    I went to Egypt in January this year. I cannot tell you the number of times my life flashed before my eyes when I was in a car in Cairo or trying to cross the street. And of course, most taxis I was in did not have seat belts. But it was AWESOME!! I LOVE Egypt!

      Oh! Also, I went to the International Hospital in Luxor with a friend that was scratched by a stray cat. She was worried about rabies. (Though rabies is rare in Egypt and she was barely scratched, but she is a veterinarian and there was no way I was going to let her go by herself. She was going to go by herself!) Well, I am SO GLAD I went with her! It was quite the experience to see how healthcare is managed in Luxor. I will never forget it. From now on, when I travel internationally, I am going too try to see if I can tour their hospitals.

      When you cross a street in Egypt, there is a race between you and cars' drivers, who is going to pass first. Sometimes when you win the race, the car touches you or gives you a light hit.
      In Egypt always call a car from Uber or Careem.
      Egypt is the land of wonders, if you love adventures, just come to Egypt walk in streets and drive a car.
      Note: I am Egyptian from upper Egypt.

    I believe b12 supplement
    is a must in this age since we don't eat veggies "with dirt" anymore. No matter if you're vegan, vegetarian or omnivore. That's why they supplement b12 to the animals people sell for meat, isn't it? With the same supplements you'd buy at the pharmacy. Isn't dirt the only natural source of b12?
    *genuinely curious

    • @MedicosisPerfectionalis

    Can athletes who sweat profusely from daily vigorous workouts be at risk to vitamin deficiencies through water loss?
    I know of some athletes who are constantly catching colds. Is it because their immune system is suppressed?
    How could they combat this?

    • @MedicosisPerfectionalis
      @MedicosisPerfectionalis  4 года назад +2

      Is their any scientific evidence to this phenomenon?
      I don’t know!
      Also, if the athletes are taking testosterone/anabolic steroids, they can weaken the immunity...They are immunosuppressants!

    I have this question about vitamin B12. I am from Indian state where more than 95 % population is vegetarian and my family is also vegetarian. Though we never took any vitamin supplement, and still i never heard of anyone in getting B12 deficiency. What could be the reason? We don't eat eggs and meat but we includes dairy products in our diet

    With all due respect, do you still think that just lowering all/any LDL is good for everyone?

    • @MedicosisPerfectionalis
      @MedicosisPerfectionalis  2 года назад +2

      Nothing is absolute...Risk factors are not causes. The body is too complex to have a one-size-fits-all answer.
      Moreover, there’s non-linearity here; someone with LDL of 700 will probably benefit more (from lowering his LDL), than someone with an LDL of 135.
      Thank you 🙏
