When I saw that post on Reddit I thought it would make a great candidate for a video. Glad you tackled it!
I would vote for the video ..yes thanks
I appreciate how quick talking and straight to the point you are in these videos
The last modeling technique was impressive. Thank you.
Short and Sweet. Thanks!
That's a video I would watch! Thanks.
I recognize this post, I made the image response for OP. Funny to see it pop up on my subscription :). Your last suggestion is great, didn't think about it that way! Always learning something new from you.
I would really love to see all different methods being explained in detail in a separate video!
Subtractive makes sense from a designers point of view aswell, since you need that basic shape to encapsulate the motor windings, then you want to lightweight it with some pretty cutouts.
That's a neat way to think about it!
I tend to bias to subtractive, but often find problems with the software not handling subtractive all that well. Especially Blender seems to really hate doing things using subtractive modifiers 😅
yes, please, make a more detailed video discussing approaches to this
There are definitely times when after getting so far into a design, I've stopped and thought... I've really over complicated this. Then redid it in a simpler manner.
Another way of doing this will be, creating 3 bodies and cut the final body with the tool body. therefore you get to adjust the angle of the cut path instead of making them vertical.
I think he made the cut in two steps...
@@alejandroperez5368 The cut he made had a vertical cut profile. By making the surface body first you can adjust the angle of the cut, or the shape of the cut.
I'm not experienced enough to see both approaches. Maybe I should now just take the time instead of just jumping in. Thanks for the video.
Hi, I'm a long time subscriber and love your channel. I was wondering if it is possible to model a thread in a non standard hole size? I wish to put a 1mm pitch thread inside a 19mm hole.
Usual way is to use the coil command to model the thread. You can create a custom thread by modifying one of Fusion360's standard threads, you need to copy & edit an XML file.
you didnt explain anything you just do all shortcuts
