@@pepin8277 Hawaii has a total ban on aerial fireworks for years but didn't do anything look up Hawaii new year's eve it's like a war zone every year
that's very dangerous, amateur fireworks right on the street near buildings, very unsafe. Very bad for kids, animals and old people in the buildings, how about sick and dying people. No respect.

I think this year there will be less people that need hospitalization than in previous years, there was significant less fireworks in most cities than previous years.
But Amsterdam is a special case the citizens of Amsterdam hate to be told what to do! But notice the fireworks were NOT launched above the palace, only behind the monument, that is, I heard, how it goes every year. its a tradition,.
That is why so many people went to Dam Square, in the hope that restrictions would not hold back the organizers of the (now "illegal") fireworks.
And they were not let down.
