A Bit About Me:
We all know that home is where the heart is. But that doesn’t have to be made of bricks and mortar with a view that only changes with the seasons.
On my journey I’ll demonstrate how low impact living in a small space can make travel and adventure possible.
I’m Neil, an individual with a thirst for adventure and spend my time time living and travelling in a combination of my converted van, under canvas and on my adventure motorcycle. On my journey I demonstrate how low impact living in a small space can make travel and adventure possible.
My social channels Park it, Pitch it or Moor it will appeal to anyone with an interest in travel, adventure, camping, camper vans and small space living, whether this is using two wheels, four wheels or something that floats. I have a great passion for the outdoors and want to get people out there enjoying the world as I do.
As well as home being where the heart is, home can be wherever you park it, pitch it or moor it!

I have been binge watching your channel and the feeling I most experience is delight. Some of the shots in this video were so beautiful. You capture the aesthetics of cooking with fire beautifully.
That’s very kind. Thank you! I love to hear if you have a favourite. Thanks for watching!
Wow, and I was just imagining cooking scrambled eggs or fried fish, or soup on my KK. You opened a whole new world of delightful dishes. Thanks so much.
Thank you Chuck! It’s good fun experimenting and exploring possibilities. KK’s are great and so much more than just a water boiler ☺️
Love it! Have never even thought about doing cake on the kk! Im always trying to keep cooking times real short to save over heating and softening the aluminium base, hows yours been with all these big cook outs. Maybe I should be trying a few of these.
Thanks for watching! My fire bowl has been absolutely fine, although I do have the stainless steel version.
I couldn’t say for sure, but I imagine the fire would be less hot when using the hobo stove as opposed to when boiling water due to the increased airflow/ rocket stove effect when the KK kettle is on top. So if it’s not getting soft when boiling it should in theory be ok when using the hobo stove.
Well done on the fudge cake. It turned out really well. And your location is stunning. Keep the recipes coming!
Thanks! ☺️. The sunsets here are particularly amazing how they reflect off the water. I think I was quite lucky though for November (nearly December!). Watch this space for the next video, I’m sure it won’t be long before I’m out cooking again!
Very cool, shows I'm not using my trekker version to it fullest capability. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for checking out my channel! The Kelly Kettle range are great bits of kit and good fun to experiment with. Have fun getting out there and trying new things 👍🏻
Great video that matey, nice to see it worked out good. great idea again, keep them coming.
Thank you! Took a long time to steam but the sunset was amazing for this time of year so I didn’t mind too much ☺️. Did you get out over the weekend?
Wow, this is really impressive. Especially with a wood burner like the kk.
Thank you! It’s amazing what you can do with the KK kit. In other videos I have baked and even smoked using the KK. Cheers. Neil
@@parkitpitchitmoorit just got my first kettle, ill subscribe to have a look mate
@@jammydodger1449 that’s awesome! You’re going to love it. Cheers. Neil
One thing that puts me off about the kelly Kettle is when the pot stand is put on top. It seems to work, but looks like an accident waiting to happen. Your steamed cake seemed to work nicely. As I watched, I was thinking you could make poached or scrambled eggs that way. I don't have a KK yet, but I might buy myself one by Spring. I want to take some short camping trips with my truck and my DD hammock. Thanks for your willingness to experiment.
I know what you mean about stability. I’ve barely used the pot stand on top as you’re not meant to have it fired up without water in it and it boils the water so fast it leaves little time to cook! That being said I have the scout (medium) which offers the best width / height ratio. You’re right, there are many steaming / poaching possibilities in fact with Christmas looming I might steam myself a Christmas pudding 😋
That’s fantastic! How long did you steam it for in the end? I’ve just come back from Wiltshire filming my next Kelly Kettle cooking video. I’d love to know your ideas to improve what I cooked, once the video is up.
Hi. Thanks for checking out my video, so glad you liked it! I didn’t actually time how long I steamed it for but looking back at the separate clips it was around 45 to 50 minutes - Quite a long time to be steaming for but with a sunset like that I didn’t mind too much ☺️. I have come across a few of your videos so I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for your next!
@@parkitpitchitmoorit That's a doable duration and you did manage the fire really well. Yes, beautiful location you found there. I've subscribed so I'll look forward to more Kelly Kettle cooking videos! p.s. I sail too 🙂
Thanks for subscribing ☺️. When the weathers warmer hopefully we’ll have some pitch it videos up there too, followed by some moor it ones when we get our sailboat in the water 🤞
