No way very similar to Chilwell whose best & probably only attributes are defending & crossing from the flank while Alonso was skilfull, calm & can easily control a ball, can comfortably carry a ball anywhere on the pitch with some accurate passing.

Nini. Wrt Chilwell, I was saying this when I saw the Club America game. I immediately knew that Chilwell will be gone. I think Maresca/Pep ball needs ball players in every position, able to have perfect ball control, press resistance and the ability to be dynamic in the game. This is what Pep is pushing the game towards and traditional positional players like Chilwell will find it hard. Sad to see him go though. Love your channel, love the growth!

Chalobah really doesn't fit in though nini. At his best under Tuchel i was still tense when he is under pressure in possession. he can play in a high line, beast of a tackler , very decent 1v1 and defending with his head but bringing out balls interchanging positions and starting attacks from defense. He ain it. He my boy but this system is gonna expose the things he is weak at.
I agree. But neither is disasi or badiashille. Colwill is the opposite; he can ping a pass but one on one he's a marshmallow. Viega and Tosin have to come good this season for this experiment to work

Badiashile seems comfortable on the ball disasi also I just think he needed to get used to playing against bigger frame fwd but french league players tend to have that technical ability as a baseline yk. And individually i saw great performances from them different points of the season so amma say improve them. Not seen much improvement in chalobah over the last 4 years.

If we force out Gallagher, Chalobah, Broja, Chilwell, Lukaku and potentially Sterling, Sánchez, Chukwuemeka and Humphreys, we'll have seven homegrown players left at the absolute most. A full senior squad demands eight. Anjorin will surely leave. Most of our U21s won't become homegrown because they were either too old (like Gusto) or were loaned to foreign sides at 18 or older (most of them). Sánchez is backup level (same as Petrović and Jørgensen), Colwill hasn't been great and has no seniors to learn from, Dewsbury-Hall has never performed in the Prem, Bettinelli doesn't play, and Sánchez was benched at Brighton for a keeper who hasn't been decent at shot stopping since he was in League Two... in 2009.
Caicedo didn't become homegrown because he went on loan to Belgium. Gusto can't because he was loaned to France, and so was Ângelo Gabriel. Słonina can't because he was loaned to the US and Belgium. Ugochukwu was too old even if he stays in England until 21. Andrey Santos can't because he was loaned to Brazil. Casadei was too old. Both Fofanas were too old. Wiley is too old. The likes of Washington, Gilchrist, Kellyman and George still need PL2 minutes. Guiu might become homegrown. Bergström is the only youngster on the fringes who's actually become homegrown, and he's probably ninth choice goalie. Despite all this, we're still trying to sign non-homegrown over 21s - mediocre ones at that. Pedro Neto? João Félix? LMAO
We got rid of possession managers who have performed at various points in the Prem for a Championship keepball manager who's even riskier at the back, even worse against low blocks in the final third, who scraped a title with half a Prem squad, and who has no plan B. We still don't have a first team quality goalie, we're downgrading our defence and midfield, and we're trying to get rid of one half of the most formidable fullback pairings in Europe while the other is injured AGAIN after surgery. We've also just had arguably our most painful preseason since... idk when. We've even replaced our vice captain with a div who sings racist songs. We're even trying to force out the only player who battled last season. I have no idea how this season could possibly be better than the last two. Scary times.

Gomez is good but he will be go from the Liverpool bench to the Chelsea bench purely because he is a utility player and can play any position in defence.
