      One of my fave places to visit. Love how you can drive a few hours south of a Perth and it feels like you’re in a different state

    Great idea to head away from the madding crowds on a public holiday. What a great spot to camp. Glad you could laugh of the freezer challenges. Can’t beat a roaring fire on a cold night. Thanks again for your informed advice and entertaining video. Another venue to put on the ‘to do’ list 👍

      Thank you! Dometic were great and the fridge is back in action - fixed under warranty. Was a fault with a part that monitors the temp in each section. Will be worth the wait for your Ranger 😁

    Have to agree with crazy traffic during holiday periods.
    We used to be able to camp on a private property on the Murray years back and the traffic was crazy on long weekends etc.
    One of the best bits about being retired is that I can go away when most others are working and not have to put up with crazy drivers and overcrowded campgrounds.
    Love the tame critters at a lot of places. We were in the Grampians recently and there was a very tame Emu wandering around. Freaked out a few overseas tourists and knocked off a heap of our bread when were weren't looking.
    Seems that you are copping some fairly average weather on your trips recently.
    Looks like a nice area to camp over there.

    • @Perth4WDandCamping
      @Perth4WDandCamping  Год назад

      Yeah traffic can frustrating at times on long weekends. Don’t mind a slow drive but some people don’t give any consideration to the fact you have a caravan on the back.
      Yeah the local possums very very friendly. Just don’t leave your bin out ha.
      You’re right - we’ve had a few wet camps of late but we don’t mind it. Most of the time the wet weather puts people off so you have the place to yourself.

      Boranup is my favourite beach in the world, I used to surf there heaps as a teenager, but we always accessed from the top lookout carpark, I finally found out about Bobs Track 6 years ago, and got to drive on the beach up to the point. I always envied the guys who could drive straight to the peak they wanted to surf, and warm dry clothes were waiting for them as soon as you get out :)

      My brother in law is an avid surfer and did the trip some months back and really enjoyed. Would have been great as a teenager 😀

    Hey mate, just wondering - how did you get the off-road modes unlocked while having an XLT? Would love to know. I’ve got an XLT and was told there wasn’t any way to unlock them 😢😢😢
    Keep up the great work! Love your videos !

    • @Perth4WDandCamping
      @Perth4WDandCamping  Год назад +1

      Thanks mate. You definitely can unlock the drive modes on the XLT but you need to use Forscan and know what you’re doing. Search up Ranger and Everest Forscan on Facebook and there’s a few people around that can add them for you. There’s a few other things that can be done too 👍

      @@Perth4WDandCamping omg you are actually a legend!! I was wondering if the full time camera could be unlocked ? I have the front camera with the touring pack so was wondering if I could get the off-road parts or that?
      Any chance you feel like sharing the other things I can do? Just to make it easier to search for?
      Any links would be greatly appreciated. I’ve heard of forescan before but wasn’t sure which one I should buy 🤔🤔

    • @Perth4WDandCamping
      @Perth4WDandCamping  Год назад

      No worries. The best group is called ‘Ranger & Everest Mods Australia - Inc Forscan - SAEB’. You should find what you’re looking for, what others have done, and what to buy if you’re game on doing it yourself 😀 You can even turn off the auto stop-start etc.
