Beautiful Church today Sue.I love the way they have done it ,keeping the old pews but painting them white.It is very nicely kept inside and the stained glass windows are gorgeous.The cemetery is in a bit of a sorry state I think it is being hit by the weather that’s causing the damage ,it looks fairly open there.Some amazing old Headstones.I like the old iron crosses too I think they are beautiful .The large statue of Jesus on the cross is so well sculpted ,probably as old as the cemetery.The Saint in the box is that not St.Christopher .I remember the medallion I had hue was carrying a child in his arms.( I am ok with history but not up on the Saints sadly ) .Thank you for the lovely adventure.At least it was dry today.Have you returned home now ? .Love n Light 🥰

The older the tombstone the more inquisitive I am 😅 when you showed Jesus on the cross the contrast that open blue sky had on that was beautiful. Well done friend 😊

Hey Sue another great video. What a wonderful church, thanks for taking us thru there, it should be on the register of historic places if it isnt already. The cemetery was fascinating, quite a few of the headstones were of a similar makeup, though it saddens me to see some pushed over, or tombs just broken, like the ones with rails surrounding it. The Jesus statue was breathtaking, so mesmerizing with such detail...looking up at Him with the blue sky and white clouds in the background, brings us more in touch with Him and appreciative of the sacrifice He made for us. Thankx again! :)
You're right, Jesus on the Cross is life-like and yes, it does look like a St. Anthony statue in that headstone. I loved inside of the church I have never seen gray pews and it looked lovely. It's amazing, we're in different countries and some of the statues were identical to those in my former parish church, which was torn down, even the altars were similar. Got a bit homesick. Thank you Sue, outstanding job. ❤

The Church has been beautifully restored. The colour scheme is unusual but it really works. The Crucifix in the cemetery is lifelike.
