- Hey Guys!
I had a crazy amount of people asking about the new IOS14 update on TikTok so I decided to make a easy to follow step by step tutorial! This is my new obsession! I am so in love with how aesthetically pleasing my iPhone is! I used the app Widgetsmith to create my aesthetic phone backgrounds! Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this because I came to understand this pretty well! I made my custom apps on Adobe Illustrator :)

TIP: you could actually hide the apps you made a shortcut for.
-Put all of them in one page
-Edit the screen then tap the page dots
-then you can uncheck the page you don’t need

I did this and I’m SO happy with it omg! I just put random beige aesthetic photos for each of my apps and it’s so pretty!
Also I see that all of your apps are still called “New shortcut”. You can actually change it if that off put anyone from doing this and name it whatever you please or just stick to your typical app names like I did.
If anyone has anxiety or ocd tho tRUST ME you wanna do this!!! Idk what it is but I never knew the state of my home screen was a source of anxiety until I did this! Thank you so much for showing us how to do this! 🥰

how do I add the calender customized widget onto the homescreen?

hold down on an app to edit homescreen, press the + in the top right corner , scroll down to widgets and add it
demi leigh i i did that and it added a basic calender widget and i cant add the one i customised myself..
auqtmn add the regular calendar and then it says edit widget and you can choose the one you made
nene chan it won’t let me do that
for me when I did it when I opened a app I did on short cuts it takes me to shortcuts and then to the actual app which is so annoying :(
That is the only issue with this method. I did slightly mention it in the video but for me the lag in app changes is so short it is worth it.

It's a shame it does that. I wonder if Apple can eliminate that step.
Jayden Gentry hold your screen down, then press the plus button on your top right, then there will be a variety of widgets you can place, if you keep scrolling down then you can see that it will be there, the. you can just lightly tap on it and it’s added to your home screen !

I think you have to add a photo to an album then just name it whatever you want and choose the widget you want and when you add it to your phone just click widget and it’ll show the albums you made with the picture you chose i hope this helped it’s what i did :

She made it through Adobe illustrator but you can easily change colours of images by downloading them online (tutorial for the shortcuts only on my acc)

Hey girl that happened to me! All you have to do is click the widget and then it will let you choose what photo album you want to show :) hope that helps!

I also had that problem, you basically hold down the widget when you added it to your home screen just like you would delete it and then press „edit widget“ and usually it says „small #1“, you click on that and change it to the folder you want, hope it helped

Hold your finger down on the home screen (not on any apps) then there will be a plus in the upper right hand corner where you can add a widget by scrolling down to wedgetsmith
