I'd rather like a left guide presser foot. The material can be handled much better if the bulky area is on the left over the table. At any moment I will purchase a new one. The right guide presser foot is useful for small vinyl or leather pieces.
By the way...AMAZING work!! I’ve been doing vinyl work for 43 years and am not impressed easily. You know how to take one or two stitches at a time using both feet. Hardest thing about commercial machines is speed control. Usually learned the painful way. I put a needle all the way through my finger yet because of lightning reflexes and the grace of God didn’t get my finger under the walking feet, or between them. Missed my nail and bone. Yanked my hand straight sideways so fast the side of my finger was split straight down like I had sliced it with a knife. My brain knew instantly very bad stuff was about to happen. Healed perfectly and no permanent damage. I’ve see some lost fingers! Let me know where I can get those items please and keep the videos coming. You almost make me want to open my shop again..... semi retired and very picky on what I do now. Hand tendons shot in left hand. Tensioning hand. Years of upholstery and awning work. Johnette, you need to get a servo motor for your sewing machine....you can slow the motor or speed it up...you can find the on ebay for about $110 and free shipping...there are youtube videos on installing...if I can do it, you can!
Only beginners don't know how to control their speed i dont have a servo motor and might speed up once on 3 full car jobs , but i still never scraped a piece

I have yet to sew over a finger or scrap a piece, so yes you can learn to control it...but a servo is so much better...I have have had mine less than 2 years and wish I had it sooner. It’s the one and only time I ever had an kind of issue. I am 62 and have been sewing since I was 9 years old. Commercial upholstery, draperies, cornices, pin fitted slip covers, awnings, hospitality, automotive, aircraft which is a whole difference animal due to FAR regulations, fire suits, and all the rest for 43 years. Most never do such a variety but I have been blessed to do it all. Still working as a Custom Decorator and do special jobs for clients once in a while if it’s interesting enough.

En una máquina de triple arrastre la barra de aguja se mueve oscilante de atrás hacia adelante conjuntamente con el pié de arrastre pequeño y el peine de arrastre que está abajo (3 elementos). La pata grande simplemente se levanta de arriba hacia abajo en forma vertical para presionar el material a coser. En una máquina de doble arrastre la barra de aguja no hace el movimiento oscilante, simplemente se mueve vertical de arriba, abajo. Si conviene hacer un esfuerzo y comprar estos accesorios de gran utilidad. Me parece que no está muy caro, me salió en 50 USD. Ya encargué por Ebay una igual para la Pfaff 1245. Estos aditamentos existen hace mucho tiempo, pero muchos de los tapiceros, incluyéndome, nos volvemos reacios a querer comprar uno. Siempre queremos coser 'al ojo', pero aveces la vista falla y es mejor usar estas guías que ayudan mucho a mejorar nuestra costura y por consiguiente presentar un mejor trabajo.

Maestro le comente que tengo una maquina consew 206RB -5 walking foot y tiene para ponerle la puntada de un centimetro pero le pongo en el numero 10 y solo me da la puntada de 6 milimetros usted sabra que moverle a esta maquina para que me de los 10 milimetros? La máxima puntada de la Consew es de 6 mm igual que la Pfaff 1245-706 que muestro en algunos videos. Si quisiéramos aumentar esa puntada habría que trabajar en un mecanismos eccentricos que dan movimientos alternantes al peine y a la barra. Un mecánico industrial podría hacer ese trabajo. Tendrían que hacer y adaptar nuevas piezas y creo que saldría mas caro que la máquina.

