    This Govind Dev Ji temple is located in the City Palace, the residence of the royal family of Jaipur. This Govind Dev Ji temple dedicated to Lord Shri Govind Dev Ji is one of the seven Thakurs of Vrindavan, which includes Shri Radhaballabh Ji, Shri Banke Bihari Ji, Shri Govind Dev Ji, Shri Gopinath Ji, Shri Madan Mohan Ji, Shri Radha Raman Ji and Shri Jugal Kishore Ji.

    It is something like this that about 5000 years ago, King Vajranabh of Mathura built three idols based on the form of Lord Shri Krishna and the form of Lord Shri Krishna heard from his grandmother. The first idol among these is of Shri Govind Dev Ji. The second idol is of Shri Gopinathji of Jaipur and the third idol is of Madan Mohanji of Karauli.
    After the end of Shri Vajranabh's rule, Mathura Mandal and other provinces were ruled by the Yaksha community. Due to the fear and uproar of the Yaksha community, the priests had hidden the three idols of Shri Krishna, Govind Dev Ji, Gopinath Ji and Shri Madan Mohan Ji in the ground. After that, due to the rule of Muslim invaders for many years, the priests forgot to remove Govind Dev Ji and other idols from the ground. Then in the 16th century, two disciples of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the great devotee of Thakur Ji, Roop Goswami and Sanatan Goswami, found the idols of Govind Dev Ji and others. Sawai Mansingh, the Subedar of Vrindavan, the commander of the Mughal ruler Akbar at that time, built a grand temple in Vrindavan in 1590 and installed Radha Govind Dev Ji in that temple. When Aurangzeb came to power in the 17th century, he ordered the breaking of idols in many Hindu temples. Then the then priest of Vrindavan, Shri Shivram Goswami ji brought Govind Dev ji and other idols to Rajasthan, out of which the idol of Govind Dev ji was taken under protection by the rulers here.
    Raja Mansingh established the idol of Govind Dev Ji in Amer Valley, which is today known as Kanak Vrindavan. After the settlement of Jaipur, Sawai Jai Singh established the idol of Govind Dev Ji in the Surya Mahal built in Jai Niwas Garden, which we all know today as Govind Dev Ji Temple. Govind Dev Ji was considered the king of Jaipur and the government norms were implemented here. The Jaipur royal family has been serving and worshipping Govind Dev Ji by considering him as the king and themselves as his Diwan. After Radha Govind Dev Ji came to Jaipur from Vrindavan, many sects propagating Govind Dev Ji in the Braj region came to Jaipur. For Vaishnavs, Radha Govind Dev Ji Temple of Jaipur is one of the most important temples outside Vrindavan. Govind Dev Ji Temple of Govind Dev Ji Temple is a temple without a prey. There are more temples than the middle of Jaipur under Govind Dev Ji Temple. Friends, there is a satsang hall in the Govind Dev Ji temple complex. This hall has made its place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Outside the Govind Dev Ji temple, you will also see a small market for worship material and items related to Govind Dev Ji. There is also an ancient well in the premises which is also called Amrit Kuan where people feel refreshed by drinking water.
