Nice to see an honest video about this kind of event - it really looks like the most enjoyable things were not to do with the con itself. I can't see much beyond the artist alley that would be that engaging and the most fun part of the vid was in the tavern. Conventions are a good idea for a group activity, but if the most fun is had at a pub then it puts the event into perspective. There are other options for online friends to do as a big meetup that don't require hours of queueing for merch that go unnoticed imo. Go-karting is great, carnivals/funfairs can be a laugh, internet cafes/arcades etc. Conventions can be really hit or miss and waiting hours for your pass to then queue for a beer is a hard sell. 😅 Glad to see you had some fun though and, most importantly for an event like this, got to meet up with/see people you might not have otherwise.
Ive gone to all the US Twitchcons. Its my favorite time of the year and I can wait till San Diego this year! My favorite part is the Partner panels where you can talk 1 on 1 with the devs and hear upcoming features/give feedback. Happy to hear you had a good time!
You're absolutely right. Not a place to network unless you knew somes mates. I agree the queues were nuts. Twitch Rivals I think was the worst. We waited an hour and still didn't get in. The outdoor was absolutely savage! Never saw the tavern! That looked savage! Was great getting to meet ya and your mates! Great video and vlog 🤘
even with the THICC queues, you’ve definitely convinced me to go next year!! i hope to meet you there :D watching you and kev try to keep your balance KILLED me hahaha
cons are to go hang out with your online friends IRL. For twitch it's to meet your community and meet your streamer friends IRL. That's it. It's getting deeper connections with people you are already connected with.
They need to take some ideas from BlizzCon. They have gone through many of these growing pains throughout the years and it’s a lot smoother. Queues will happen every time. That’s inevitable. But, they should have more stuff to do to help lessen the queues.
Appreciate the vid ... think based on your review i will save my money and not attend Vegas 2023 TC.... Prolly more of the same experience as you had just different city with prolly even worse queues hahaha
Was this the first twitch con? I definitely don't like the idea of people being segregated between Affiliate and Partner :( Seems like a bad idea all around.

“Would You tier 3 to me kevin?”
“NO, I do enough for you.”
I feel like this conversation and attitude sums up your friendships haha
Accurate lol
Is this what it looks like when you film in 60fps and then post in 30fps?
The next will be in Amsterdam again ? Nice videos man ! 🍻

Nope! Its been running a few years! Yeah seems a lot of people felt that way!
As a dutch person who's been to alot of dutch events I have to say that when I went to twitchcon they once again lived up to their chaotic standards-
😂😂
