Honestly, idgaf about the Aurora splashart being "sexualized." Every male release bar Millio who is literally a child, has been shirtless with 8% body fat and biceps the size of my head. I don't have a problem with that either as long as it goes both ways. So fuck it, WE'RE SO BACK
tl;dr was tarzaned felt like he was wronged by dantes felt that dantes was a douche thus he leaked their discord dms that contained dantes flirting with other e-whores and laura's abortion. dantes eventually streamed it along with laura. tarzaned didnt care and removed himself from the drama and just full cleared jungle with noc.
Arent the aurora changes more for proportion? If they only make her face bigger, but her body stays the same size, the proportion of head x body wouldnt be ideal. Either way, I dont really care, at the end of the day its not like u can really see anything besides a bit of her thighs, which i also think were made thicker cuz of the added fur on them.
No absolutely not lol, speaking as someone who's been an artist for a long time(Not quite a riot artist level, but close enough that I can understand the things they do) and a NSFW artist for a large portion of it, the changes they made were very specifically targeting her sexual appeal... Even the changes to the lighting specifically highlight key points of 'interest' better. Personally, not a huge fan of it since I think it runs counter to the narrative of her being autistic, since it puts a lot more focus on her external surface level appeal And those proportions, she went from a highly attractive woman, to basically a porn parody of herself... I'm a fan of the art of sexual character design, but I wish they would show more restraint to characters that it just doesn't make much sense to be sexualizing. Keep it to the Samira's, Evelynn's, Sylas's, Ahri's where you have more to say with it, and let there be more ways of expressing a characters appeal than just "are they hot"
The thing they changed was her proportions not for them. If the head was to big the body could just be changed in size to match. Whereas in this the actual proportions of the body changed. The chest and thighs had a completely different shape as well as size
Not sure why riot feel the need to stamp the autistic label on aurora, and what I mean by this is that there is another champion (extremely similar in design) that is very evidently autistic, and she wasn't plastered with the autistic label. I'm talking about Lillia. My autistic friend likes Lillia because: "she's literally me" so It's really evident that they've reached the inclusivity and representation quota already. Of course I shouldn't need to say this, but having more autistic champions shouldn't be taken off the table, and should remain a thing. The real problem I among others have is that riot will make a champion, and just slap the label on that they're autistic, without using the "show don't tell" principle of effective character design. Basically riot being lazy and/or admitting they can't be bothered ACTUALLY making the champion autistic. And that's where the issue lies.
In my opinion, there's a handful of other champions that seem autistic to me (Based on my experiences playing as them as an autistic person): Ryze, Poppy, Heimerdinger, Yorick, Ornn, also Singed and Jinx but there's a lot wrong with those two so it's hard to say
They have no problem making male champs with sexy hip lines, shirtless 8 packs, perfect jaws... it's nice to see a female champ get the same treatment for the first time in awhile. It's been a long time since there's been a traditionally hot female champ. Not saying the other champ designs aren't good, but it's been too long since we got something.... idk. Normal? It's just nice to see is all.
Would I have preferred a more animalistic champion after we were promised a bunny champion? Yes. Do I think that her design is kinda gauche and a little unfitting? Yes. Did they also put thick thighs in my face and give me a mage with a massive witch hat? Also yes. Its hypocritical, but I aint complaining
Massive agree. Honestly in my fucking fantasy games, i dont wanna be the slightly handicapped and realistical male, i dont wanna be the overweight but confident female that had to overcome adversity. I wanna be big booba hot girl or big badass unbreakable guy. Leave the real problems in the real world.
@@tommyman1047 that's perfectly fine, but you have to understand that some people want characters in video games and media to represent them. They want to see someone who looks like them being powerful and doing cool shit. They don't wanna feel like they can't do those things because of who they are. And that's valid too. @@minimonkeymasher8888 Viktor was peak manliness in any show ever created. Never complained. Just went to work, literally sacrificing himself for the progress of humanity and making life better for people like him. IDC whether you're a scrawny boy or a ripped gymbro, that mentality is aspirational

Ahri’s character is inherently sexual whereas Aurora’s isn’t. I don’t really care either way but I can understand someone not being a fan of characters who aren’t meant to be sexual, being sexualised and vice versa. If anything it takes away from the characters who are meant to have their sex appeal being a part of their character because it then becomes just normal design.
Ahri is sexualized to further her fantasy and design, whereas Aurora's sexualization works against her design. One is basically a succubus who lives in a jungle-ified wealthy-seeming society, the other is an autistic nerd who lives in Siberia. You probably see where people might take offense here. I see where you're coming from though. Most people won't think about the impact this decision has on her design, they're just made that _another_ girl was objectified.
her thighs are the same size, they just made the socks bite into her thigh some more, which makes her look less like a doll and more real. increasing proportions doesn't inherently mean they are sexualizing the character.
@@KRESTFELL The base design was already sexualised; I think that is where the issue lies, and the adjustments made weirdly make her more sexualised despite being done for proportions. I don't think you realise that the people who found her attractive before would probably find her more so now in regards to the splash art.
The worst offender with the new splash art is, they made Aurora more voloptuous, but her waist stayed the same. Like she is already traversing a frozen tundra in a mini skirt, but then this? Damn.

