeing the boosters in the distance is a bit intimidating.
Its interesting how the space toilet works. It is all about the alignment and proper seal for suction. Getting ready for no gravity makes this a training intense process.
Right! I always think it’s funny, because you can see how much his filming skills have improved and how much more Disney knowledge he has now. But the way he speaks to the camera and his delivery etc are all exactly the same!! It just shows that it really is people connecting with Tim and Jenn and their personalities that draws people in and keeps them coming back ☺️.
We still have astronaut ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, and strawberries available in our gift shops. That's also where most of our space themed food is too.
Wow always intense feeling when seing parts of the original artifacts that dealt with tragedy. And how it gave future NASA the technology to make the next capsule better. Sad. And seeing the piece of challenger is just amazing.
6:11 I love how Tim is trying to find a way to explain the tube while being totally kid friendly lol😂
Same
Then at 10:26 he tries two creamy brown balls. :P
I think he was just having fun lol

Bahahahahaha Tim trying to explain the space toilet was hilarious!!!! 🤣
I’ve never been so on the edge of my seat then I was when Tim was describing the space toilet.... what happens?!? Lol 😂😂
Let's just say, everything in space floats. Everything. So you gotta turn the vacuum on in the toilet so everything gets sucked down. Water waste is reused and turned into drinking water. Same reason they used the Tang to drink so it wouldnt taste as bad. Compost is stored then disposed of.
Love how flustered Tim gets when trying to explain how to use a space toilet 😂😂😂
Tim kept saying “space bucks” but all I could hear was Schrute bucks 😂
Me too😂
1000 equals an extra 5 minutes in space :D
Can I use my Schrute bucks to pay for my stay at Schrute Farms? We'd like to stay in the Irrigation Room.
I just kept hearing "1 Million Space Bucks" from Space Balls.
WildeNight lol yeah that’s what my husband said too
I have to agree Tim, one of the most interesting places in Florida to visit, kinda blows my mind, Thankyou for the update x
Wow history .
The 3 astronauts story moves me every single time it's shared.
6:00 And here we have a preview of Tim trying to explain toilet training to his new child X3
The windows rattling during the Apollo 8 launch re-creation was an awesome detail. That alone would make me want to visit the Space Center, but the whole place looks awesome!
It would be cool if Disney were able to incorporate those " take the first step " panels into the renovation of epcot.
I love when Tim goes to places like this. I live about 2 hours away and now really want to take the kids there! I would have thought my young kids would find it boring but now seeing the inside they would enjoy it.
So cool Tim! Thank you so much for sharing all of your fun adventures! :) I hope everyone has a great day!
There are so many cool things to do in Florida is something I have learned from Tim. But, I still always just go to Disneyworld haha
"Why don't they just make the roads outta these things?" I love Tim solving the energy crisis. It's why Tim is best.
The awkwardness of the space toilet explanation: AMAZING LoL!!!!
Way back in elementary school we went to space camp at the Kennedy Space Center and we got to sleep under one of the rockets! 🚀🚀🚀
Impressive; most impressive. Wow I wish I could go there; I was such a space geek when I was a kid! Wonderful.
So much space for activities!
This is the only channel On RUclips that I cannot understand how anyone could hit the dislike button? TTT does such a great job with every video.
The best Florida Travel channel, love Tim’s knowledge, hard work and light hearted spirit.
I love these types of places, my dad was in the Navy so we’d always go to this Navy Museum in CT.
THE CANADA ARM!! 5:13!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
This place is amazing! I really need to take some time and go there during my next visit to Florida!!
YUMMY!!!! peanut butter and chocolate in ice cream, YES PLEASE!! Looked so so so good!

Thanks for the tour. I wish had a LOT more vacation time!!! So wonderful to see. ths again
Going there on Sunday can’t wait to see it all
Thank you Tim for the update of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex it looks like you are having a great time up there and the food looks great to eat
Yes!! Road trip! Love Kennedy Space Center, it's so cool. We were out there back in August and even in that heat I still got goosebumps!
NASA space center is amazing thanks for sharing Tim.
6:02 is what time is going to sound like when he has "the talk" with his future kid

The best tour I’ve ever had there was with my Grandpa who worked there for many years. He has the best stories that they will never tell you.

I quote by Neil Armstrong "one small step for man,one giant leap for mankind"...
That art was pretty awesome!
The Atlantis reveal is amazing.
I was hoping the food would be actual astronaut food or at least space-themed! :(
That'd be so cool to try! Their meals are a lot more advanced now and apparently quite tasty.

Wow I have not been there in many years and it looks awesome ....time to visit again
Kennedy Space Center! Love that place.
