FYI that 2000 W900L did not sound like it had engine problems, (not saying it didn't as this us a video) but being an old school driver I can tell you that engine was pre emissions which means you have to warm them up. Those older engines can get 2-3 million miles if the are taken care of. I would wager that truck has at least another 500k to 800k before it needs a rebuild.
Great vids man. I've learned a lot about trucks, the engines, wear and tear. The newbies and aspiring truckers/owner ops need this. You came a long way from the 20s on the mattress. You really get ALL KINDS OF MONEY! 💪
Just wanted to say you motivate the hell out of my brother just knowing & seeing the opportunity that's still available out there just gotta want it big facts keep inspiring my guy 💪🏿💯
Some 2000 Kenworth W900Ls do come with 2 windows on both sides of the sleeper. Wish I had the money to get my hands on another W900L, I also wish kenworth still made their dash like those older models.
I'm just now starting my Trucking career and I'm loving it. But when you talk about the DEF and being deleted what does that mean exactly? That's my first time hearing that
You can always tell what someone’s like by what they drive. Example the truck that had miss match tires and shocks was obviously a guy who probably didn’t care much and just did whatever too get by. Now if someone cares they get all the same brand tires all the shocks be the same cause people that care are people that are proud and they do it right
Lots of junk at this sale. Fruitloop at one time made some good trucks that looked sharp even against Petes and KW back in the day. International has been a long time that they have ever built a truck like the trans-star II or 4300 hoods back in the day. I didn't see one truck there that said take me home.
Hey Andrew I'm going to catch up with you I'm interested in getting my tankers license Right now I'm working for Western Express trying to do 6 months experience with him but my intentions are to buy my own truck I've been watching you for some time would like to get to know you
@@paladin3116 It doesn't matter. You should still do your due diligence and inspect the truck no matter where it comes from. I'd buy from both fleet or mega as long as it was properly maintained and not overpriced.
@@aptservicesllc3084 yeah i know that, im going to take a mechanic with me as well to look over some before i buy one. Do you know which is better between detroit or cummins for reliability and lower maintenance cost? i guess they would be similar but one has to be a little better, i would go for a older engine like a 12.7 but cali banned all pre emissions engines
@@paladin3116 I've been getting 50/50 reviews on that. I have two mechanics that own trucks. One says he likes Detroit, the other says Cummins. They're both good, in my opinion. I have an ISX Cummins
Tunica, MS, (Taylor & Martin) auction, go check out their website, will keep you updated on when and where auctions will be held, hope that answers your ?
Forget the truck...learn about engines! Repairs and labor on the repairs is what you want to avoid. I was told that the Detroit 12.7, Cummins n-14, caterpillar C-15 6nz, cat 3406b and I think there's another cat engine that's recommended. I was not to touch a twin turbo caterpillar. Also some people do like the 14L Detroit. Now most of these engines are mostly found in older trucks, but I suggest that you educate yourself on the engines and issues associated with whatever truck you're interested in.
@@jamesmayden2155 i know all new emissions engines have problems but if you had to choose one which is more reliable and has reasonable maintenance costs? my state cant run old trucks
@@paladin3116 I'm researching it now as we speak because I want to be able to go to California this spring. I've had experience with the Cummins ISX and I think that's where I'm going to put my money. Probably a '12 - '15 Kenworth with 400-500k miles. Hopefully the DPF filter has already been changed along with the doser. The common issues I had were EGR related as well as a few sensors. I had one to perform over 930k miles before I changed into another that got up to 880k that locked up. You've got to do the preventive maintenance religiously. I'm currently driving an '03 Freightliner Century with a 12.7L 60 series that I'm changing the engine in after 1.8 million miles.
@@jamesmayden2155 see thats what i hate, i want a old detroit 12.7 engine but cali banned all the old pre emissions trucks so im forced into getting a emissions truck. Im looking at used freightliner cascadias with dd15 or international prostars with cummins ISX, doing the research between the two engines online its 50/50. Some people say detroit is more reliable and cheaper to fix and other people say the opposite and say cummins is better than. So far ive seen more positive with the cummins
@@paladin3116 Yup. Most TA's carry parts for the Detroits and they are readily available. Those KW'S are cheap here in in the south, $25-35k. So that's why I'm going that route. That electric tape on the Def lights had me 😂. Unfortunately that's not gonna solve the emission problems. LOL

How do you transport the trucks after purchase? Are they towed off or do you get plates so you can drive them?
That whistle sound it's the turbo spooling lol
I have a 2015 paccar , first one I've had until now. I'm about a year in with it , so far no complaints.
You’re commentary is funny...”that’s a big ass bed, what’s going with the bed” lol
Freightliner Coronado !! Good project truck 💪👍
The ratchet straps that were on the Freightliner Coronado was for them hauling it backwards down the road so they don’t rip apart
Those new peterbilts got closing latch on the side yu hit before closing 😂😂💀💀‼‼
O lol 😂
@Chasing Andrew Jackson - where they got these auctions? M lookin for used truck..
I would buy that Kenworth w900Ls and rebuild it I love that truck

You can’t go wrong with a 2006 Detroit I can’t be a whole lot wrong with it because it’s pre-emissions
I thought freight liner trucks come with refrigerators.. My company use to take them out when they buy the trucks and try to resell it back to us ..
Find a different company, they are clearly shit.
DAMMMM COMPANY FINESSE GAME STRONG
While You're rebuilding the motor in that purple k/w might as well put new clutch in to ,
