Woo-hoo!!! Thank you for this! Please do more of the 60s era and Dylan or The Beatles as I feel you have really interesting insights into that style. I suggested Dylan a month or so ago in the comments and am so happy you've done one

Thank you for doing this! Bob Dylan was constantly asked to explain his song lyrics & his answers were intentionally ambiguous. Like so many great artists, he wanted people to come up with their own interpretations & meanings. I find him a great songwriter & lyricist. His voice requires patience to become accustomed to hear.

Maybe the answer is blowing in the wind and it won’t come down till the wind calms down.
Maybe the answer has been right in front of us this whole time but the turmoil and turbulence of our minds makes us blind and deaf to it.
Maybe like a lake that you can’t see the bottom of while it’s windy and wavy until a calm is reached and the water is still, maybe just like that we can’t see the answer until we in the mind are calm still and mindfully observant.

I think what Bob Dylan meant by saying "the answer is blowing in the wind" is that the wind has witnessed these same things in the past and therefore it knows the answers to all these questions.

I think the answer is in the wind like, is so hard to get it, to capture the answer (wind) in your hands but still hits u in the face, it’s still obvious, at least thats my opinion don’t know if it makes sense.

I was sitting in a lawn chair listening to the noise my American flag made, as it blew in the wind. And I suddenly made a connection to this song. Was Bob saying that as long as man has national boundaries and yes flags, that these problems (as he saw them) going to continue to exist?

This is a pretty good song explanation. However, most of Dylan's early career was as a folk musician in New York. He had a huge influence from Guthrie and about half of his first two albums were covers of old folk songs.

you forgot one possible meaning for "the answer my friends...". To "blow" air with your mouth, like in making bubbles or steam for sunglasses, one might clean with the hem of a cotton shirt... to blow air like that in the wind is insignificant compared to the wind. The wind takes your minuscule exhale of air and completely dissolves it into itself and swirls it away. You can't recapture that breath of air ever again. It is hopelessly elusive to even try. So it could mean that 'THE ANSWER" (to all these previously posed questions in the song) will be near to impossible to ever find. Trying to find it is like, "...BLOWING IN THE WIND"
