Is there a way to make interior elevations instead of sections? I'm having loads of trouble with it, I found a way but my computer somehow isn't able to do so
Hi, for the elevation thing i use a renderer called Illustrate. It's a non-realistic renderer. you can render a DWG file from your scene, also you can use it to render an outline style, comic style, toon, hidden lines, wireframe, etc,... this is their website if you like to have an idea about it www.davidgould.com/Illustrate/IllustrateForMax/Illustrate53.htm#WhatsNew. i have the Max 2013-2014 if you are interested.
this is my e-mail if you're interested of having the program: miledrizk@gmail.com
The create shape button remains closed, I cannot take a section, please help me
Hi, in the Section Parameters rollout, Section Extents group, make sure Infinite is checked(this is the default). Move the Section object up and down, you need to see the yellow outline around the objects in the scene, this indicates that the Section plane is passing through at least one object. If it doesn't pass through any geometry then the Create Shape button will be inactive.
Good job👍👍👍
Thank you! :)
Thank you!
Do you know how Can I extract multiple sections equally spaced at once ?
Welcome! For your question, this needs a script, and i was planning to something like this, maybe in the near future when i was some free time.
@@MiledRizk ok thanks for responding. If I do it manually how can I set the distance between two section planes ? Thank you again
@@charmanrecordings1186 you can right click the section modifier, copy, then paste, now you'll have another one in the same location, select its gizmo and move it with a specific value, then repeat this process.
@@MiledRizk ok! Thank you 🙏
@@charmanrecordings1186 welcome :)
Thanks.
Welcome! :)
thanks much. helpfull tut.
Welcome, glad it helped! :)
Thank you very much. Your channel is very helpful. Did you create a script for intersection and Nearest snaps for shapes in 3ds max?
Hi, welcome! :) well no I didn't do any of this script this takes time and currently, I'm a bit busy with new projects so I only have time for lighter stuff. Hopefully, I can have some free time in the near future to do so more scripts.
Work...👍
Good! 👍
That’s not how section should be 3ds max is dead end for an architect must be in collaboration with revit
3DS Max was made basically for creating movies, art works for games, nice visuals,... It was never a precision tool, or an industrial tool. For architecture, yeah Revit, Rhino,... Are great choices. I use Rhino + grasshopper in addition to 3DS Max for modeling. But my renderings are done with 3DS Max + V-Ray. I made this video just to show how to create a 2D section from 3DS Max in case you don't have the luxury to do it in a better way.
@@MiledRizk make a video modeling in revit part1 and render in 3ds max part2
Hi, I use Rhino (in addition to 3DS Max) not Revit, so in case i wanna do a tutorial, it will be Rhino.
