iOS 14.3 update removed the redirection to shortcuts app and now it goes directly to the App.

@@Rubbergug as I mentioned, you need to update to 14.3 for that.
Once updated it will directly open app and will show banner mentioning that is from shortcuts.
Additionally you can check change log on apple website
IOS 15 Now doesn’t take you to the shortcuts before opening the app!!! Best change ever

Yeah it does. It doesn’t open the app shortcuts, but when opening the desired app via the shortcut it will show on top that it was opened via shortcuts
It shows a banner on top for a second. That is still annoying, but less annoying.
That banner pop-up is actually very frustrating.

Really nice tiered overview of home screen customization options, Marques. Just signed up and will be checking out some of your other videos. I switched last month from Android to iOS. There are things I certainly like about iOS but I am TOTALLY missing the ease and variety of customizability I had with my Android. I SO hope Apple gets their act together and starts allowing for this.
Yes same! I love how iOS is really put together and simple to use, but I miss being able to customise my phone much more easily. But I have had enough of android, I used to go for Xiaomi phones and at one point, no matter what I did, the phone said I had no service even tho the sim worked perfectly in other devices. So I thought this time I wanna spend some money on a phone that’s good quality and might as well try out iOS.

Not sure if people have already added this tip. But could go to settings and search Reduce Motion then turn Reduce Motion ‘ON’. Just allows for apps to load up fine without going to shortcut first 👍🏻

It's actually very depressing. The widgets already look better than on Android. Android hasn't had good widget development in years.

RUclips gives more bitrate to higher resolutions even if you don't have a monitor that can show all of those pixels

They updated the shortcut thing so it doesn’t open the shortcut app when you press it, it just opens the app immediately. That’s how it works on my iPad at least

Sooo true! I have an iPad Air 3rd generation and when I installed the iOS 14 update today, just like everyone else, I went straight to accessing the new features. But I was so disappointed that I couldn’t use all of the new features simply because it was an iPad.

@@TheVinmain Wait till they are able do DLNA, mirroring from any device, animated lockscreen, powersharing, or native screen record without that awkward menu outro. It does feel like they're becoming android, especially the double tap for google assistant. Excellent play by android to have their functionality in both OG competitors (Microsoft and Apple). You can teach a couple of old dogs new tricks.

@aero I use mine as an internet radio device. It sits on a wireless charger, connected to my living room speakers over bluetooth. It didn't slow down over the years.

Chris as a UI Designer I can tell you, That this is completely untrue. Apple has some guidelines, but they are not as strict as you might think. The real reason why the apps look different on iOS, is because they develop natively and have different teams for each os. Also: Frontend developer != Designer. They sometimes fuck the given Design up when developing the app.
@@MrADeveci its not google's fault ios has better app design and apple makes very few phones so its easy to make a awsome looking app but Android releases hundreds of phones each year with various sizes and screens etc so theres 1 design for all the Android thats why it dosent look as good as ios
