You can't imagine how happy i am when i saw this video. you solved my big problem. I couldn't thankyou enough for this. When i applied things step by step by watching your video and at the end i click the render button i was shocked. Because i just blinked and the render was complete. It is like magic. 👍 😀 thank you sooooooooooooooo much for making this video and making people's life easier!!
You have saved my life, thank you!! Using 2021 Max and Vray Next, however I must say there are details that were missed but these are insignificant to the output I needed, so THANK YOU!
Today many artists (including me) consider that irradiance map is obselete. Now with brute force+light cache combined with denoiser you can get better and faster results than irradiance map. Last video of Adan Martin showcase this point.
Yes, it speeds up render time but not without a cost. The scene would look just as good but there will be more noise, less detail and lighting artifacts.
@@martinilopez1 depends on how strong the denoising is. But if you zoom in, there will still be noise. Although to the naked eye, it's undistinguishable
The irradiance map has been deprecated in Vray 6 and it is slow and messed up my shadows when I tried to use it, I will try everything else, my problem is that I have animated grass in my scene that I used chaos scatter to spread on the lawn, which I think is the main reason for my slow render times.
i wouldn't go below max subdivs 16 for final images. especially for interior images. i don't like the look of heavy denoising. for a final high res interior image with a resolution of 5000x5000 pixel, it's completely ok to have render times of 2 hours...doesn't matter anyways if you let it render over night. for previews it's ok to use lower values.
I'm using light mix in my scene and have to choose brutal not irradiance map. my render took over 11 hours and wasn't done. (it got interrupted). when I reduce certain numbers (such as mentioned in the vid), I get noise even though I'm using vray denoiser. pls what can I do to reduce the time and still have good quality?
hi there please let me know how did you achieve those rounded ceiling defuse lights using irradiance map. i use vray mash light but its really uneven and looks bad. but if switched to brute force its looks fine like yours but the render time and noise is unbearable. thanks.
Thanks for the good tips first bro! One thing I'm curious about is that the talking 'group' in 2:02 Are you talking only about 'groups' or including 'layers' ??? I untied all the groups, but I still get stuck with Building light cache on interactive rendering.. ㅜ_ㅜ Do you happen to know how to solve it, master?

The renders are not same after GPU rendering main different with shadows, reflections and refractions. Hey i have a good Laptop 3070rtx ryzen9 ram40 But vray and max slow and hanging what i can do to benefit with my laptop should i play with invidia control panle sitting or rendering with gpu or cpu please help
Hi, the first thing you should do is to check where your Laptop resources go. If it's not used in any other programs, try to add 3Ds Max to your NVIDIA plan.

It reduces the render time anyway. If your Graphic Card is powerfull, it's better for fast render. It gives accurate results but with low render options.

this is 80% because of the denoiser. set a low setting and adding denoiser pass doesn't always work in all scenarios. but it's a good share

What are the system requirements for fast rendering in 3ds max vray
There are no specific system requirements, the better system requirements the better and faster your render will be.
