@@hotwhisky6434 sorry Jorge, I think flow wrestling is doing a tremendous injustice to wrestlers, they are not getting the recognition they deserve because flow is trying to capitalize off their talents. We are not paying to watch, and it is making the sport less popular, not more popular. We don't pay to watch football, basketball, baseball etc. This is hurting wrestling.

In both match it looks like seth gross has been the better wrestler for the first half and desanto the last half of the match. Hard wrestling seems to wear on seth gross in both matches. Be interesting to see what happens later in the year with game plans on both part side. And thanks BIG TEN Network for showing this for free.
If I was Gross I would work on conditioning and handling the pressure, that's the only thing Desanto has is that huge gas tank and Savage pressure.

Rivera actually won that match against him. He got super lucky and gassed out in that match too.

Second stall call in front of the Iowa bench was weak. DeSanto was obviously pushing Gross out of bounds.
Crazy match, what a stacked weight class.
And it's crazy that lasy year's finalists took redshirt..imagine if they were still in it.
I'll bet anybody the next two matches gross's coaches will use injury time and challenges to get some lung recovery time in for Seth.

This whole match was a mess because of the ref....

Why was that not a reversal? im confused... looks like control.
At 5:58 the ref should have started a danger count. Desanto was on his back grasping Gross' far ankle to defend the takedown. He broke 90 degrees for a whole 6 seconds. I know it's a newer rule, but it is a rule so they need to do a better job in enforcing it.
Really bad 2nd stall call as well, that should have been an action call.
What's a danger count?
FA Flick if you’re in neutral in a scramble position and one wrestler has their back exposed (breaking 90 degrees) for I believe a three count, a takedown is awarded.
Always waiting to see how deSanto reacts after a loss.Seems to have grown up a bit .Very improved wrestler from last year.Gross is tough but i my money is on DeSanto to win it all this year

All these new rules and stoppages do not favor Iowa’s style lmao. Ten seconds for a break to check tape is like a year for a wrestler to get there wind back.

Gross has to gwt better conditioning & we're realizing that Desanto isn't a one trick pony. Being able to hang with Gross in scramble situations is pretty impressive.

If you watch any match where desanto is put in a cradle he gets killed. Cries, fakes injuries, gives up, etc

Naw he didn't outwresle him. Though Gross gassed a bit later on he was still tactical early on by putting up points in the opening period.

Gross is a smart wrestler and was able to make adjustments. But the pace of Desanto could quickly nullify Gross' game plan. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SAGA TO CONTINUE!

Coty Riggleman well they did say he’s wrestling at 57kg for the Olympic trials during this match so it makes sense
I haven't been keeping up with wrestling for reasons but I'm just saying he doesn't look healthy at 133 or the very least energetic especially if we're talking 125 but I anit here to argue or anything like that

DeSanto would’ve had the match if he bellied out immediately after the 2 was called, if he did that Gross wouldn’t have been able to lock up the cradle. Good match, nevertheless

133lbs is certainly very wide open. Gross is not the typically great wrestler that no one can score on. Fix and Suriano were impossible to take down. With Seth, I see two to three more losses for him.

Demetrius Davis yeah, I think he could do well at 41. He could also just let his weight be where it was last year and just make the tough cut for trials. He really needs to do something different tho cause his weight is clearly having a massive negative impact

I believe it's a pretty recent rule change where if you back out of bounds in neutral position it is automatic stalling. They're doing this in high school at least, I could be wrong about its integration into college rules

@@justinmaguire169ah that's another rule. You only have a certain amount of time that you can hold onto the ankle before being called for stalling and Gross exceeded it. You can see the ref counting once Gross drops to the leg.