Like these! I used to just use painter's tape for an eyeball guide for the first application...and this looks like it could definitely speed the process up. The 2nd tool....how much pressure does that foot with that blade guide push down? What is the tightest radius this can be used on without damaging the material you're sewing? Excellent work! @@Cechaflo you are much further experienced than I in this machine. I'm now wondering if the same can be done with my Singer 211G166....as I am just looking at this machine now. I may have to epoxy weld something into place to utilize the first tool. Then I'm concerned about bulky materials that sometimes need a lot of room. I may just not do it for that reason. The sewing machines I have are used but still in good condition. I do not know exactly the year they were manufactured in Germany. I suppose they are a little more than 30 years old. Both trade marks are reliable in their settings. Different car factories in the world used these sewing machine trade marks. The Japanese machines I also trust a lot are Juki, Consew and Brother. The american sewing machine trade mark I also feel confidence in is Singer. The old machines were done to last forever. I started doing car upholstery in the seventies with a domestic Singer sewing machine (black ones). @@huuicho Me parece que los nombres son mas en inglés. Right guide presser foot for Pfaff 1245 En español sería "pié de presión con guia derecha para Pfaff 1245" Las guias van a los lados. La otra sería "pié de presión con guia izquierda para pfaff 1245" Si buscas asi en español va aparecer la información.
Estas patas la puede hacer un buen tornero con mucha facilidad y hasta en acero. Se utilizan dos máquinas, el torno y la fresadora. Tienen que hacerse de acuerdo al modelo de máquina que tenga para hacer la adaptación. En este video muestro una "patita hechiza" (no es original pero funciona)que la adapté a mi máquina. Hello Jermaine, Expose the vinyl seat under the sunrays for 3 to 4 hours. A hair dryer also works efficiently. A steamer also works out. In case of wrinkles on leather a hair dryer is also useful. The leather material shrinks and wrinkles somehow disappear. Be careful to maintain the hair dryer over the vinyl/leather. I mean in movement all over. We only have some basic courses for sale. I will continue posting free videos on youtube. The next video will be one related to how to cover a sunvisor showing the most important step that is how to close the cover by handsewing.
I absolutely love this channel! I have done very few French seams and it was all by eyeball. I promise you it wasn’t straight 😁 I am excited to use these techniques in some of my work. Is the edge guide a universal piece? I use an old singer 31-15 for my medium weight work and would love to find one. You know what I mean by the using both feet comment but for those who do not. I mean he uses his feet to accelerate the machine but at the same time apply the brake as to control how fast the machine is running. Taking one or two stitches at a time is an Art in itself. When I was taught back when I was 19, Hellen would draw all kinds of shapes on all kinds of materials. Plain, checkered, flowers. Anything to make it even harder to follow the shapes. Stars, squares, squiggly you name it. Then time me when I followed her designs. She was one tough smart cookie. Taught me well and demanded perfection. Here’s to you Hellen!!

I have done some adaptations to reduce speed and have more control. The ideal way would be a servo motor.

Do you prefer to use a left or right handed single guiding leg pressure foot? I'm sure I've watched you use both in other video's
I'd rather like a left guide presser foot. The material can be handled much better if the bulky area is on the left over the table. At any moment I will purchase a new one.
The right guide presser foot is useful for small vinyl or leather pieces.

By the way...AMAZING work!! I’ve been doing vinyl work for 43 years and am not impressed easily. You know how to take one or two stitches at a time using both feet. Hardest thing about commercial machines is speed control. Usually learned the painful way. I put a needle all the way through my finger yet because of lightning reflexes and the grace of God didn’t get my finger under the walking feet, or between them. Missed my nail and bone. Yanked my hand straight sideways so fast the side of my finger was split straight down like I had sliced it with a knife. My brain knew instantly very bad stuff was about to happen. Healed perfectly and no permanent damage. I’ve see some lost fingers! Let me know where I can get those items please and keep the videos coming. You almost make me want to open my shop again..... semi retired and very picky on what I do now. Hand tendons shot in left hand. Tensioning hand. Years of upholstery and awning work. Thanks for the inspiration.
Johnette, you need to get a servo motor for your sewing machine....you can slow the motor or speed it up...you can find the on ebay for about $110 and free shipping...there are youtube videos on installing...if I can do it, you can!
Only beginners don't know how to control their speed i dont have a servo motor and might speed up once on 3 full car jobs , but i still never scraped a piece

I started doing upholstery with roller foot sewing machines and also suffered a similar accident on one of my fingers. Fortunately, it was a treadle machine at that time. As far as I remember a 180=24 size needle crossed through my nail and it was really painful. Most of the upholsterers are prone to suffer this kind of accidents once in their lives.

I have yet to sew over a finger or scrap a piece, so yes you can learn to control it...but a servo is so much better...I have have had mine less than 2 years and wish I had it sooner. Highly recommend the servo!

It’s the one and only time I ever had an kind of issue. I am 62 and have been sewing since I was 9 years old. Commercial upholstery, draperies, cornices, pin fitted slip covers, awnings, hospitality, automotive, aircraft which is a whole difference animal due to FAR regulations, fire suits, and all the rest for 43 years. Most never do such a variety but I have been blessed to do it all. Still working as a Custom Decorator and do special jobs for clients once in a while if it’s interesting enough.

