    There are a lot of vids about this, but they went way over my head! As a naturally talented artist, but having little formal education about why what I do works when it does, I found this well explained in layman's terms. Big thanks, I hope to apply this to my work.

    Some say it does start with 0.
    So 1+0= 1, that's why the 1 repeats in the beginning of the pattern.

      However I'm not going to sit in furniture built by a carpenter who doesn't start their measuring tape at "0".

    I also noticed that if you take the 16th number of the sequence, 987, and take the square root of it, you get the first four numbers of pi but with the dot in a different place.

    Another way to point to the fact that all things are made by design. The earth, moon and sun all have equal proportions in spite of their sizes. Even your own fingerprint or DNA is like no other person's. Good explanation of this phenomenon on your video!

    I'm not a mathematician by any stretch but when you explain the sequence at 40 seconds in, you start with one, and then say that it is the smallest possible unit and that therefore you simply duplicate it. Is it not more likely that you would add zero, which would create one again, and before that simply add zero and zero. Obviously stopping when adding zero and itself instead of going into negative values as we are trying to go as small as possible, and not as far towards negative infinity.

    This is an invitation to see a theory on the nature of time! In this theory we have an emergent uncertain future continuously coming into existence relative to the spontaneous absorption and emission of photon energy. In this process we even have an objective reason for the start of the Fibonacci numbers 0, 1, 1,... with the t = 0 and the positive +1 and negative -1 representing the positive and negative of electromagnetic waves with everything being based on one geometrical process. In this theory the future is not random it is based on a process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking. Spherical symmetry forms the low entropy that we see if we look back in time at the ‘big bang’ and also forms the potential for ever greater symmetry formation that we have in cell life with the Fibonacci spiral being visible almost everywhere in nature! This is because if the quantum wave particle function Ψ or probability function is reformulated as a linear vector then all the information I have found says that each new vector is formed by adding the two previous vectors together this forms the Fibonacci Sequence 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, ∞ infinity!

    Interesting...
    The Fibonacci sequence (From which one can get the golden number) starts with having a 1 added (twice). And, if you square the golden number (1.6180339887...) the result seems to be the same as if you added 1.

      Of course, it makes me curious how you never really get the golden mean because it is always becoming more accurate as you go along. Obviously we don't need an impossibly perfect golden mean since (at least that i'm aware of) at a certain point, more accuracy is unnecessary to be practical in the real world.

      Handarand, it's funny you say that. When people hear "secret society", they don't readily assume the cult keeps treasured secrets, just scary or dark ones. This sacred knowledge is being dumped down in the educational system for their benefit. Notice how when you search for how to apply the sequence practically, you get trade advice first!

    This is stupid and serves no necessary point in life. To start off at 1 and then add another 1 just because logically you can’t go to 2 makes no sense. Nothing in life follows this pattern just because things look like a spiral doesn’t mean anything. Anyone can make their own version of this.