@@azizkash286 literally what aspect of what I said did you not understand? I'm talking about how it feels like Riot's attempt at being "relatable" to their newer younger playerbase by referencing our modern internet culture.
What’s wrong with bigger breasts and thighs? Are you saying that women shouldn’t have that? Like bro, it’s okay, it’s okay for women to be sexy and have breast, cleavage, thighs, etc….
looking at the splashart, the upperbody breast size hasn't increased THAT drastically, it was increased a bit as the boy itself was adjust, but most of it's effect has to do with the lighting, and less actual size.
I did not even notice the body changes, but the lighting, colors and overall look of the new splash art (we even lost details on her outfit) is very inferior to the previous one. I thought they messed up and put a preliminary artwork instead of the finished one. I guess the best compromise would be to keep the previous splash but add only the body changes.
They made the magical effects much less interesting, and removed most of the texture that was rendered in the original. It's a shame too, cause the coat looked fucking amazing before.
Riot probably saw all of the thirst for her already and decided to accentuate her features a little more. Not a big deal tbh, if you freak out over this you should get offline for a while imo. The lighting is a massive improvement though.
I remember when Riot would not involve themselves and their games in the politics of the real world because they knew that that is a good way to upset people when you dont mean to as you cannot please everyone. They just let people fill things in for themselves like assuming Graves is gay when nothing suggested this. I guess the people that were smart enough to do this left Riot.
By "not involving themselves" that is also political, them expressing human interest is not a problem, them expressing corporate PR shit disguised as human interest IS a problem. Quit your coping
@@stephenkrahling1634 No, that's not a valid explanation, because that would mean all dimensions of human interaction are political in nature, like how you call your parents. @@儀水鏡の妖怪霊 "... They were focusing on the game's thematic before, now they are concerned over real-life politics..." couldnt have put it better myself. A clear statement of what the real problem is
It's a world where magic is everywhere, the lore is amazing, and the character, and the champion have deep back story and nice idea behind the art. And somewhere, there is the new champion, an experience vampire who get out, an emo artist who see his school be destroied by a friend, a baby dragon who get kidnap and learn human speach, and an autistic lady bunny friend with the demi god Ornn. That all, no description, no others story, i mean there is other champion who don't have a lot of story, but they are old or not big enough in the lore for making story, it's more easy to give a depression to a human who get posses by a god and get traumatise and start a depression, then explain why a vastaya who is more a magic creature then human be autistic, or how a vastaya who came from Ionia go to a snow desert in the middle of nowhere. I mean if you think of it, that don't make sense, who in is right mind prefer to go there then in an other land, even if she is not affected by the temperature, the food is rare and the danger is everywhere. It's just stupid and i think a bit lazy from Riot to give that type of information who are useless then telling how she get there, why she was there in the first place, why she can control magic that easily, how was her relation has a child (and because she is autistic that can be really great to explore). The champ has a lot of story to tell, but that go nowhere and they try to hide the lack of story behind a mini game (a fantastic one, where her design was better ngl) and some social problem who don't get exploited (a mean Ornn too like to be alone and he is not autistic from what we know, and Ornn followers were not too, so it's not really important becaude we don't see it).

Well. When I saw her concepts and the result, like how she looks, "redhead bunny girl with glasses, who looks cute" I was ready to buy her at start, when I saw her skill kit, I said that will main her. And now she got "buffed". Yo, Riot. Thank you.

Personally, not a huge fan of it since I think it runs counter to the narrative of her being autistic, since it puts a lot more focus on her external surface level appeal
And those proportions, she went from a highly attractive woman, to basically a porn parody of herself...

I like the old design lighting, makes her look more menacing, all in all cool design ig.
You guys shurley know the Toystory meme where Andy dropps Woody for Buzz. The Ahri skinn and Auroras release just fits way to perfeklty here.
Yep its damage control. They dont mention the Ahri stuff, then they distract us and hope we forget.
There's a place for both Conan the Barbarian, and Viktor from Arcane to be in the same setting with the same amount of power.
@@minimonkeymasher8888 thats alright to some extent, but every game nowadays gets attacked for having unrealistic characters and beauty standards to the point that it pushes companies to comply, the whole idea of roleplaying used to be, being someone else, not being just like yourself and being supermen out of nowhere
messaging the parties involved in the drama is the most mature and professional thing ever and i didn't expect that maturity from a league of legends news channel of all things
Ahri literally shows her full jumbo thighs in most of her splash arts i don't see why Aurora's thigh is a problem
I don't think you realise that the people who found her attractive before would probably find her more so now in regards to the splash art.

looking at the splashart, the upperbody breast size hasn't increased THAT drastically, it was increased a bit as the boy itself was adjust, but most of it's effect has to do with the lighting, and less actual size.
I did not even notice the body changes, but the lighting, colors and overall look of the new splash art (we even lost details on her outfit) is very inferior to the previous one. I thought they messed up and put a preliminary artwork instead of the finished one.
I guess the best compromise would be to keep the previous splash but add only the body changes.
yeah I like the old art better, it feels more polished idk

@@stephenkrahling1634 No, that's not a valid explanation, because that would mean all dimensions of human interaction are political in nature, like how you call your parents.

Mog'Maw reminded me of the "Kisser" mob from the Dragonquest series. xD
Riot finally get the quote "Thicc Thighs saves live"
Yeah I love a champion that doesn't have an in-game definition but it is defined by the company and also represents my teammates
Tbh i like the old splashart more. Idk the darker lighting looks betterr in my opinion with the mysterious magical theme