En una máquina de triple arrastre la barra de aguja se mueve oscilante de atrás hacia adelante conjuntamente con el pié de arrastre pequeño y el peine de arrastre que está abajo (3 elementos). La pata grande simplemente se levanta de arriba hacia abajo en forma vertical para presionar el material a coser.
En una máquina de doble arrastre la barra de aguja no hace el movimiento oscilante, simplemente se mueve vertical de arriba, abajo. El arrastre del material lo hace con el peine y la pata de presión grande trasera.

If you had a servo motor you would have much smoother starts. I have a Juki LU-1510N and it's amazing over these older machines.

Si conviene hacer un esfuerzo y comprar estos accesorios de gran utilidad. Me parece que no está muy caro, me salió en 50 USD. Ya encargué por Ebay una igual para la Pfaff 1245.
Estos aditamentos existen hace mucho tiempo, pero muchos de los tapiceros, incluyéndome, nos volvemos reacios a querer comprar uno. Siempre queremos coser 'al ojo', pero aveces la vista falla y es mejor usar estas guías que ayudan mucho a mejorar nuestra costura y por consiguiente presentar un mejor trabajo.

Maestro le comente que tengo una maquina consew 206RB -5 walking foot y tiene para ponerle la puntada de un centimetro pero le pongo en el numero 10 y solo me da la puntada de 6 milimetros usted sabra que moverle a esta maquina para que me de los 10 milimetros? La máxima puntada de la Consew es de 6 mm igual que la Pfaff 1245-706 que muestro en algunos videos. Si quisiéramos aumentar esa puntada habría que trabajar en un mecanismos eccentricos que dan movimientos alternantes al peine y a la barra. Un mecánico industrial podría hacer ese trabajo. Tendrían que hacer y adaptar nuevas piezas y creo que saldría mas caro que la máquina.

Like these! I used to just use painter's tape for an eyeball guide for the first application...and this looks like it could definitely speed the process up.
The 2nd tool....how much pressure does that foot with that blade guide push down? What is the tightest radius this can be used on without damaging the material you're sewing?

No problem with the blade guide to damage the material. These OEM spare parts were precisely designed for that purpose.

@@Cechaflo you are much further experienced than I in this machine. I'm now wondering if the same can be done with my Singer 211G166....as I am just looking at this machine now. I may have to epoxy weld something into place to utilize the first tool. Then I'm concerned about bulky materials that sometimes need a lot of room. I may just not do it for that reason. But when it comes to replacing this one. (If ever) I'll be looking for more room. I'd love to have a long arm industrial sewing machine! 😇😎😀

The sewing machines I have are used but still in good condition. I do not know exactly the year they were manufactured in Germany. I suppose they are a little more than 30 years old.
Both trade marks are reliable in their settings.
Different car factories in the world used these sewing machine trade marks. The Japanese machines I also trust a lot are Juki, Consew and Brother. The american sewing machine trade mark I also feel confidence in is Singer. The old machines were done to last forever.
I started doing car upholstery in the seventies with a domestic Singer sewing machine (black ones). I adapted it a roller presser foot, a higher feed dog teeth and a thicker 180 needle with a bigger needle plate hole.

Right guide presser foot for Pfaff 1245 En español sería "pié de presión con guia derecha para Pfaff 1245"
Las guias van a los lados. La otra sería "pié de presión con guia izquierda para pfaff 1245"
Si buscas asi en español va aparecer la información.
Estas patas la puede hacer un buen tornero con mucha facilidad y hasta en acero. Se utilizan dos máquinas, el torno y la fresadora. Tienen que hacerse de acuerdo al modelo de máquina que tenga para hacer la adaptación.
En este video muestro una "patita hechiza" (no es original pero funciona)que la adapté a mi máquina. La hice de manera artesanal. Un tornero la hubiera hecho a perfección.

Hello Jermaine, Expose the vinyl seat under the sunrays for 3 to 4 hours. A hair dryer also works efficiently. A steamer also works out.
In case of wrinkles on leather a hair dryer is also useful. The leather material shrinks and wrinkles somehow disappear. Be careful to maintain the hair dryer over the vinyl/leather. I mean in movement all over.
We only have some basic courses for sale. I will continue posting free videos on youtube. The next video will be one related to how to cover a sunvisor showing the most important step that is how to close the cover by handsewing.
